I'm starting to get upset at the mods and at the DailyPaul in general. Do I have a point or am I just being selfish?

I readily admit that I love the front page articles, especially the Oh Long Johnson cat one, but I must say, I do have a pretty big problem as well. How in God's green earth does a TALKING CAT get front page status when I have posted threads about state runoff and primary elections to inform people of who to vote for and when to vote for them and THEY don't get to the front page?!?!

I mean really! What exactly is the point of this site? Are the mods high?!?! Is Mr. Nystrom even aware of all the effort I've put in to try and discuss my suggestions on how to move forward with the DailyPaul after the November 6th election!?

Perhaps if I at least knew WHY, then it would be easier. Hell, I'm on this site enough that I could be a mod myself. Anyone second my nomination?

Here are the links that DIDN'T make it to the front page. Judge for yourself and let me know if I have a legitimate point or if it's me that has the problem. Thank you.

I used to get thank you

I used to get thank you emails after donating, but not this last time. Michael has all sorts of advertising on the site now. That must bring in a little bit of scratch.

Anyway, if someone has a problem, they should tell everyone about it as Janice is doing. I don't have the time to try to decipher what Micheal's or anybody else's problems may or may not be.

Resist the temptation to feed the trolls.

Why not start a new website.

If you have concerns about this one you can start a new one and let this one develop in the way the owner wants it to. The new one can follow the path you and your fellow originators determine to be the most helpful to the R3VOLution that Ron Paul has inspired.

I personally prefer the term Revolution to "Liberty Movement" since to me a movement has a collective ring to it. The R3VOLution started by Ron Paul supporters is the one for me that carries the weight of history and tradition and would be the best to carry on that tradition.

That would be a good URL to register and promote if you are serious about striking out on your own.

I agree with those who have registered admiration for you efforts. They have been above and beyond and have no doubt helped the R3VOLution immensely.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

I've thought of that and

I've thought of that and would entertain pursuing it, but I want to try and influence this site first. It already has the recognition, members and infrastructure. Plus, I kinda view the "just start your own site" as a first option like the saying "if you don't like it, leave." Well I don't like it, and I want to voice my opinion for change.

If anyone seriously wants to get together to create a "r3evolution" site, I'd be all for listening to suggestions.

Please confrim

you received the email I sent you through the dp.

I feel your pain. Over one month ago I left this comment in the

Sticky for Rules in the "Off Topic" section: I was asking Michael a question about this very problem.

In your statement above you said:

"The point of the Off Topic section is solely to keep the threads that are not in line with Ron Paul's message off the front page, not to limit or inhibit their discussion."

So I've got to ask: Why do topics such as this:

And this:

All three and many more I won't list, that were originally placed in either the "Liberty Forum" or "Current Events" or "Politics and Law", always seem to mysteriously end up in "Off Topic", when posts like this:

For some strange reason get to stay in the "Liberty Forum" which always shows up in the "Active Forum Topics" here >>>>>>>>>>>> so they are always visible.

I've never seen Ron Paul hammering away at "31 Ways to use Mason Jars in your Kitchen" in any of his articles/videos/speeches/testimonies, if you have, please accept my apologies and direct me to such an event, so I can come to understand why things like "31 Ways to use Mason Jars in your Kitchen" deserves to stay in the "Liberty Forum", and things like the above 3 posts are swiftly moved to "Off Topic".

With all due Respect.

It sure seems to me, that anytime anyone posts very relevant topics that inform-educate-alert others, that it quickly gets swept away to Off Topic.

There is definitely some shanannigan's going on behind the scenes here.

Here's an idea: I know DP is

Here's an idea: I know DP is tight on cash and I'm not suggesting to pay anyone, but how about appointing some volunteers as additional mods?

Your enthusiasm is great. No "buts" follow.

Not much is perfect. With everything, there are rules as well as executive decisions made that all members may not agree with. That is how things are. Posting stories may not get the exposure or recognition that you desire. All that I can say is to keep trying and not get discouraged if things don't go the way that you would like.

true, but the stoic approach

true, but the stoic approach may be easier if I actually had some kind of response to my questions. Agree or disagree, I feel that I would rather understand and so far it's been me talking to a wall. I get the part that this is Mr. Nystrom's creation and he can do with it what he wants, but it should be noted that whenever you create something that captures the heart, there will be certain expectations. I guess that when I ask a question, I expect a response. It's not a matter of agree or disagree in regards to my issue, it's a matter of having a response either way.

Frankly, my dear,

we who are still working and hoping for an upset in Tampa have become Scarlett O'Hara and the mods who are working and hoping to generate a new batch of liberty seekers have become Rhett Butler. Frankly, my dear they don't give a damn where we go or what we do.

It's so sad that you may be

It's so sad that you may be right. I want so much to be a part of this site and pick up the slack, but no one with any leverage is hearing my plea. You have to be blind and deaf not to notice people trying to help.

Maybe the future of the DP is

Maybe the future of the DP is as a website with multiple owners. Changes are made by committee. I for one would love to buy into the DailyPaul to be a part owner. There's a good chance it will turn a profit, but I'm really not worried about that. I want to be a part of the liberty effort. I think a lot of Paul people would be more than happy to take the load off of Mr. Nystrom's shoulders.

I appreciate all your efforts

I appreciate all your efforts Janice. I've noticed your work. More people should work as hard as you do.

I can't speak for Michael Nystrom but your suggestion that a committee decide what course Daily Paul takes is presumptuous in my humble opinion. I think this thread should be in Off Topics. I don't see how it helps to have this on the front page. There's been enough bitterness and infighting. After a while it wears a person out.

perhaps you misread. I never

perhaps you misread. I never said that THIS thread be on the front page. I am referring to OTHER threads that I feel should have made the front page. More worthy than a cat.

When you post something under

When you post something under the Off Topic category it's my understanding that the post goes off the front page and one can only view it on "Off Topics." I may be off base. Moderators, correct me if I'm wrong.

You posted this under DP Member News. I believe the Off Topic category was created for topics that make Daily Paul look bad to the casual viewer. To me your topic is whining. Don't feel lonely. There's been lots of whining lately. But after all. You yourself asked if you were being selfish. ;-)

Anyway. Keep up the other good work. I appreciate it.

fair enough

I also have issues with the Moderators of the DP

I have had titles of my posts changed by Moderators who didn't agree with what I was saying and after I would go in and change the titles back, the moderator would come in behind me, change my title to what they wanted and then take away the EDIT function so I couldn't change it back.

Very Draconian in my opinion. Very NON-Ron Paul of them.....

Sent from Ty's Super Secret Lair.

Yeah that's happened to me as

Yeah that's happened to me as well.

I know Michael will just say "The Daily Paul is a priveledge not a right" but there's something ironic about how we all support a man who advocates freedom of all kinds, including speech, when we are being censored at the number 1 fan site for that same man.

End the Fed. End the Wars. Problems Solved. Ron Paul.

RIGHT NOW in the "Active

RIGHT NOW in the "Active Forum Topics" section 4 titles are about Gary Johnson. Give me a f****** break!

Didn't Mr. Nystrom post

Didn't Mr. Nystrom post something about how the DailyPaul is losing visitors? HELLO! Someone trying to help here! Anyone listening? Echo... echo...

Well yeah. He and others

Well yeah. He and others declared it was over and they packed up, faded the RP photo and went home. A lot of folks must have done the same thing and gave up before the convention, which I find very peculiar.

Resist the temptation to feed the trolls.

Hey, if they don't want the

Hey, if they don't want the site anymore, give it to me. I'll take it over.

Good idea. Maybe Michael is

Good idea. Maybe Michael is burned out and ready for a change.

Resist the temptation to feed the trolls.

He could always offer it as a

He could always offer it as a privately traded company. Offer part ownership/stock/executive committee with voting rights. I'm not worried about turning a profit personally, I want to be involved in the cause of liberty.

The dailypaul is already gone

We left it to the Johnson/Obama/Romney people, rate me down all you want, you know except for maybe 10-20 people who still check these boards because of Ron Paul, all the rest are supporters of someone else, these boards went downhill long ago.

I check these boards for news now, real news, not the GJ garbage that keeps coming up, for or against him.

Many RP posts constantly have negative votes now, completely questioning, in comments, why we still support Ron Paul. So heres your answer.

We arent sellouts. You GJ people, you Romney people, and you Obama people can all go vote for your "lesser of evil." I dont care if i go down fighting, im voting for someone worthy of being president for once.

You said it

You have 20+ votes too..I guess many others feel the same. Isn't it sad that the number one site for Ron Paul from the start, The same site where not long ago would have ripped you a new anus if you even mentioned Ron had a wrinkle in his suit. That same site has pretty much turned their back on Ron before the he even called it quits. How honorable and principled lol..I'm already laughing thinking that when its name is changed to the "Daily Johnson" and someone does a search for it, It will come up on the same page with a bunch of porn. Nothing personal against Michael but maybe it would be best to start a fresh new site. I'm sure that even if Ron doesn't get the Nomination he is going to continue to spread the message and promote the cause of Liberty. Until he takes his last breath, I will still frequent whatever site is dedicated to his legacy. I'm still in it to win it. I guess there should be a search to see what site out there feels the same way.

got my vote

listen up get it on

LOve the R3volution

I even suggested that there

I even suggested that there be a running ticker at the top of the DailyPaul with the names of liberty candidates and when to vote for them so people would be informed at all times, but that suggestion has been completely ignored! I can handle an answer of NO, but I'm not even getting a response.

That's a great suggestion! It

That's a great suggestion! It could be its own heading or menu item or something like that so it's easily accessible at all times.

yea, I feel I have good

yea, I feel I have good ideas, but no one is even entertaining them. You can say no, not now, or perhaps and I can live with that. It's the fact that this "community" is run without it's mayor and as a citizen, I am asking to be heard
