They Ask For Your Money, but Never Give You Any Good Reasons to Donate!

***************************************************************
Joseph --
The last thing we want is the Republican Party -- a party that’s been hijacked by an extremist fringe -- to win the White House and tighten its grip on Congress.
That would spell disaster for our economy and our environment.
Karl Rove and the ultra-conservative Koch brothers are pouring millions of dollars into this campaign. Democrats are depending on the individual support we get from people like you.
This deadline is so important that a group of Democrats have agreed to match your contribution 2-1, tripling your impact.
I am fully committed to doing everything I can to make sure we win a Democratic majority to partner with President Obama. I hope I can count on you. Please join me.

So I read this email and noticed it was missing a key element that most politicians miss unfortunately. This email asked me to give my money to a political party - who is also pouring millions of dollars into a campaign - because if the other political party takes over the white house, it will be disastrous for our economy and our environment.
I seen two issues brought up in this email: Economy and Environment(It's Gore duh!). There's possibly a third issue I found but it was not directly mentioned and actually this email is a result of it and that is campaign finance.
But anyways, let me focus on the first two. I was asked to give money and I would without question give money to a purpose that would address our economy or environment. Now I am not quite sure how Al Gore got my email address as I'm not the biggest fan of Democrats - nor Republicans for that matter - but he missed a golden opportunity to reach out to someone who's lost all confidence in political parties.
He could have addressed the issues and talked about what the problems are and why they happened and what plan of action the Democrats plan to take to turn things around. Purpose! That is purpose! Instead, we get a beggar asking for more money because the other guys got more of it. If these political parties where worth two cents to begin with they wouldn't need any money because their platform would bring people in and support would grow.
Ideas win, not money. Show me a plan that addresses our problems and if it meets my requirements, I don't care if it was proposed by a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, or aliens for that matter....I would support it.
