Paul Asks Help to Send His Delegates to Tampa

If he were not going to be on the ballot, why would he have sent us all THIS?

Dear Liberty Activist,

As you know, the Republican National Convention is right around the corner!

From the beginning, I’ve said this convention in Tampa will be a critical step for our R3VOLUTION.

That’s why I’ve instructed my campaign staff to offer financial assistance to our delegates who otherwise wouldn't be able to make it in order to ensure every one of them can reach Tampa.

But in order to make this a reality, can I count on you to please make a generous contribution to help as many of our campaign’s delegates as possible make it to the Republican National Convention?

As you know, the establishment hasn’t just sat still and quietly watched us take over party chapters and rack up delegates.

Their opposition has required our campaign to spend resources in Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, and Oregon to defend our gains and defeat their challenges.

And with August just around the corner, we want to make sure we can cover expenses for delegates that need help reaching the convention.

Your contribution will be put directly toward transportation, lodging, and other costs associated with getting these delegates to Tampa.

This is incredibly important for a number of reasons:

*** First, the Republican National Convention is our opportunity to plant our flag and show that our Liberty movement is the future of the GOP.

Seeing a flood of pro-liberty delegates and so many new and young faces in Tampa will respectfully send that message to the GOP establishment.

*** Second, we’re expecting a credentials battle at the Convention to ensure the national GOP doesn’t just “look the other way” at some of the dirty tricks my supporters had to deal with in many states.

I’ll need my supporters in Tampa to help ensure as many of our campaign’s delegates get credentialed as possible.

*** And finally, the Republican National Convention provides us with the opportunity to affect the Party Platform.

As you know, pro-liberty delegates will be fighting for an internet freedom plank, an Audit the Fed plank, and a plan opposing the indefinite detention of American citizens.

We may also have a battle over a plank opposing the so-called “PATRIOT” Act and undeclared wars.

Getting these crucial issues in the Republican Party Platform will not only show that we are the future of the GOP, but also perhaps even help convince some legislators who were “on the fence” on these issues to start coming our way.

That’s why I’m hoping I can count on you to make a generous contribution to help our campaign’s delegates get to Tampa.

There’s no doubt that our Liberty Movement is growing by leaps and bounds.

And it’s because of your hard work and dedication that we are the future of the Republican Party.

Thank you for all of that hard work and for everything you’ve done for my campaign!

For Liberty,

Ron Paul

P.S. The Republican National Convention is rapidly approaching.

And it’s absolutely vital our campaign’s delegates are able to make it to Tampa to help with our goals for the Republican National Convention.

Our campaign has spent resources defending our delegates in several states, and we want to make sure we can cover expenses for delegates that need help reaching the convention.

So won't you make a generous contribution to help my delegates get to Tampa and help carry out my plans for the convention?

That's right!

Just close your eyes, turn off your brain and believe!

God didn't give you a brain for you to use it. Just hand over the money and let someone else do the thinking for you.

of course I am blinded

and biased, I want US to win. I don't think it is productive for us to fight. I have issues with the many chip ins popping up around here, just as you do about donating to the campaign. I am going to go out on a limb and assume we are on the same team and both want to see Paul nominated in 3 weeks. Good Luck.

More evidence of the Campaign's brilliant organizing skills

Hey Schill, while your at it, read this:

The campaign didn't even have all 8 of us in their database

And this is who you want to send money to? After you see how they mismanaged the campaign, you trust them to get money to delegates? $2.8 million in the bank and that money doesn't spend?

Why you have any financial faith left in this campaign is beyond me. Oh, let me guess: "I got a email from Ron Paul that told me what to do."

You probably think he actually wrote it, too.

If the delegates could get money from the campaign

Why did this one need to have a chipin to beg for money from the community?

http://www.dailypaul.com/247582/rpf-repost-help-a-ron-paul-n...

Ani DeGroot is on the Rules Committee. She's volunteered BIG TIME for the campaign. She's on the staff of YAL, C4L's sister organization. C4L is where all the surplus campaign money is going when this thing is over.

If the campaign has $2.8 million in the bank, and is supposedly paying for delegates in need to get to the campaign, WHY ON EARTH WOULD SHE NEED TO DO A CHIP IN AND BEG FOR IT FROM THE COMMUNITY?

Answer me this: How do delegates apply for funds? If Ani DeGroot can't get funds from the campaign, then how on earth is anyone else going to? Where does one apply? How does the campaign do merit testing?

They could fly all 500 delegates to Tampa and put them up at the Hilton with the money they've got on hand.

Wake up, Schill! Just who is it you're shilling for?

Ha.

This is how you repay all those who have "sold their blood" to donate to the campaign ? You actively sabotage it before the convention? I find it incredibly suspect that a supporter of Ron Paul would accuse him and his Presidential campaign of scheming on and defrauding his base. Hasn't this man proven himself worthy of our trust ? You pretend as if Ron Paul is not aware of this letter. You seem angry, even a little unstable. Were you personally slighted by the campaign? I sense you have an ax to grind ...cause the conclusions you have drawn have no logical base in reality. Why after 50 million dollars in donations and tens of millions of man hours supporting and campaigning should anyone listen to your disenfranchised sorry ass over continuing this fight till we win or die trying?

Have some real respect for those whom you feign respect for.

You didn't answer any of my questions

You didn't even try. Instead, you engage in ad hominem attacks, calling me 'unstable,' simply for asking questions. You find my questioning - my God given right - "suspect."

What I find suspect is why delegates need to beg for money with chipins. You see them everywhere on this site, and the Ron Paul Forums. If the Campaign were interested in helping them, they would take some of that $2.8 million they've got on hand and start spreading it around.

You are a blind believer, and for that I pity you.

None are so blind as those who refuse to see.

Words of caution:

Some like Schill get their critical thinking and hero worship all tied up in knots. It hurts their brain to contemplate the idea that some MAY have used the movement as a vehicle to be little opportunists for material gain.

Why

Maybe because, his ghostwriter likes money?

http://www.economicpolicyjournal.com/2012/05/jesse-bentons-5...

I'm not a big fan of sending Jesse Benton any more of mine.

Damn,

that little turd got even more than I thought! I'm with you on this one buddy. For the campaign to have such a reportedly large surplus of funds I can't imagine Ron himself trying to squeeze every last drop out of us. No more money from me for this campaign, sorry Jesse(ya douche.)

....

You are a very disrespectful member of this community.

They tried to bury us, they didn't know we were seeds. -mexican proverb

Unless your name is...

Jesse Benton or Jack Hunter, you don't have anything to worry about. Geez free speech police. And I RESPECT your opinion for what it is: your opinion. I'm starting to understand now why Adam Kokesh ends his broadcasts with "send your hate mail to..."

Actually

I'd say that Jesse Benton is a disrespectful member of this community.

That sum of money is equal to one full moneybomb.

People were selling their blood to donate to the campaign. Meanwhile, he's laughing all the way to the bank with it.

You have an interesting definition of 'disrespect.' Words are one thing. Fraud is quite another.

Thanks for the back up. Corruption within is a tough pill to swallow for some who prefer to keep the blinders of infallibility on. You're my new favorite member.

Do not let baloneysandwich or Shazad sidetrack you. As ligitimate as they may sound, do not let them sidetrack you.

We MUST get our delegates to Tampa. We MUST contribute to this effort. Everything will work out. A bird very close to me has told me so.

Do it:

Yes, front page

please!

hahaha. that was funny.

Get the delegates to TAMPA. I agree not to let the trolls distract us. Ron Paul does not need a speaking position to have his name placed for the nomination.

Then find a chip in for a state

and contribute to that. I understand your reluctance. It is up to you to find ways that you feel comfortable.

I agree

I was saying his comment about bolongasandwich was funny. I.agree. Get the delegates to Tampa period.

Chipins are a better investment

At least you know the money won't be going into Jesse Benton's pocket.

What about the non-Ron Paul delegates?

Notice that there is nothing in the letter that says what is going to be done to persuade non-Ron Paul delegates to vote for Ron Paul at the national convention. We already know that Ron Paul does not have enough delegates at this time to win the nomination so the only hope for Ron Paul to win the nomination is to convince Romney delegates to vote for Ron Paul instead - but something has to be done about it NOW!!
Is Ron Paul in it to win it? With the survival of our country at stake, I would have hoped he was. But based on his last letter to his supporters he sadly is not - Ron Paul's campaign has effectively ceded the nomination to Mitt Romney.

Baloneysandwich

you don't know that

prove he doesn't have enough delegates as you say. Prove it or remove this post NOW!

Keepin' it real.

whaaaaaaaa? Where do you get that? Do you have to be

hit over the head and screamed at to get the gist of this man?

He is a man of great reserve. Don't you understand that yet?

Maybe another word will be more plain to you....how about "low key". Do you know what that means?

How about not blatant. He is not blatant. Or latent. Any of these words might help you understand Dr. Paul.

SequoiaTrees4RonPaul

he's not trying to persuade them

He's not going after the nomination, and he has said that over and over. He's not going to try to persuade 700 delegates who went there to vote for Romney to suddenly vote for him. He's trying to maximize his effect with the numbers that he will have. He knows that he can't change the nomination, but there are other things he is trying to accomplish.

If we get our strong RP delegates to Tampa,

they will be a major educational influence on other, less committed delegates.

influence

Our delegates will attempt to influence the Santorum/Gingrich delegates. This is why it is important for each of our delegates to be able to attend.
Maybe a handful of Romney delegates will change teams, though I doubt it.

Did he send it or does Jesse

Did he send it or does Jesse need more money?
If Ron isn't even allowed at the coronation how will his delegates get in?
