UN fails to reach deal on global arms trade treaty
Submitted by fireant on Fri, 07/27/2012 - 20:22"U.N. member states have failed to reach agreement on a new treaty to regulate the multibillion-dollar global arms trade.
Some diplomats and treaty supporters blamed the United States for triggering the unraveling of the month-long negotiating conference.
Hopes had been raised that agreement could be reached on a revised treaty text that closed some key loopholes by Friday's deadline for action. But the United States announced Friday morning that it needed more time to consider the proposed treaty -- and Russia and China then also asked for more time."

U.N. Treaty Banned Guns?
Alex Jones said it passed when talking about Colorado shooting 'false flag'.
(I didn't listen to video.)
What's the real story?
Have U.S. Citizens lost their rights to bear arms?
(I understand now why we need to fight this!)
How does this work?
Thanks.
Good
This is just a stalemate, however, as it will surely resurface at a later time. We must kick the UN out of America and withdraw from the organization.
There was a Tipping Point
The General Assembly was invited to a personal screening of The Dark Knight.
Since the UN is in NYC...and Mayor Bloomberg has suggested that the NYPD effect a slowdown to protest gun violence(he really did)..the Assembly read the writing on the wall.

My random thoughts on this and Auroa shooting
Just playing back and forth here
What if:
The treaty meant revealing details on things like Fast and Furious or in the past, Iran Contra;?
and/or
Private contractors or secret organisations involved with government agencies were at risk of exposure of supporting certain groups with gun smuggling in Syria and the Middle East (or elsewhere)?
and/or
as a way to deflect from the expectation that U.S., of all nations, would be expected to sign a treaty that would prevent sales of guns to terrorist groups (post 911 and "war on terror" Al-Qa'ida, et al)?
and/or
Auroa shooting was staged, or allowed with foreknowledge, in order to spark a reaction from 2nd amendment supporters and to their outcrys?
and/or
The U.S Govt. decides at the last minute not to participate in the treaty knowing that the UN wont have enough support to press the issue..at least not until after the election and likely longer, appeases 2nd amendment supporters and can be spun to the liberal wing that its all because of "those gun nuts"?
and/or
The gun control debate remains a domestic distraction thereby protecting secret Govt. activities?

Thank God...
.... there goes another.. there's also a less known one about disabilities that parents of disabled children and homeschoolers are mad about. Say it would give the UN control over parental rights and abortion issues.
But anyways.. I hope this treaty failing doesn't mean a bunch more shootings.
They'll never stop trying.

What?...
"I hope this treaty failing doesn't mean a bunch more shootings."
I'll remember your name. You certainly have no one fooled. Go back to the Democratic Underground.
If more responsible Americans carried weapons, these types of incidents would be much less successful. They would still occasionally happen, but at least unarmed people wouldn't be left defenseless until the police arrive minutes later.
Not sure but I took the comment as more false flag shootings
maybe he/she can clarify.

Me three.
Of course we are all a little on edge lately. At least, we should be.
