Should President Obama Be Indefinitely Detained?

Great post by fellow blogger Marc Clair at Lions of Liberty

Last week it was revealed that earlier this year President Obama signed a secret order authorizing support for Syrian rebels attempting to overthrow the government of Bashar Al Assad. Of course, these guys are “freedom fighters”, and since American loves freedom, it makes perfect sense to send those wholesome young men aid looted from other hard working freedom loving Americans, right?

Setting aside the the Constitutional issues (as everyone else has) with The President involving the U.S. in another armed conflict without the authorization of Congress, another problem lies with just exactly who these rebels are. According to the very same Reuters article that revealed the secret order:

"Recent news reports from the region have suggested that the influence and numbers of Islamist militants, some of them connected to al Qaeda or its affiliates, have been growing among Assad’s opponents."

Wait, who was that? Al Qaeda? Aren’t those the same guys that planned and carried out the tragic events of 9/11 that changed everything forever?! The same event used to justify every aspect of the police state from airport gropings to the passage of the 2012 NDAA, which authorized the military to indefinitely detain any American suspected of terrorism? According to the language of the NDAA, the President is authorized to detain:

"A person who was part of or substantially supported al-Qaeda, the Taliban, or associated forces that are engaged in hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners, including any person who has committed a belligerent act or has directly supported such hostilities in aid of such enemy forces."

Maybe I’m just a stickler for words, but wouldn’t authorizing the CIA to arm and provide intelligence to members of Al Qaeda be considered “substantially supporting” them? It seems that The President himself is violating the very law that he signed under the cover of New Year’s Eve. Under this logic, it seems that President Obama should be indefinitely detained by the U.S. military as a domestic terrorist. For that matter, what about the 3 Stooges of War Mongering – John McCain, Joe Lieberman and Lindsey Graham – who’ve criticized the President for not supporting the rebels enough ? Not content with secret support, they’ve called for the United States to “directly and openly” provide support to the rebel fighters.

Oh dont worry, they are only

Oh dont worry, they are only our enemy...except when they are not.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

If Ron Paul were in charge, and evidence was found, I bet he would open the jail under the Capitol Bldg, that has been closed for a hundred years, and throw them all in there...
Maybe he would use the Capitol Police to storm the WH and would never spend the money to build another holding place, nor would he pay to have them flown ANYWHERE.
They would stay right in DC, where he could keep an eye on them for us because we will be PARTYING directly after their arrests and indictments so he would watch them and keep them close so they dont have far to go for their trials.

Maybe he would allow for mock military trials in DC at Fox/MSNBC expense???

so many fantasies here!

I get giddy thinking up new scenarios!!!..
I try and think like a cheap skate with mass full effect for the tax payer dollars spent." biggest bang for the silver dollar"" i guess.

Trials in DC and jail sentences served out in West Va, maybe in a mtn cave left over from mtn top removal- remade into max security prisoner housing???..

something like that,,

"OH NO! He has a SON?" Neoconservatives and Liberals EVERYWHERE!

Rand Paul 2016

Yeah the mountain top fenced all around with a circling drone

and no shade. That would be fitting.
With orange jump suits, and made to spend their day outside.
Then you could have a tourist attraction from a point where people can come a look in one of those scenic binos and check them out or give a show and tell to their children.

I can picture Reid and peloski already.

It would be legal to do so

According to the new laws that our government keeps passing. It would be legal to indefinitely detain him, perform enhanced interrogation techniques on him in order to get credible information on things of national security importance, such as: What information he had on his real father, Frank Marshall Davis; What information he had on the crime syndicate in Chicago; and many other things of national importance.

Yes yes yes

him and all of his crony buddies in the white house and wall street. Lock them in the darkest place where they literary will never see the light the again. People of this caliber of evil don't deserve the warming embrace of the sun nor the mercy of death, let them rot in a hole with nothing but slop to eat. The big bankers that control this country will not achieve their goal of a totalitarian society, and there system of eugenics. They will fall as all tyrants have and the people will rise to peace and prosperity for all on this Earth.

Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our Liberty. -Thomas Jefferson

He and Hillary should be tried for War Crimes for providing

support / diplomatic and otherwise (which we are not aware of) for the War Crimes committed by the so called Syrian Rebels forces.
Interestingly, some how a country that lived under a dictatorship is suddenly overflowing with heavy automatic weapons and ammunition. How does that happen.
First, If you watch the videos, these guys look like they have some sort of training and dont seem to be random upheaval of the local population.

Second, some also happen to have camouflage uniforms different from the Syrian Assad forces. How does that happen? Pretty odd that a dictatorship would allow the free flow and purchase of camouflage uniforms different from its own military within its population. How interesting.

Third, If these rebels are indeed the population uprising or revolt from within the military, why would they be committing atrocities on the local population? Wouldn't that destroy any support that they might receive in terms of food and shelter from the very population that it is said to be fighting the regime for?

The saber rattling by Hillary and Obama goes to show that there is more than meets the eye. Fourth, if we look at the map of Greater Israel, I think one gets the whole picture.

This does not covey support or justification for the crimes committed by the Assad forces. But since we are justifying war and attacks based on war crimes of dictators, then the administration should be held accountable for the same acts of violence it is perpetuating and/or supporting. Because it is safe to say that President Assad may not have committed a said criminal act by the military by himself but accountable for it. Same as obama took the credit for Seal Team Six in Afghanistan! Call for a tribunal.

Those are paid mercenaries

Those are paid mercenaries with military training, they are getting getting money, weapons and logistic, here are few examples, their attacks are highly efficient and coordinated, not just a bunch of guys shooting AK-47's, there's a full war going on in Syria:

Sniper takes out a Syrian Soldier then prevents other Syrian soldiers from picking him up by shooting at their APC.

IED attack on Syrian tank

IED attack on tanker

Aftermath targeting checkpoint

Oil pipeline gets set ablaze

Suicide Bombing kills Defence Minister and Others

And people still...

...cannot put the puzzle together!?

This Al Qaeda bullshiat is

This Al Qaeda bullshiat is getting old and ridiculous, Al Qaeda terrorists are as real as goblins, elves, dwarves, giants, mermaids or gnomes, give me a f**** break!

It's important to shatter this Al Qaeda myth and make it mainstream. Ben Swann is doing a great job!
