Gotta love it when the lawyer
Gotta love it when the lawyer throws down the F bomb.
Anyways, yeah, that's pretty sad, but it doesn't surprise me.
NSA is oblivious to Wall St Financial Terrorists
Who are a much greater threat to national security than any so called 3rd world terrorist.
The pirates of wall street have already inflicted way more damage.
This is probably the reason for such a bloated intelligence gathering apparatus that cost 100 times another program that's more effective. They need this bloated apparatus in order to stove pipe information, & to keep the pirates of wall street at the wheel of the economy.

His own words:

When I learned of Drake, this was the only video on the tube I could find.
He has had an incredible journey bringing this to our attention.

This whole presentation doesn't sit well with me
I like funny ironic segments pointing out hypocrisy as much as anyone, but somehow I just found this disturbing.
I don't know, maybe its just the mood I'm in, but I come away from this feeling like this should have angered people and not left them laughing it off. It's as if the audience was laughing and saying, "OH there goes that crazy loveable government again...wasting money left and right and attacking anyone who points it out." If it was a sitcom, the ending line would be "What are we going to do with that Crazy Uncle Sam?"
It's just that I got an exaggerated flash of a Hunger Games type audience applauding and laughing at things they should be horrified about.
I hear ya, and you are
I hear ya, and you are exactly right. Jon Stewart (and Stephen Colbert) are the people ALOT of America gets their news from. As disturbing as it is, it is reality. Unfortunately, its more important for people who aren't awake to become awake by any means necessary. What I'm trying to say is "it is what it is".
You can tell that thomas drake didn't find anything humurous about the interview. I bet the conversation behind the scenes went something like "We want to get your story out, but we have to bring comedy into it. I will help you, but please, play ball"
One world, under government, with power and money for the elite
Aint that the truth
Seems people need a little comedy with their medicine of truth or they can't seem to choke it down.....sad statement on reality.
Has it always been this way?
Romans had the colleseum.
Romans had the colleseum. Apparently so. Entertainment is more important than principle.
One world, under government, with power and money for the elite
No wonder the government needs air-tight secrecy
to defend their *faulty, wasteful, criminal, vicious* security apparatus!
Even the gazzilions of info on our daily personal activity will NOT satisfy their power-hungry needs . .

This Gives Me Hope
It reaffirms that the government is completely incompetent to do anything. Anyone worried about big brother need not worry. The feds would rather use a $4 billion dollar spy program that doesn't work then admit their failure and use the $3 million program.. rest easy
Well, yeah...
you would HAVE to be blindingly stupid in this day and age to believe that police-state measures are a good way to govern.
I don't play, I commission the league.

The regimes of old are jealous they didn't have near the awesome propaganda wing these guys do.

Sigh, and they have to sneak a bit of honest
reportage to the people in the form of comedy.
That was fun

Making one a criminal...
...for exposing criminals! Wow, just wow!
yeah
absolutely crazy.
wow...
wow...
but they got the space program.. doesn't it justify the rest of
9 out of 10 wasteful spendings?
10 for 10 justifies nothing.
Waste multiplied 10 times is an order of magnitude more waste.
