One of the main reasons to vote for Ron Paul is his posision on these stupid wars.

In 1967 during the 6 day war Israel attacked our ship the USS Liberty, killing 34 crew members (naval officers, seamen, two Marines, and one civilian), wounded 170 crew members. They severely damaged the ship. The ship was in international waters north of the Sinai Peninsula. Israel has yet to be held accountable. Iraq or Iran has NEVER attacked a US ship. So my question is .... why are we attacking these countries? For me it defies all logic.

No more money or troops to fight Israel's wars. They are the only ones in the region who have nuclear weapons and can fight their own wars!

None of us have ever had any illusions that the brain dead, status quo republicans were going to ever change. They were never going to allow our influence. But that's the thing about politics. Power is never surrendered. It is taken.

So the only way to get rid of these miscreants was to overwhelm them with numbers and energy, and in Nevada, we have done so.

Essentially, we have replaced them with ourselves. Why the director of the Paul campaign in Nevada is now Vice Chair of the Clark County Republican Party.

It doesn't matter what the GOP does without us because they LOSE without us, and it's going to be pretty simple to explain to grassroots republicans why and how this happened.

So the republican party, whether it likes it or not, begins it's journey to being the advocate for liberty it was meant to be. How long before dissaffected democrats start to join us?

There are way more Americans who believe in liberty than believe in being pigs at the war trough. I bet some of them even work for Halliburton and Monsantio!

Oh, and the convention hasn't even started yet, never mind being over.

Ron Paul hasn't failed. He has laid the foundations for a movement that will reclaim America's heritage of republican, constitutional government with its attendant freedoms. The Ron Paul revolution will do FOR America the opposite of what the left did TO America beginning in the 1960s. Unfortunately, we will have to wait for the next election cycle for our power to be felt in the presidential primaries.

Regardless of who is president after November, without a Ron Paul miracle in Tampa, the Establishment still wins and the spending of the welfare/warfare state will continue. That may be slowed down with the next Congress depending on how many Paulite's and Tea Partier's are elected to the House and Senate. I'm not holding my breath. The Romney/Obama speeding train simile of 90MPH versus 100 MPH careening toward the collapsed bridge expresses what I see as being the case after November.

The real shift in Republican politics has already begun at the state level where the Ron Paul, and other sympathetic, Precinct Delegates will shape the new Republican Party. How sympathetic the Tea Party delegates will be remains to be seen. What are the possibilities that they might side with the neocons or be co-opted by the Establishment Republicans? Do we sit idly by or appeal to the common sense many of them have shown when opposing government power and spending.

One situation in which OWS claims to have achieved success is in the protests that they mounted against the conservative lobbying organization known as ALEC. Occupy mounted major protests against ALEC concerning proposed legislation that would affect voting rights as well as other issues. As a result of the protest actions, Coca Cola and Mc Donalds withdrew their support for ALEC. In response, ALEC announced that they no longer advocate social issue legislation and woul henceforth focus only on economic issues.

The US House and US Senate races that have been influenced and the general discussion is being turned our way.

We are turning around aircraft carriers here, not speed boats.

I think the changes we are making in the outer circles is what tells me we are winning. Not true die hard Ron Paul people but former establishment or previous unengadged people are leaning our way.

We have to double down and get as many US House and US Senate candidates in there to take up Ron Pauls banner.
