"Air is the very substance of our freedom, the substance of superhuman joy....aerial joy is freedom."--Gaston Bachelard--

I'm not reading any gary johnson threads anymore

just skipping it and moving on. Obama trolls want to split the votes.
Gotta get rid of him by any means necessary. By any means....
I'll never forgive him for what he has done to this country..That skinny Indonesian and his sidekick Indonesian Valerie Jarret citizens of Indonesia need to go back home to Indonesia.....and leave us to mend if we can. He needs to apologize to us. But he has no integrity so that will never happen.
And John Kerry should choke on his wife ketchup the way he runs things behind the scene and barry the Indonesian is his beotch.

Keepin' it real.

When Ron Paul gets nominated

I would like Ron Paul to choose Walter E. Williams for his Vice Presidential candidate. Paul/Williams that's the ticket!

Walter Williams is the man!

He has always been so solid and consistent on his principles...just like Dr. Paul.

Time to INVESTIGATE the investigators of 9/11. PROSECUTE the prosecutors. EXPOSE the cover-up.

Anti-Federalists

Warned about the possibility of abuse of this clause when the drafting of the constitution was being debated.

True. But Federalists equally

True. But Federalists equally wanted the clause to be viewed very openly. And neither side really won; it was a compromise.

I mean, in the time of the founders they regulated the martime industry, healthcare industry, the arms industry, etc. etc.

Proving again that the anti-federalists were right to be concerned. I gotta admit, I seem to invariably side with the anti-federalists.

See, the thing is, the

See, the thing is, the anti-federalists were scared that the government would do things WITHOUT the consent of the people. But for the most part, the federal government has done things with the consent of the people. People love the war on drugs. They love gun control. They love the warss, the Patriot Act, DHS, DOE, oil subsidies, etc. They love the federal reserve, etc.

Some of those attitudes are definitely changing, but you can't deny that Congress did these things at the blessing of the people.

People also forget that sometimes, its people pushing the government despite the government not wanting to do it. While I am sure that Bush was happy to invade countries after 9-11, if he hadn't invaded a country, the Democrats would have destroyed him in the next election. Hell, he might have been impeached. Heck, Nixon pushed the war on drugs due to pressure from social conservatives. Current bans on gay marriage come from that same forces,,,

I don't know. I have very little sympathy for the American people, who have not used their voting power to put a stop to this.
