Ron Paul Supporters Will Make Gary Johnson the Next Ross Perot

Back in 1992, Ross Perot ran for President of the United States as an Independent candidate and received an astounding 18.9% of the popular vote. Even though he did not win any individual state in particular, he did in fact hold the highest vote count of any candidate in a few counties across the country like Trinity County, California.

Having spent an estimated $12.3 million of his own money on his presidential campaign, Perot received the highest vote total by any 3rd party candidate in recent memory in the U.S. -- since back in the days of Theodore Roosevelt. Now in 2012, granted he is not a billionaire who is spending millions of dollars on his own campaign, former Gov. Gary Johnson (R-NM) has a chance to be the "second coming of Ross Perot"...

Why don't you start the Daily

Why don't you start the Daily Johnson? I'm not buying what you and Gary are selling. Ron Paul or nothing at all. Nothing, short of Revolution is going to change this country. Voting for GJ is rejecting Ron Paul.

my friend

Why Dr. Paul invited GJ to speak at his Rally For The Republic 4 years ago?

I respect your opinion but I don't agree with you.

Voting for GJ will abolish the corrupt banksters funded two party system.

Gary Johnson was given near zero chance to become Governor of New Mexico...he will prove once again he can win by wining on Nov. 6th -- mark my words.

GJ is in direct competition

GJ is in direct competition for votes with Ron Paul. Is Paul out of the race for President? I have not heard that announcement.

it's all in the hands of delegates to the RNC

If Dr. gets the GOP nomination GJ will pull-out of the race.

I wish the options were...

Ron Paul or nothing at all.

Unfortunately, if it's not Ron Paul, it won't be nothing at all. It will be Romney, Obama, or Johnson.

It's as if you've all had sex with Don Juan, and now if Don won't give you anymore, you're done with sex altogether - abstinence forever.

If Ron Paul doesn't get the nomination in Tampa, your love and dedication for him has no way of increasing liberty for Our nation during this election - barring a RP endorsement of GJ which has been discounted by Benton earlier. You can abstain, metaphorically masturbate (write-in), or have decent, enjoyable sex with another.

Why does it hurt your feelings if Gary is talked about on the DP?

Your prepubescent

Your prepubescent masturbation metaphors aside... Who gets elected President beyond this point (other than Ron Paul) is totally irrelevant. It certainly won't be GJ under any circumstance. It could be Ron Paul — that has NOT been eliminated as a possibility yet.
What is relevant to my point is that this is the Daily Paul and we support Ron Paul here, not Gary Johnson.

Does that hurt my feelings? Not in the least. It does annoy my sensibilities and damages our movement to restore liberty.
GJ is not a liberty candidate. Period.

By the way...

I thought the masturbation metaphor was humorous while still conveying my message.

Well that's where we disagree...

Many people on this site do think Johnson is a liberty candidate. There's even a forum named liberty candidates. Hell, Rand Paul endorsed Mitt Romney, and he has his own forum. At least Johnson agrees with Ron Paul about Iran not being a threat.

The only real beef people have with GJ is the position he took on the Kony situation - which will be ultimately be handled by the locals anyway. The other issue that people have with Johnson is that he isn't an academic like Ron Paul.

Ron Paul spent half his life in school and the other half being a Congressman - have to throw author in there, as well. Johnson on the other hand spent his life building a construction firm applying free market ideas very successfully. That translated into his successful governorship in New Mexico where his free market sense paid off, also.

These are two different men. Both offer a better chance at economic prosperity and liberty than do Romney or Obama. How can that be denied?

You sound like someone from the Establishment telling a Paulite that Ron Paul can't win and really isn't for liberty.
