No Matter What Happens This Election, Michael Should Keep The Daily Paul Just As It Is

as it is a meeting place for us all. Keep the NAME of the site as it has a very good GOOGLE ranking.

The news I read here is the news I want to read...the kind of news that gets posted here is the kind I and like-minded people want to read.

The freedom to discuss topics is great....especially when you compare this site to so many others, which stop the discussions in progress, over-delete posts, and censor every other word.

What's wrong with having a site called the DailyPaul on into infinity? I think it is a good name as it puts us all on a sort of equal footing here...(with a few exceptions who want to stand out).

This is our gatheriing site. Maybe it can grow into more areas, but keep the name. Nothing wrong with that.

Please state your opinion about keeping the name in any post you make below.

Best 5 bucks I spend each month.

The DailyPaul is my cable TV and a twentieth the price. It's like having thousands of news channels rolled into one. If it's news, a PaulBot will find it and post it here in minutes. With thousands of 'reporters', it makes Drudge look like the slow-lane.

Would a Petition be too far fetched to try?

If not, all of us Daily Paul users that want it to stay like it WAS (Possibly original logo and UNfaded Dr. Paul picture, keep the same name, whatever we decide) could start a petition to petition Mr. Nystrom to keep it the same..

Keep the name.

The months ahead will help determine how many are dedicated to cultivating principles RP has espoused for so many years. A core will remain, of that I'm sure, but the real test of his message is by the numbers, and ultimately, the numbers will make the decision for the owner.

Undo what Wilson did

Daily Johnson?

No idea what will happen to the site, but the owner has been showing support for Johnson recently and discouraging a Ron Paul write in. It will be a sad day if this site changes it's name. People say that it isn't about the man it's about the message. Well, when you're running for president it's about the MAN, sorry Nystrom, not only the message. It's about the choosing the right man that I or anyone else can trust.

Recently the GJ shills have been saying that anyone who solely supports Ron Paul for president is part of a "cult". Well, forgive me if I'm not a rabid ideologue who supports any libertarian candidate just because they're part of the [L] party and says the word "liberty" over and over like a f*cking drone while his record and actions prove otherwise. I came here for Ron Paul and the issues he campaigned on, not to join the [L] party and support anyone they throw at us. this is the daily PAUL not the daily LIBERTARIAN. If thats what the owner wants this site to become then he might as well change it to "Daily Liberty" or "Daily Gary"

For the love of God

This BETTER not be changed to the Daily Johnson, or we are going to have some problems.

GJ Snake Oil Salesmen

Story: Snap-On salesman, has route, builds customer base. Other tool company offers a better deal, he dumps Snap-On, starts slithering around trying to steal their customers.

As with many other shops - the sneaky thieving weasel got yanked up by his tail and had a boot, with much force, propel him out of the door.

Weasel GJ and his slack-jawed, drooling toady cohorts are slithering through the Daily Paul door. We will be the ones - whether they are covert or overt - yank'em up and give'em the boot right back out of the door.

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. ~Thomas Jefferson

“It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie...the greatest enemy of the State.” ~Joseph Goebbels

It is VERY easy

For Johnson to get the Paul vote. Just pander a lot and and sing Ron Paul's praises and the simplistic ideologues who do no research on his positions or past comments will flock over immediately. That's why "Paulfest" should just rename itself to "JohnsonFest".

Michael say he was going to make any major changes? If so I agree with the others, the site has become a very informative resource. Some of the smartest people sifting through relevant news post here every day and it's a great educational experience. I'm always learning something new!

I agree

With the exception of the extra wide panel on the right

reduction of 50% needed to get it back the way it was.

November 6th 2012 I voted for Dr.Ron Paul
"We must remember, elections are short-term efforts. Revolutions are long-term projects." ~ Ron Paul

I agree

But if it would cause the website owner to lose money, I understand why he might change some things. For instance, I am a free user, as I cannot afford to buck up a few extra bucks.

The man Ron Paul has promoted a movement more consistant with constitutional principles than any others that have scared the establishment in the past 100 years, and though not single handedly, played a large role in bringing a school of economic thought that was in the process of being forgotten back to public attention. He has helped bring back to memory several long dead and forgotten figures such as Robert Taft.

This is not including the role he played in several other rougue movements(I suppose that is what the media would call it) such as the Reagan campaign in 1976 before that movement was hijacked, and endorsing the Buchanan bring the troops home movemement.

He is worthy of having a site named after him.

I can't agree more..Keep the Daily Paul AS IS. It has earned...

it's name recognition, call it "brand" cache/equity...the "go to" site for liberty minded folks to congregate, even beyond Ron Paul (or even Paul the Younger). This site is PART of Ron Paul's legacy...leave it as is.

Why tamper with success...it ain't broke.

The Daily (Ron) Paul LIVES in ALL OF US!!

Yes, especially when some "liberty"

related groups/sites out there have members with some rather unusual views on foreign policy, for one. Ron Paul's platform is CLEAR - nothing ambiguous about it. "Liberty" isn't a euphemism but means our liberties as defined by the Constitution.

"Unusual" views...GOOD. We'll pull them to our fold, make them..

"usual" and convert them in line with Ron Paul's.

Thank you, Jane

Quoted in this U.S.News & World Report article, our friend Jane here at the Daily Paul expressed exactly what I was talking about: Jane Aitken, founder of the Ron Paul-supporting New Hampshire Tea Party coalition, calls tea party groups supporting Romney "just GOP PACs" and "typical Republican neocons." That is, "unusual views on foreign policy" = "typical Republican neocons."

It's Ron Paul that brought us all here

And whatever our other differences, we are in agreement with his basic beliefs about government and liberty. Ron Paul said he's been talking about certain issues his whole life - within and without Congress - and that, no matter what, he plans to go on doing so. And so will we. I'd love for the site and name to stay as it is. (Well, preferably without new features tracking/analyzing our comments.)
