Open Secrets: Ron Paul Gets the Most Donations from the Healthcare Professionals

I thought this was interesting. Ron Paul gets the most donations from healthcare professionals. I wonder what that says, if anything, about Obamacare. I know my family doctor is a huge Ron Paul supporter. Take a look at this:

Doctors For Dr. Ron Paul! R[3]VOLUTION!

It is time patients and Doctors can speak in confidentiality without Doctors being at risk of losing their licences for suggesting Natural Medicine (...that cannot be patented and profited from by The Pharmaceutical Industry).

Among retired people too! And more.

This data concerns only members of Congress. But being tops among retired folks proves the r3VOLution isn't just a youth movement. He's also tops in the miscellaneous business category, computers/internet, education, and construction services -- and that's including Democrats.

As a healthcare professional....

I can honestly say I never donated to a presidential candidate, until I discovered Ron Paul.

I don't support him because I'm against ObamaCare (who thought it'd actually pass anyway?), although I am very much opposed to it.

The Catholic hospital I work at is ALL for ObamaCare now, even though a few months ago they sent out an email about how the Act would really strain everyone in healthcare. Now they send out emails saying, "we can do this, it will be hard, but we know YOU can work harder and make this happen...".

We're in a nursing crisis as it is, and finding good aides is just as hard (they work very hard, and get paid very little). Most people don't like the idea of going thousands in debt to government-owned universities to go into healthcare, only to be overworked.

My employer cites their support with pictures of children, saying no child should ever be denied healthcare. True, they shouldn't. But they shouldn't get crappy healthcare either, and that's exactly what they'll get if they stretch us any thinner.

I think healthcare professionals, at least the ones I know, are saddened by hearing so many people talk about how they've lost their home due to poor health/medical bills, etc. and that spilled over into hating Big Pharma, crooked insurance companies, the government's "free" healthcare for themselves, etc.

The message of liberty just automatically resonated with most of us.

Thank you for taking the time

Thank you for taking the time to tell how it is looking from your side of Obamacare. Have you worked at the Catholic hospital long? I'm only asking because I think the Catholic Church has become more political over the past 5 years.

This is what my doctor had to say about Ron Paul. I was sitting in the room waiting for the doctor to come in a few years ago. I was reading The Revolution by Ron Paul when she came into the room and asked me what I was reading. When I showed her the book, she smiled and said, "I like Ron Paul." She told me that Ron Paul was the only person who knew how to solve the health care problems. Since then, every time I go in she asks me how Dr. Paul is doing. Before that day when I was reading the book, she was always very busy and in and out of the room quickly. Now she takes time to chat about Ron Paul.

I've been there a year

I worked for a for-profit hospital before going to the non-profit hospital I'm at now. I think the Vatican has been VERY political forever. Look who backs the UN and the Federal Reserve.

All roads lead back to the Vatican; they are a religio-political powerhouse.

I work night shift and we already have 7 patients each. The aides have 8-10 patients. There are times that it is already borderline dangerous and they're hinting that we'll be given more of a patient load if ObamaCare takes shape. I don't know too many nurses, at least the ones that actually CARE, that will hang on long enough to watch healthcare go down the toilet.

Since I've always tried to

Since I've always tried to avoid the Daily Paul religious threads, I haven't read much on the Vatican and the Federal Reserve. All I know is that back when they were first talking about Obamacare, I read something put out by the United States Catholic Bishops that said they supported Obamacare. That took me by surprise. I always thought that the Catholic Church believed in personal responsibility and free will... and not relying on the government to forcibly take our money for the poor. I think even Ron Paul worked for a charity hospital at one time and he said the hospital took care of the poor...not the government.

Well I learned something new here. Anyway. I'm glad the healthcare professionals can see what's in our future with Obamacare.

Funny how the people on the

Funny how the people on the front lines always seem to prefer Ron Paul. Military, healthcare , etc...

Bump for all those Liberty doctors out there.

I'm glad that I'm not alone.

This was interesting. Neat to see that computer and internet professionals also gave more to Ron Paul than any other congressman.
