If they Prevent Paul Nomination, Delegates should Walk Out En Mass

I think for many people all we want is a vote. A fair shake by the system. Let us stand up and be counted. And that means not nelly hen pecking our delegates, disqualifying them, failing to recognize them, or otherwise.

So the first issue and I think this is important, is that all Ron Paul delegates, including those QUESTIONED by the GOP minions such as the Mass and Louisiana delegates, all arrive en mass and enter en mass. Because united they will have a much harder time rejecting delegates, one by one they will pick us off like a Louisiana farmer gator huntin.

When the process to nominate occurs if they block our fair fight to nominate Paul and our fair fight to VOTE or get the convention to a fair vote, it's time to walk out en mass. A chant should go up "walk out walk out" and then all Paul supporters leave.

What about staying to influence the party platform. What about staying for all the meetings and backroom dealings? Give me a break. If you aren't even in the power window to get Paul into a vote you won't be able to do anything else either.

I think this follows the "be respectful" request of Paul and there is no reason any of this has to be done in a violent or disrespectful way. In fact the truth is the opposite, we will have been disrespected.

If they Prevent Paul Nomination,

Our Founding Fathers would have never backed down

If they Prevent Paul Nomination,

Every one has worked to hard to just give up and walk away, that's insane!! Stand your ground and fight. You mean to tell me after all the effort and hard work that has been done EVERYONE SHOULD JUST GIVE UP?? Something is definitely wrong with that picture! What is wrong with you people?? I mean seriously.Just don't give up the fight Keep fighting the good fight.Stand with Ron Paul as promised.

Stand and Abstain

Face the stage. Remain firmly, and if only Romney's name is placed in nomination, DO NOT VOTE. Deny him a majority. If the convention chair attempts to railroad a nomination "by acclamation", then vote "NO!" That's all, just "no", louder than the "ayes" so that there is no possible misinterpretation. It will be obvious to the global audience that Slick Willard is a prop and that the RNC has no intention of denying Obama his second term.

Then... I guess, hope that the rumors of Gary Johnson's stepping down from the top of the LP ticket are true and that The Good Doctor is willing to carry on for a few more months (or the next eight years.) Then what? "Corrupt bargain" might be The Iron Man for Veep nominee, Judge Gray as AG designee, and Judge Nap as Chief of Staff designee until opening on SCotuS.

Are you crazy??

You have fought all year to get into the Convention and now you want us to walk out?

F$%& That.

If you are being completely ignored, Start making some noise for the world to Hear.

Start chanting, President Paul President Paul, Better yet, END THE FED, END THE FED.

Let the world know what our main goal is, To end the fed and live in freedom with a free currency.

This needs to be the Shot heard across the World! Make it So!!!

Better idea

Stay and follow through instead We all have a vested interest in the future and walking out on our responsibility when faced with opposition. Sounds like an adolescent reponse

During early all the caucuses and conventions around the nation, the establishment GOP geezer/scumbags tried cheating, lying and bullying to steal those meeting and shut out the idea of liberty. When we screamed out "POINT OF ORDER!!" we were shouted down, and in some instances the gustapo were called in to quash our voices.
What makes you all think that these behaviors will end? Just because it's on live TV? NO WAY!! The establishment will not stop...and neither should we!!
It should be obvious by now that our tactics haven't been as effective as they could be...playing by Robert's Rules and being above-board just isn't gonna win this war. And a war it is!! We are fighting to retain the little bit of America that remains...and with a bit of devine providence we just may be able to restore some of it...but never forget that this is war. War is ugly. War is brutal. If it's a fair fight, your tactics suck! War is to be won, no matter HOW you do it!!
The absolute ANGER AND OUTRAGE that I have built up inside for the "status quo" that has been railroading our political process throughout this cycle has me hoping and chearing for chaos and anarchy at Tampa. If we can't win this using fair and honest tactics, then by God, we need to pull out the stops and take our freakin' country back by force. In the words of Alice Cooper: NO MORE MR. NICE GUY!!!!

I know you are a good and solid supporter bc.

But you must know by this time there is no way violence against the Establishment can work. Look how the violent Black Block was used to destroy Occupy.

Our appeal is and always has been that we take the High Road of peace and respect and good will. We need not use the tactics of those who have no ethics.

The media will twist any slight deviation from our principles to brand the r3VOLution as dangerous, scary terrorists who need to be curbed by the police. Help keep our people safe, that is a priority.

If we do lost in Tampa, we will live to fight another day with greater numbers and more educated creativity.

I understand...

I only fear that should we play by the rules and lose in Tampa, that there won't be another day to fight...I dread that this is it; now or never, as in just 2 years or less you won't recognize Amerika.
Perhaps I'm overly-paranoid, but I have seen the sequence of events accellerate over the past years. Our masters are growing impatient...only a Liberty victory can break the chain of events to come.
I am very frightened for our future and feel that it's do-or-die. I am NOT a good loser.

"We must remember, elections are short-term efforts. Revolutions are long-term projects." ~ Ron Paul

I don't believe that you are overly paranoid.

The acceleration you have seen is a fact noted by anyone with eyes to see.
Don't allow yourself to believe that being realistic is the same as being paranoid. I know it's tough to do in a culture which puts an emphasis on being "optimistic", but trust yourself on this one. The Pollyannas are going to be rudely awakened when the "Change" they get is nothing like the "Change" they were hoping for.
Stay passionate! And human.

The opposite

Walk out?

After all of this? EFF YOU.

They will have to DRAG US OUT.

He also said don't let them push us around. If they violate rule

we should stand on our rights and push for enforcement on the international stage. Respectfully, but firmly.

But it is the delegates there who actually decide.

Integrity means having to say things that people don't want to hear & especially to say things that the regime doesnt want to hear -RonPaul

Ron Paul has made that PERFECTLY clear. Yes, it IS the delegates who ultimately decide. It is NOT the msm or ptb.

Yeah and forget about....

any platform business you may be able to accomplish.

Stand up - Show your numbers - Whatever - But, don't walk out.

That would accomplish nothing. It's exactly what the Establishment would want - make the Paul delegates appear to be whiny. The MSM would pick it up, spin it, and try to make us all look like tools. Then, the GOP Establishment would go about business as usual for the rest of the convention.

Credentials would likely be forfeited upon the mass exit, and Establishment alternates would replace you.

2008 DNC

The Hillary delegates were planning to do the same thing at their convention in 2008. What happened instead was that they put her on the ballot- then during the roll call of the states, several delegations yielded their place in the order until NY came up, then Hillary herself motioned to suspend the rules and nominate Obama by acclamation. Some of her delegates left the floor, but nowhere near the numbers that would make it noticeable.

This brings up a rather disheartening point:

If RP is on the ballot, there is not a lot stopping them from ordering the roll call so that they do all the romney-heavy states first, until romney gets 1144 votes. There will be much fanfare, then the media would cut away for commentary while the rest of the states enter their votes.

Finally, a response to the RNC's Bully Tactics

I didn't get to go to to Tampa for this one. My Precinct Delegate election is next week and I'm unopposed as a Republican. If I were in Tampa I would walk out to protest the Romney and RNC chicanery.

Whatever the outcome in the convention it is when the delegates get back home that the real work begins. The libertarian/Republicans will have a lot to do to consolidate the gains made thus far. Perhaps the Tea Party would be willing to find common ground to work on. Agreeing to host a constitutionalist caucus would be a good start. Don't look to the conservatives to partner up. They're too busy finding ways to continue the war in the Middle East..........and beyond!

It only takes one to KEEP AMERICANS FREE. Know your duties & rights as a juror. Stop the unconstitutional conviction of innocents in federal custody. The Fully Informed Jury CALL 1-800-TEL-JURY www.fija.org IMMEDIATELY if not sooner. It's that important.

Learn from past mistakes.

In 2008, 1 single person shouted Ron Pauls name. Though clearly audible to all at the convention, John Boehner ignored that shout and continued on.

Do not leave. Do not cause trouble. But LEARN from that and other mistakes and make our presence known. It is our right. It is our duty. This is the last chance that our country has.

United we stand. Divided we fall.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Walking out is the last thing

Walking out is the last thing that should be done.

The Platform is done by the time of the convention.

We meet on Aug 20 & 21. Walk out? They'll just fill the empty seats with all the guests & alternates. That's a waste of time. The best thing to do is to have a plan for when we rise & turn our backs to Romney when he speaks. I have a loud voice & plan on doing some effective hollering until they drag me out.

BTW, had a delegate conference call with the campaign last night, and they think it's impossible and that we'll never have the numbers, even if the 9th Circuit unbinds us. That kind of talk made our delegation furious. We are all hoping for unbinding, Romney losing his numbers and a free for all for delegate votes. Hope that scenario unfolds, hope, hope....

Don't walk out...it would

Don't walk out...it would look HORRIBLE on television, and if Romney loses the election to Obama, the MSM will blame, "all of those Ron Paul supporters," for making Romney look weak.

Do not give them such an opportunity...but I sympathize with your sentiments, PLUS you bring up a GREAT IDEA by saying how the Ron Paul delegates should arrive and enter, "EN MASS." I think that is a brilliant idea.

On the surface of the idea, yes, I agree...walk out. Enough. Done. Leave. But then again, you have to think politically, not rationally!

The better thing to do is REMAIN, BUT SILENT. Don't leave, because the GOP wants nothing more than that. Stay, remain silent, and ride it out. You never know what can happen....it ain't over 'till it's over.

No matter what happens, go 100% to the end.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Stay and turn your back to the stage

leave and you are ignored.

I think thats childish

The press would have a field day with that. Look a tthe sore loser babies. Walking out en-mass shows our numbers. It give

Not really the style of Ron Paul delegates. We were the last ones still at our state convention at the end of the day. If I was a national delegate I would probably stay until they shut the building down.

Can you explain what would be accomplished

Say they do block the LA and MA delegates

There is no nomination vote

It's a non stop cheer for Romney

Not even the numbers to influence the party platform

Whats the point? I don't get it. To Hob Knob and feel big like you are poart of a corrupt system?

BMWJIM's picture

To block the LA delegation would be the single

biggest mistake the party could make. R.Villere would pay with every coonass pissing on his grave. It is NOT going to Happen. The local Polls that wanted to get there want to be re-elected worse. They would piss on Villere faster than the everyday Republican Joe. LoL!

They already know Jindal will screw them to their knees. Hell he has screwed the citizens of Louisiana already for his ambitions. They are just too stupid to know it. The LAGOP is going to die a horrible death if the rule of law is not upheld. I predict it will not last 2 years after this BS!

This is just from what I heard down on the Bayou chere'. T'John say's he done set the pol's up and dey don forgot the smell of bait.

The establishment would LOVE

The establishment would LOVE for RP supporters to walk out....whos side are you on anyway?

"Mommy, why is the arena half

"Mommy, why is the arena half empty?"

"Because nobody really likes Mitt Romney, honey."

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

I respectfully disagree

Leaving isn't the answer. You need to stay in the system and be a thorn in their side. To many people have the idea that when you get frustrated with the system then you should just leave but all that does is allow some opponent to take your spot. This seems to be happening more and more over the last few years or more. We can't win if we give up and let the opposition fill that vacuum.

Stay, complain, educate. Speak out! You've got to speak out against the madness, speak your mind if you dare.
