Kurt Haskell Wins House of Representatives Primary in Michigan

Michigan attorney Kurt Haskell has beaten his opponent in the August 7 primary for a seat in the House of Representatives. Haskell defeated fellow Democrat Ruben Marquez and will face Republican Tim Walberg in November. Walberg is the current Representative for Michigan’s 7th congressional district.

Kurt Haskell came to public attention following the so-called underwear bomber incident on Christmas Day, 2009. He was on a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit when Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab feebly attempted to ignite PETN bomb. Haskell also witnessed a “sharp dressed man” ushering Abdulmutallab on the flight prior to the supposedly flubbed attack despite the fact the Nigerian did not have a passport.

“Every single fact that has come to light since the attempted bombing on Christmas Day directly indicates that the bomber was deliberately allowed to board the plane and that his attack would have succeeded if not for the alert and brave reactions of the passengers and flight crew,” Paul Jospeh Watson wrote for Infowars.com on December 27, 2009.

Haskell told his story during a December 29, 2009 appearance on the Alex Jones Show. He maintains that Abdulmutallab was carrying an inoperative bomb and was set-up as a patsy.

GOOD JOB KURT! Someone delete the trolls

Kurt has responded to these comments, he is a Daily Paul member, and may I add, one hell of an American.

Kurt please post all your interviews. I have read many of your view points and I do not agree with you fully. Yet even libertarians disagree with other libertarians. But I do know I want you in Congress and not your obvious Neo-Con contender. NO MORE NEO-CONS, NO MORE WAR!

But you know what is funny, at least to me, I have yet to see a lawyer joke in the comments.

SO....
How many Lawyers does it take to change a light bulb ???????
Well it takes ......

Of course...the troll accusation

Nice way to counter an argument. Rather than give a reasonable counterpoint to the statement as to why he supports regulations, collective bargaining and expiration of tax cuts, the fall back is the troll accusation.

Common, you can do better....

So you want Anarchy Dexter?

The items you state all are forms of existing contracts. Ron Paul does not support the immediate elimination of the FED or Soc. Sec.
Do you?

deacon's picture

anarchy

a state of society without government or law.
here is one definition,i like it
deacon

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

He doesn't support it and wants to sunset it

Abruptly...no gradually .....yes

Haskell has not answered my questions and I can only conclude he supports the aforementioned as one of his principles and not as a means to widdle it down.

I'm not sure how you derived anarchy from that?

For Freedom!
The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.

Dexter glad you see visions of the sunset

I derived anarchy from the fact that you seem to believe collective bargining is going to end tomorrow, just because you seem to want it too; I say exile the money masters. Take the toy away from both kids. Remove the usury interest both entities are fighting about. And audit all States. Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports must be explained to the public.

Dexter, Haskell wants to END THE FED as soon as possible. Once the central bank is reined in and a competing currencies improve the economy many things can be revisited. But the FED is the key. The FED must be eliminated as soon as posible, as calmly as possible. (e.g. currently, the banks are controlling the media and the LIBOR scandal. The bank monopoly must go!) And yes, Haskell may play his hand like Kucinich from time to time, but the fact of the matter is, Haskell is a huge Constitutionalist. He may not agree with you 100%, like I don't agree with you now, and I didn't agree with Dr. Paul when he kept Jesse Benton as his campaign manager. But the direction must be freedom! And there are many who seek to prevent it.

There is no Left vs. Right, only Tyranny vs. Freedom!

I live in the 7th and Kurt Haskell is no Ron Paul democrat

He will not get my vote and is actually worse than Republican Tim Walberg.

He supports government subsidies for unions, and mortgage holders. He advocates more regulations and higher taxes. But wait there's more.....
http://www.kurthaskellforcongress.com/issues.html

Just because this guy witnessed a lie from the FBI and Homeland Security doesn't make him a good candidate for congress.

And the fact that Alex Jones gives him press, does not mean he's a good guy.

If you hate wars, and also

If you hate wars, and also hate the War on Drugs, NDAA, and the Patriot Act, Haskell is a great choice. He also doesn't like what the Fed's doing with their "loose money supply" in his words.

I don't understand how you can possibly say he's worse than Walberg. He's clearly miles better. Walberg sucks.

It's like the hoekstra Stabenow debate

Why must we prop up the lesser of the two ?

STOP COMPROMISING and start standing up for Liberty.

Obviously he extols some good virtues but your willing to accept higher taxes and more Union backing in exchange for a guy that gives you some Liberty?

For Freedom!

Yes I am willing to support him because he is a good candidate

As of now our system is bloated and we're deficit spending at record amounts. We can't just get rid of all taxes and Kurt knows that. He wants to balance the budget and I think he's serious about it.

He'll be one of the most pro-liberty candidates in the House, if only people like you realize that sometimes we've gotta settle for someone who is mostly on our side, instead of someone who is almost completely against us (like most of the GOP and Dems).

I don't think you know what liberty is!

Dexter, you have no idea of the level of deception use against the people of our country. This is tragic. A man has stood up for you already sir! Already stood up for you and your family in front of a congressional hearing to protect you! To protect you and family from a slew of psychopaths who would rather take the chance of killing Americans over American soil to increase the balance sheet of the globalist war machine. And you choose on the lamest issue to cite a NAY vote against a true hero of the Republic. For shame, I hope you can sleep at night. As for me I cannot. With Americans as blind as you, to not see the forest beyond the trees is the why we loose our liberties. YOU RUN FOR CONGRESS IF YOU HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS!

And by the way, if a group of individuals wish to form a contract as a UNION and this UNION does not impede the liberties of other individuals, by God man, they have the right to do so Dexter.

Agreed 100%

We need more people who aren't part of the machine.

I bet this Walberg guy is going to rake in the money from AIPAC now :(

Ollie North testified In front of congress too

Doesnt make him great.

I will not argue he has some good qualities. What I will say is compromise will get us nowhere. I am tired of people picking issues that favor the liberty crowd and yet pander to the opposition.

Ron Paul would never do this. Why should Mr Haskell?

thanks brother

i went to read his site myself
and i agree with your AJ comment, but will add
that it just might be kurt's downfall
deacon

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

I think he has some respectable qualities

But his stand on the union and taxation subjects makes be squirm.....

Hope your having a great Summer Deacon!

deacon's picture

he does at that

have respectable qualities, and the fact he is not an insider
not a politician at heart, makes me want to vote for him
we all have grown in understanding and knowledge,as does
everyone who wants to grow and support liberty and freedom as a way of life
we didn't come into this world knowing everything,we had to
be taught, and at times untaught to know truth and to grow
as a whole, not everyone is a perfect candidate, but the ones
who do no harm and follow the law per the const should be
helped in all manner for us to strive forward and thrive
this summer has been too short, working my butt off getting things
in order, the garden grew and died for the heat, hooked with a few amish
folks who know what is going on,i think we are going to help each other out, sorry for the side step there
hope and pray your summer went well also, and pray you and yours are well

Nice

Since the overriding issue on this the fate of this nation hangs

...is the run-amok national "security" spook-state, which Kurt Haskell will oppose with a fury like none other, because he and his wife were almost murdered by it in one of its flimsy false-flag-terror PR-stunts, I wholeheartedly support his candidacy.

deacon's picture

i agree

he and his wife have a unique perspective on the inner workings
of the gov,one that no one should ever have to see or deal with
but it sure has a way of changing how you see and deal with life
it was a terrible thing that went on aboard that jet,but the outcome
might be a benefit for us all
deacon

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

In an extreme sense

And by no means am comparing this man to a monster but couldn't one say the same about Hitler? He was extremely nationalistic and most of the people loved him for pushing back against the aggressors in France and England over WWI reparations. .he put people back to work and restored his economy... But he obviously had some serious flaws that in the end did not justify the good he did......

I'm just saying , we need LIBERtY candidates and stop compromising.

For Freedom!
The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.

All good but

If he supports strong unions and manipulation of intrest rates then your trading gun for a knife. Yes he has some great positions but we need candidates that believe in liberty through and through....

For Freedom!
The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.

If you can't slay all the monsters at once...

...at least slay the biggest one first. That's what Kurt will do, and that's why I support him.

AGREED! He just said he

AGREED! He just said he likes low interest rates on student loans by the way. He seems to be down on the Fed.

Who determines low interest rates!

How is that accomplished?

There's a difference

Between predatory banks and college students.

Besides, if you run as a Democrat you have to say you're "pro-education" even if you realize the system sucks.

Kurt is miles better than Walberg, and he even is a Daily Paul member!

I don't know how you can't support him.

There's a lot of Daily Paul members I wouldn't vote for

So that means nothing.

Would Ron Paul have to take a position because he's a republican? You are proving my point. It's about principles before party. That's the very reason we lost our way as a country because somehow we felt we had to take the party line.

I do t like Walberg, that was sarcasm above. Still doesn't mean I'll vote for Haskell in the 7th and as a matter of fact as a precinct delegate I just may campaign against him until I'm satisfied with his answers to my questions.

For Freedom!
The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.

How about you support the better candidate, Haskell?

So you'd rather have a worse candidate than a better one? I don't understand your twisted logic.

We want Congress to be as good as possible, and when there's 2 choices: 1 who is clearly more on our side, then he deserves our support. It's like Ted Cruz vs. Dewhurst. Maybe you wanted to write in Ron Paul there too. But that's not how it works!

Go write in the Libertarian candidate and be proud that YOU didn't "compromise". Guess what though, you're not making your country any better for doing so.

Best advise of the day

The lesser of two evils is still evil.

The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.

I think I found one

Ron Paul excepted, I think I've found my candidate for this election cycle. Thanks for the post!

Vickie

election

Thank you Vickie and everyone else on here for the well wishes! I can't tell you how excited I am to win the primary and move one step closer to Washington. I will be setting up a money bomb shortly and could use help setting it up from anyone in the know. I look forward to standing up for the Constitution and the people of the U.S. in the 113th Congress.
