Do you get it now? GOP will NEVER allow Ron Paul to have influence in the party. NEVER. We failed.

I was attacked over and over two years ago when I suggested the GOP leadership would never accept Ron Paul and his views. Paul's pro-peace message jeopardizes western assets all around the world that were taken and held by military force so western corporations could profit. His message also jeopardizes the fundamentalist Christians war against Islam. I begged Liberty members to forge relationships with individuals that really wanted peace and Liberty. I suggested reaching out to folks involved in the Occupy movement. A diverse group that embraced peace and was exploring the corruption in the financial sector. I was attacked over and over for the suggestion. There were several members here who supported the idea. They were also attacked. Now, we are left with nothing. The GOP threw Ron Paul out, ignored him, laughed at him. Millions of fundamentalist Christians swarmed Santorum in hopes he would continue the wars in the Middle East and shrink government (impossible to do, but the morons don't think). This movement is not functioning. The Liberty Movement is broken and has in many ways lost its principals. What a shame.

The current GOP leadership...

...is withering on the vine and dying due to their own discredited activities and actions.

We just have to make sure WE FREEDOM SUPPORTERS are there to step in, and NOT their second team.

Without a place at the table, this will be a difficult task.

They are not even acknowledging our existence with the action taken today. How do we stop the second wave of GOP trash like Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan without a voice on the inside? Broadcast that loudly and clearly, Steve.

To focus all of our energy toward the corrupt neo-con, crusade loving, GOP is madness.

All the more reason to take

All the more reason to take over the GOP and kick out the neo-cons! Paul-bots roll out : )

Please stop insulting my friends

I attended an OWS event and did get two people out of 20 to dare take anything with RON PAUL on it. I was called a racist, a homophobe, a misogynist and a corporate thug.

Since my visit, the OWS is down to three people sign waving, the three who called me names and insulted me for daring to say RON PAUL to them.

Way too

Late. Ron Paul influence will be on display in Tampa.

You must be new here...

Actually, I'm pretty new. Joined the movement in early 2007. I was lucky enough to talk to experienced people and to also have an intuitive sense that this was a 15-20 year battle. It is--you don't turn a huge ship in a few minutes.

The Fed is a household word--auditing it is openly talked about...and you all have noticed how the other candidates tried to sound like Ron Paul, right? And, despite the naysayers, Paul's son is now in the senate opposing drones, the TSA, talking about auditing the pentagon, reducing military spending and filibustering the patriot act.

It's a long battle.

Your lack of faith is disturbing

You didn't see the big picture then....you don't now.

We can only fail when we stop

We can only fail when we stop trying. Keep up the fight. The war for liberty is ongoing. We can't win every battle but as long as we keep looking forward with a common goal it ain't over yet.

NOTE: I am not advocating violence in any way. The content of the post is for intellectual, theoretical, and philosophical discussion. FEDS, please don't come to my house.

I will ask again without attacks or sarcasm....

What has the OWS movement accomplished? What are their goals? We know they are world wide, they are leaderless, we know all about WHO they are, now tell us what they have accomplished and why we should rally behind them? Give me the selling point that will bring me into the OWS movement. I don't care about the food, the camp outs, where they have been, I simply want to know what they have accomplished, what is their claim to fame, and please let the OP answer this as I am yet to get an answer in asking now 6 times.

The post "occupy accomplishment" which I put at the top of the thread is in response to your question.

OWS is mostly made up of socialists

Also, please stop with your anti-Christian rants on the DP.

and you make my point over and over.

this is absurd.

Actually it is you that allows people to make generalizations

It is obvious that you cannot claim a decisive victory, a set goal, or even a minute accomplishment other than protesters around the world sharing a common name. I happen to be open mined, yet you have failed to even begin to convince me that OWS has done a single thing for the good of man kind, but I am still here with hope you will tell us all, what; to dat, is the greatest accomplishment of OWS?

Cheer up!

Most American's still don't understand the freedom message. It's going to take a long time. In the meantime, have fun reading philosophy and economics and try set small happy brushfires in people's minds. Oh, and prepare for the Great Default as best you can.

This is a pretty good speech on the subject from Mises.org

I beg your pardon

First, I don't believe that you, or anyone in the occupy movement, is smarter than Ron Paul, or has a better plan than Ron Paul.

You, obviously believe you are smarter than Ron Paul and have a better plan than Ron Paul, as you did not even try to do what Ron Paul asked all of us to do, join the GOP, get a seat on a central committee and become a delegate.

You appear to be so heavily under the influence of MSM you can't see past their stratigy and have fallen for it hook, line, and sinker.

There are many here like myself, who spent years in the LP, and when that FAILED, many of us joined Ralph Nader, who is far more brilliant that anyone in the occupy movement. For four elections, and three for me personally, we worked for independent ballot access and open debates. Not only did we FAIL, but we were slammed with multible law suits in multible states, that pulled far more dirty tricks on us, false arrests, vandalism, beatings, using police and their nestworks to undermine us in every city.

Ron Paul is well aware of what we worked at achieving and our failures, and he INVITED US to try a stratigy to occupy the GOP. This has been far more successful by the number of delegates that are going to Tampa, by the GOP imploding to the point it has exposed itself as a party that is so weak, it is under the direction of not wee the people, but the 5%.

We are becoming far more aware what we need to do to RESTORE AMERICA.

The way I see it, you have not only wanted and hoped we failed, but you worked to have us FAIL, by not doing what Ron Paul asked all of us to do, and then undermine us with YOUR plan. YOUR plan FAILED, so why not go on and continue to work on YOUR plan and focus on how YOU FAILED rather than come here to tell us that we failed. YOU have NO clue being under the influence of MSM. Remain outside on the street waving signs about the 1%. We will remian inside working on the 5%.

Occupy Wall Street was a distraction.

Two Congresses gave Wall Street the bailouts. However protesters railed against the recipients not the Representatives who increased the national debt to make their donation to Wall Street.

Congress is the problem not Wall Street.

Congress is the oppressor. Wall Street prospers through the regulations that protect them from competition.

The Constitution provides a legal framework that can protect us from these oppressions.

Free includes debt-free!

I call OWS

another road side attraction. One thing we can all learn from RP is, if it's on the street, it's OUT.

No, Ron Paul doesn't have a master plan.

WE are responsible for ourselves. Ron talks about liberty, etc. It's time to grow up.

Wrong again.

He did have a plan for a Presidential Campaign. 2008 turned out to be a trial run. By 2012 we were to become precinct delegates so that we had the majority say in the GOP. We did really well in some venues.

It is true that Dr. Paul leaves people free. The two are not exclusive if people take up their responsibility and chose to support the Master Plan.

Free includes debt-free!

Don't tell me what to do. I AM responsible for MYSELF.

YES Ron Paul does have a plan to acheive liberty. Just because you refused, which is your right, don't tell those of us that got with Ron Paul's plan in the GOP (and he is telling the truth) and have achieved far more success in one year than, (in my case, 33 years) of work in the LP and under Ralph Nader. You have no idea being you are so under the influence of MSM you have imprisoned yourself to sign waving on the streets and dare call it a plan.

The only people who fail are

The only people who fail are the ones who believe they have, and give up.

accepting failure, exploring why it happened and creating a better plan is the pattern of a champion. The Liberty Movement is in the first phase.

I understand your point and

I understand your point and your take. Our problem may be in semantics and my failure of a non comprehensive idea.

I suppose i mean failure in life or our Goals as a movement. And I hold the view that a difference between a mistake and a failure is perception. Failure meaning no more attempt to obtain the objective.

I was merely attacking the premise that we have failed, that can mistakenly lead to a perception of doing nothing more.

I see where you are coming from in making sure not to be insane by doing the same thing over and over like Ben Bernanke...

You assumptions are the problem.

You don't understand how political parties are created in this system. This isn't about creating a platform for a champion.

This is about being elected to the parties as local delegates and creating a platform for liberty minded candidates who support and uphold the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.

Free includes debt-free!

That's sweet.

and they promptly threw out the Ron Paul delegates like some us here KNEW they would. Now what?

You are confused, there are different kinds of delegates.

GOP Precinct delegates are popularly elected officials. They cannot be thrown out, their term simply ends.

If you have a majority of precinct delegates you set the agenda. You elect the national delegates. In some venues we did not have the majority.

We did not have deep enough support on the national committee because we did not have enough precinct delegates to send our people to the national committee.

However, a few new national committee members start their tenure this month.

And in a couple of weeks national delegates will head to Florida. In the mean time their is work to be done locally.

Free includes debt-free!

The central committees rule the precincts. You can be qualified and duly elected, but you still need to be vetted by the central committee, sign oaths to the constitution, loyalty to the GOP/by-laws, and a 470.

When the central committees meet, to vet delegates, all they have to do is ask each other, "Do you know this person in your county?" If they say, "No. never met them." The committee has every right to replace that qualified/ duly elected memeber with their own choice.. it's in the by-laws and registered with the counties and the states.

The big mistake many qualified delegates made was not attending a committee meeting and introducing themselves. Notice that the delegates who made are most are on the committees. Precincts represent voting blocks in a county, the county is divided into districts, under the board of supervisors, for example, my county has hunddreds of precincts, but only 5 districts, and each county district is provided seats representing the registered voters of that party.
