GMOs cause animals to lose their ability to reproduce, Russian scientists discover

Monday, August 06, 2012 by: Jonathan Benson, staff writer

(NaturalNews) A study presented at the Days of Defense Against Environmental Hazards in Russia has unveiled once again the implicit dangers associated with the consumption of genetically-modified organisms (GMOs). According to Voice of Russia, scientists from the National Association for Gene Security and the Institute of Ecological and Evolutional Problems discovered that animals fed GMOs as part of their normal diet eventually develop the inability to reproduce.

A shocking revelation; the study is one of several that has identified a link between GMO consumption and infertility in recent years. And because it was conducted independently of the biotechnology industry, it came to far different conclusions than have most of the studies offered up for mainstream consumption in defense of GMOs.

not to discourage vigilance

but i'm glad we have rational people here to counter in instances where it's gone over the top

Why shucks,

we'll fix that with our new patented GMO animals with an engineered genetic resistance to the ill effects of our GMO crops. And heck, any problems for humans and we'll produce patented GMO humans.

New Hampshire and Ecuador.

....lol

.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

I found a very well written blog debunk to this "study"

My intuition was screaming at me that this is bullshit (like the vast majority of NaturalNews articles posted here). Luckily someone did the skeptical research for me.

More nonsense from Mike Adams and his ilk.

"Farmers across the U.S. have also reported infertility among pigs and cows that consume GM feed."

A simple reality check of the facts will point out just how stupid and disconnected and ridiculous this statement is. Most of the pigs in the USA consume some GMO grain. The fertility rate continues to improve due to good management. Infertility is always a problem for poorly managed farms.

I cannot imagine why Mike Adams the Stealth Deranger has any credibility at all among mature people with the ability to think.

Oh.

Maybe he doesn't.

Where is the link to the actual study?

I'm sick of hearing spin through the HuffingtonPost and NaturalNews. How come these people NEVER put the actual published journal article in the story? This was in 2010, the article should be published and peer-reviewed by now.
