Some Advice for Our Young Friends in Ron Paul and Liberty

Hello young person,

If you are experiencing a feeling like one of those dreams where you are falling backwards it is because you have stumbled into a rabbit hole that goes to China and back by way of Boise. You see, earlier today a different you decided to pop the red pill and now this you gets to live with that decision. Your Pineal Gland is opening which is why people look at you like you have an eyeball in the middle of your forehead every time you talk.

In short, things will never be the same for you.

Money from thin air, government gun and drug running, privately owned "federal" reserves. Wanna know the best way to deal with all this mind-blowing stuff?

So would we.

Bookmark this post for the best advice from all the old-timers (and not-yet-middle-agers) on just how to cope with all this baloney spit and function to a reasonable extent in the 'real' world.

Tip #1: Forgive those around you who refuse to hear the truth.

They had their opportunity when they were younger and they chose the blue pill. As when any large decision is made, the ego gets heavily invested. You may notice your own ego fading as you learn about the greater world. The opposite applies for those with closed minds - their egos are reinforced with every denial of reality, and therefore any contrary view of the world is considered a direct attack on the ego, and simply cannot be tolerated. Forgive them for this and forgive yourself for the fact that you will never be able to get through to them so your efforts would be better invested elsewhere.

Tip #2: Forgive Those Who Know What They Do

Once we've forgiven those around us for being in their voluntary trances, we must forgive, or try to learn to forgive those who visit evils upon their fellow men with their various forms of tyranny.

For those who will not, can not forgive the globalists, the new world orderers, the illuminists, consider that the alternative, to hate them, does not hurt them. Hatred hurts only the hater giving the hated person a double victory. Don't give them the easy victory of your hatred.

Tip #3: Forgive us Our Infighting, as We Forgive Those Who Infight Amongst Us

The truth may be absolute but individual viewpoints are infinite. We will never agree on everything, we awake people, but we agree on the important things.

Tip #4: Be Thankful to Live in Interesting Times

Interplanetary exploration. Instantaneous global communication. Carbon nanotubes. Damn. If this stuff had been around in the '90s I might have paid more attention in school.

PATIENCE

Awesome post. As a person who has opened the eyes of many, the #1 virtue I can emphasize is PATIENCE.

I've always thought that if I had 30 seconds with Dr. Paul I'd ask him "how the hell did you not become exasperated and frustrated and give up after the first 15 years?"

Few people wake up immediately. You have the passion and knowledge and try to give them a full brain dump of everything you've learned in 5 minutes. But this rarely works. The human mind is resistant to massive, radical change and takes time to accept things.

Most people require gradual exposure over a period of time to open their eyes. As Cipher said in The Matrix, "ignorance is bliss."

So don't get exasperated, and know there are many of us out there going through what you are. Above all, be patient and kind.

And Christians, it should be easy to fall back on your faith here -- those virtues are the foundation of God's love.

Matrix is useful

Most people have seen it, so it can serve as a pretty good introduction (or "shared common background"), something like "I'm about to blow your mind. You will reject it at first, but if you study this enough you will see that it is exactly as I am about to describe. Think of it like taking the red pill in the Matrix: it will be rather uncomfortable at first but you will awaken with a completely new and whole understanding of who you are and where you fit into this world, and what this world is and how it differs significantly from what you thought it was."

I never use that type of language when talking to people, I just typed that off-the-cuff, but it pretty much sums up what I want to say, even if I don't say it.

Oh, and Toastmaster's is a great place to hone your speaking skills. And meet others who like to hone their skills (i.e., a good place to meet self-determined people, although not everyone is of course).

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

Semi young here too (28)

Thanks for bringing up this subject. This is something I have dealt with as I'm sure most of us have, and its a breath of fresh air to hear others talk about it.

It's posts like this that make the DailyPaul more than just another Paul news feed.

More than..just a feed

more than just a feed indeed.

I'm one of the young you speak of,

And these are some awesome pieces of advice! Thank you, Chris! :)

And also, here's another tip (that took me a long time to learn): Dont get too emotionally entrenched in everything bad going on in this world, because, well, it's just too much. If you do, you'll just be miserable all the time, and life is way too short to be miserable. Yes, you have every reason to be concerned, but remember, you cant right all the wrongs in this world by yourself, and there ARE people who truly care and are trying to do something to help this world. Find some good people to confide in and share your deepest feelings with.

Think on the bright side: people ARE waking up, Ron Paul IS getting ahead despite the MSM blackout of him, and you yourself probably have a lot of good things in your life, and good projects to get started on. For me, it's self-education - I want to learn to sing as part of a choir, play the piano, speak Japanese (and Chinese!), and I basically want to live life to the fullest. I also have my family. They may not be awake, but I dont care, no one's perfect. Live life to the fullest because you'll never know when it will end. And if you can, prepare yourself for these uncertain times, however you can. There are good tips for prepping on a short budget if need be.

YOU speak the truth

and YOU are the reason the system is scared.

Thank you for your words, thank you for speaking out.

Wow. Thanks Im 21

I needed to hear this right now. My parents have frustrated me lately. My dad says if Ron Paul were running I would vote for him, but hes just unelectable....

And what took the cake yesterday is that he thought when Bachmann endorsed Dianne Black that was a Tea Party endorsement. I wanted to yell at him, but I know he just doesnt care about politics too much anyway--he just hates taxes, but thats just the tip of the iceberg.

My friends make fun of my love for Ron Paul and use it against me sometimes, Girls think I am too smart for them and avoid talking to me. while other males claim socialism is a good thing, and its tough to explain 50 years of history during a night of drunk debauchery when nobody cares how serious you are.

Im playing it cool in college now, but man when I get out of here, this website, and the people i meet through the Ron Paul movement will be my future.

The cool chicks dig liberty

Don't sweat the girls who think you're too smart; try to help them with your intelligence, and they may come around. Even if not, they may introduce you to a smart friend. The key is to send good out into the world; it will come back. Read "The Diamond Cutter", an excellent book about a man who applied Buddhist principles to the diamond trade.

Be strong in your convictions. Your friends may mock you -- and from this, you learn who your true friends are. (I.e., a true friend will want to learn from you, even if they disagree or are unaware of what you know. For instance, energy healing is real but some of the people I associate with reject it. Doesn't make them bad people, just misinformed, but it helps me understand which types of conversations to start and avoid.)

My father refused to read "End the Fed" when I offered it to him. Too bad, but since then he has learned some things about Monsanto and fluoride that have started him asking questions.

And that's the best advice for educating someone: just ask them questions. When they give the "establishment answer," politely show them that there are other answers to these questions -- answers which promote more freedom, and provide more efficient solutions. If these answers exist, why aren't we following them to a better society? For what reasons are things the way they are? Once you get the meta part down, discussing the specifics becomes easier.

And I agree with your final paragraph; friends in Liberty are the best, because they truly understand what it means to be a friend.

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

Nice!

And don't worry about the girls thinking you are too smart. I hung out with the most beautiful girl the other night who was super impressed with me being a Ron Paul delegate.... and my dancing skills.

Thank you.

Beautiful post

Thanks for that.

Thank

You.

This is the best thing I've read on this forum

Chris, you knocked this one out of the park. This sums up my feelings perfectly. The Blue pill sheeple won't understand it, but all the Red pill people get it. I always use the Morpheus quote as a caution when I recommend "The Obama Deception" to someone.

"You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes." -Morpheus

Good advice

I learned it the hard way.

The truth is like light. It

The truth is like light. It reveals what is hidden in darkness. Often crimes are committed in darkness and secrecy because we are afraid our evil deeds will be revealed. Also, the truth is very deep and penetrates all the way to the heart so very complex emotions and beliefs and passions are awakened in our innermost being as we seek it. Although somewhat painful to learn the truth, it is the truth that sets you free.

Time to INVESTIGATE the investigators of 9/11. PROSECUTE the prosecutors. EXPOSE the cover-up.

One old timer weighing in:

First, nice post Chris.

Your tip # 1 is good advice for keeping sane and loving. The r3VOLution is ALL about loving and honoring each individual. That doesn't mean we cannot be angry. We have good reason to be.

I simply means that all who fully advocate Liberty also embrace the diversity of expression that comes with it, so long as it is peaceable. And we find in history the vast majority of humanity living lives of peace, producing, cooperating, trading voluntarily, nurturing the young, tending the old and infirm.

But through history those who would exploit others find devious ways to influence them. We are in a time of deception of the majority by an elite and abusive minority. I believe most people can be reached, with a variety of means. We must be creative enough to find the words and images and facts and logic needed to educate those around us and find the skills to reach out to and communicate effectively to those beyond our immediate communities.

Point all toward the Nonaggression Principle. It is simple, it is clean, it is clear and pure and it fits all questions and resolves all disputes. Not saying it is always easy to communicate, but if you study and build your own understanding, you will find it is a strong guide.

Thanks for informing Tip #2

(You're reeding my mind man.)

which is why it is important

to teach the youth that authority can be wrong.

make sure to instill that at a young age.

it's not too late to teach an old dog new tricks, but obviously easiest if they are able to find out the truth on their own when they are younger.
