Change from the ground up: A call to action.

I have been educating myself over the last several years on all things politics, but I still have much to learn. Learning is a process ad-infinitum, but I may be ready to step into the formal arena, and start attending local Republican committee meetings.

I am going to observe the workings of the machine, and try to understand the beliefs of the people who hold positions of importance. I want to familiarize myself with the protocals, procedures, hierarchy, possible adversaries, and potential allies. I will not say much, at first anyway.

My goal is to attain a position of power, and how long it takes to achieve that goal is irrelevant. Time is on my side. I am young, healthy, and presentable, and I will not be dismissed. Liberty is a cause worthy of involvement.

I know many of you are well on your way to inserting yourselves into the machine, and I congratulate you on your successes, but to those of you who have not yet done so, then Revol, now is the time to finally throw your hat into the arena.

My local committee meets every Thursday @ 1930 at the local town hall here in Suffern, NY. It will be interesting to have a chance to expose the logical inconsistencies in their thinking.

Take back the republic

If you weren't already aware of it, please check out:

People have properly filed to run for Committeeman across NY State, but we are largely being shut out because of a corrupt power base in both major parties. Most committeeman positions in NY State (there are 16,400 of them) are vacant, and many of those that are filled have appointed -- NOT elected -- "town committeemen" or "members of the county committee." So we have filed a lawsuit against the NYS Board of Elections. We are being disenfranchised (not allowed to run), and the people are not truly being represented (appointed "committeemen" answerable to party leadership instead of elected committeemen answerable to the people).

I am in Dutchess County, and this is also my first foray into the political process. Some folks involved in this initiative are in Rockland County.

We have bi-weekly (sometimes weekly) online meetings.

Check us out! And I wish you great success in getting involved!

I'm going out for icecream with my fiance right now, but I look forward to returning, and looking at what information you've posted here. Thank you.

You're welcome.

The more liberty-minded people that get involved, both in the political process and in this particular initiative, the better.

A word of caution... there is a LOT of information on the http://newyorkcommitteemen.org website. Don't get scared away. It took me a few months to get a decent grasp of what this was all about, but I attribute that mostly to not having even heard of "Committeeman" before, so you may have an easier time of it. (^:

Interesting stuff I'm reading here.

I may want to get involved, but I need more time to soak this all in. I will be in touch when I'm done...

It's going to take a while to

It's going to take a while to look through, and digest, but I'll work my way into it. One small step at a time we'll push onward toward reclaimation. I appreciate it the groundwork that has been laid out before me. Again, thank you.

Big bump.

The more of us who take this route, the sooner we can take back our government.

Undo what Wilson did
