Paul Not Given Role at Republican Convention

Examiner: In a political move that defies logic, CNN is reporting that presidential challenger Ron Paul has not been asked to speak at the Republican National Convention in Tampa. Instead, the Romney team has invited Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley. Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, Ohio Governor John Kasich, Arizona Senator John McCain and Florida Governor Rick Scott will also have prime time speaking roles.

'Obama Will Win, and It's RON PAUL'S FAULT!!! '
This will be the mantra when Romney loses (as he is meant to.) Just watch the GOP and media blame Ron Paul and supporters. Language warning, but this guy tells it like it is:
Obama Will Win, and It's RON PAUL'S FAULT!!!

Fed up...
If Paul doesnt speak Im voting for Obama. Fcuk Mitt, the GOP and the RNC.
After working for Dr. Paul for 5 yrs and witnessing the corruption of the party and media.. I say fcuk all of them. They degrade, spin and lie about us. They dont want our vote.
I wrote in the Doc last time. This time im voting out of pure anger at the establishment.
'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul
DNC/RNC
Both the DNC and RNC are the same beast. You voting for Obama is playing right into their hands. The power players transcend party boundaries.
NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.
They count them in my state
and it does feel good.
so yeah. I'll be writing Ron Paul in.
that's not what the article says
The article isn't about Ron Paul at all. It doesn't say that he and Rand have zero chance of speaking. It says that 7 of the speakers have been officially announced, and names the 7. He doesn't happen to be on that list. In 2008 there were around 25 speakers total. He may or may not speak. My guess is that he won't and that Rand will. But this article today doesn't at all say that they are both shut out. Other people that are shut out by this logic: Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Marco Rubio, Paul Ryan, Chris Christie, Tim Pawlenty, and Bobby Jindal. But everyone knows that at least some on this list will speak.
IMO
Rand has been garnering delegates and was not in the race at all.
He IS NOT an acceptable substitute.
what do you mean he has been garnering delegates?
The fact that Rand has endorsed Romney gives him a huge advantage over Ron in the quest to get a speaking role. It is just not common at all to let someone speak at a convention if they are not endorsing the nominee.
Back stabbed....
I recall Paul saying he likes Romney privately. It's obviously not mutual.
Why not bring in Cheney and W too
Maybe Larry Silverstein and Gouliani could talk about 9/11, and the war drums could beat continuously in the background while they all pump each other up. Sick bastards.
W wasn't even at the last one...
why would he show up to this one?
Romney as nominee defies logic.
Romney is way too far outside the box to touch base with anything real that actually makes sense.
Correlation does not prove causality!
Another "Feather" in the GOP's Cap
..and listening to John B Wells' Radio program he had Howard Kuntsler of "the Long Emergency" notariety on air.
Kuntsler's new book relates to "magical thinking" especially addressing the view that "all will be well" is the mindset of many in this country...are they in for a rude awakening!
There was a previously posted article detailing how Mittens should extend the "olive branch" to the Paulestinans if he truly wants to win....question is:
DOES HE?
Kuntsler remarked about the "Whigs" who ran this country in the 1850's and draws an analogy to today and then.
We need a sign-Bomb re: Mitten's Off-Shore on every freeway.
Another question: Would it matter?..Does anyone care anymore?

who are these THINGs/people
They are not my GOP!!!
Time to kick them, the hell out!!! NOW
Every man, wherever he goes, is encompassed by a cloud of comforting convictions,
which move with him like flies on a summer day.

Opened my eyes! They count on us being Dumbasses.
And more Fuel for the Fire has been added.
This is only going to wake up a whole bunch more to the corruption that is drowning the GOP. R3VOLUTION will be the word of the day.
Cannabis Hemp Oil CURES DISEASE
I guess we will have to put his name into nomination
then they will have to allow him to speak for 15 minutes. The wen will have to vote for RP to be the nominee, thus creating a news media frenzy! Go National Delegates.......
Fine.
Can't wait until Willard loses by the biggest landslide margin in years.
I don't play, I commission the league.
And neither can the establishment Republicans
I hate to brake it to you, but that is the Republicans plan. The Republicans are "serving into the net", just like the Olympic badminton players did. The delegates need to wake up and nominate Ron Paul if they want to win this election.
It appears that
the RNC is no friend to liberty.
Let us do all we can however to see Dr. Paul succeed in Tampa, and justly for the cause beyond
And so it continues. All I can say is...
WE'LL REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER.
WRITE-IN RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT 2012 to RESTORE AMERICA NOW.
Because Romney sure isn't going to do it, even if he did win.
Which he won't without us, who he continues to ignore and dismiss.
Time for the GOP and RNC TO PAY.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul
I agree with Grover Norquist,
I agree with Grover Norquist, who wrote in the British Guardian, “Ron Paul is the only candidate for the Republican nomination whose endorsement will matter to Mitt Romney. It is the only endorsement that will bring votes and the only endorsement, if withheld, that could cost Romney the general election.”

If you really want to be
If you really want to be ignored and dismissed, stick to your futile write in strategy for a candidate who shows no interest in running in November.
Ignore me
Dismiss me. Then stick your neocon agenda up your ass.
Up my ass?! You're quite a
Up my ass?! You're quite a grumpy old man, aren't you?
If I'm going to waste my vote on Romney (who is essentially...
...no different than Bush or Obama), then I'm damned well going to waste it on the only PRINCIPLED man I can think of.
I'm writing in Ron Paul because to vote for the establishment hack after spending all this time, effort and money promoting Dr. Paul makes no sense at all.
"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."

Again, it may feel good but
Again, it may feel good but it will be ingored. I have been very critical of GJ but he has been saying the write things lately. If he gets even five percent, it will send a powerful message to the warmongers in the GOP establishment. A write in (which probably won't be counted) will send no message at all.
never a wasted vote
a vote for principle is never a wasted vote.
"No message at all"
Statistically that is untrue if an individual participates in the electoral process.
Similar to others' statements also, I intend to write in Dr. Paul's name as an expression of what ideals I believe are most valid
If I voted for the person, I
If I voted for the person, I think has the "most valid" set of ideas, I'd vote for myself. Based on that ideal standard, it couldn't be Ron who, IMHO, is wrong on some issues including immigration and abortion. If you agree with him 100 percent, however, we are in different categories. Ron is the best presidential candidate in American history but he is not an absolutely perfect reflection of my views.
In this election, I will vote for that candidate who comes closest to my views. I'd vote for Ron if he was running in November but he will NOT be by all indications. Hence, I will vote for another imperfect candidate, probably Johnson, who is running.
"If I voted for the person, I think has the "most valid" set..
..of ideas, I'd vote for myself"
I agree with the premise of your argument in that the solution to modern governance includes a volitional model

where public agency is endowed by individual choice while mandates like taxation are abolished.
Until that political revolution succeeds, good luck.

better get over to the Daily Johnson then! You love him up the ass, right? Haha!
