Do 3D Printers Make Prohibitions Impossible?

The creator, user HaveBlue from the AR-15 forum, has reportedly fired 200 rounds with his part-plastic pistol without any sign of wear and tear.

... are just begging to be regulated. Just wait until they get cheaper and more widely used; they'll be crippled by government-imposed software and material limitations "for public safety".
Not if they prohibit 3D printers!
