Ron Paul for the WIN - Help needed in order to do that

Post finished for now.
Positive suggestions welcome.

Send a letter to your representatives that they will lose their election if the RNC insist on picking Romney in Tampa.

We have a chance to take TAMPA, we MUST do all that we can to take our chance.
Romney has given us a chance with all his screw ups and gaffes.
He is already getting creamed in the swing states and Electoral College maps.

We have to discredit Romney and get him as low in the polls as we can.
We have to encourage the questioning of Romney's nomination and electability within the GOP and therefore delegate ranks.
The only thing GOP delegates really care about is kicking Obama out. (The VAST majority of them.)
The delegates in Tampa (non Ron Paul) and Independent voters are as ignorant of what Romney is really like as the man on the street. Fox certainly hasn't told them.

We have to get the information out as to how BAD a candidate Romney is and how BADLY he will lose to Obama if he is nominated.
It is not just the Presidency, GOP will lose tight races in the Senate and the House and hundreds of other seats, all kinds of offices at state and local level, because of their incompetent pick if they choose Romney.

About how Romney is getting creamed and will get creamed some more.
About how Romney is a big government, big deficit, liberal, progressive, pro mandate, pro abortion Democrat and not a Conservative.

Some suggestions on the information to be used are listed here
Plus Romney's official campaign ad from 2002

Mitt Romney has effectively written a suicide note by picking Paul Ryan. Romney has given up on winning (added 08/13)

Florida's reaction to picking Ryan. (Headlines in several local Florida's papers). The Ryan budget plan is going to get a lot of this kind of reaction. (Added 08/13)

Summary of reaction to Ryan pick. Romney is getting killed over it.

Do not mention Ron Paul or link to Daily Paul threads - cut and paste instead. Otherwise they will switch off. They have been told Ron Paul is a nutter.
Stick to Romney is getting creamed and is and ALWAYS has been a Democrat.

If you are asked to name a viable alternative to Romney I suggest this :-
I want someone that would create jobs, cut taxes for all, cut the deficit, stop DC Pork, tackle bank fraud.
Someone that is prolife and does not make $50m from an abortion business, is anti healthcare mandates.
Someone that wants to take America BACK to what made it GREAT. None of this progressive BS.
Do you think that would appeal to Indie's? They are the ones who are going to decide this election.
I think it would, I think it would be a winner against Obama.
Do you know someone like that?

Don't rush to tell them it's Ron Paul - let them stew awhile and hopefully digest.

2.2) Paul Ryan's (now Romney's as well) INSANE budget plan

2.3) Ron Paul poll
Ron Paul is only 2 points behind Obama in polls with no cash and no media support

What I would like added to this Op-ed

WOW that is a remarkable result given the circumstances

Ron Paul only 2 points behind Obama with :-

1) No positive TV exposure

2) Lots of negative exposure or summary dismissal without reference to facts or policies

3) Zero political support
Get a few Senators and Congressman speaking up for him on the Sunday morning political shows etc.
They will have to do that if they are in a tight re-election race - otherwise they are cutting off their own noses to spite their face.

4) Ron Paul got little or no exposure in several states.
He did not have the cash to campaign everywhere.
(E.G. Florida would have been far too expensive, but he would be able to in the national election.)

Minus 2 points would rapidly become plus 6 or so with a bit of cash and support. And then maybe more.

Ron Paul would have to present his policies in the right kind of way to appeal to the general public.
That is why I wrote this.
Ron Paul's case for the Nomination

It would then make a VERY powerful piece.

I wrote a much more detailed analysis of why and how Ron Paul WOULD beat Obama if he managed to be nominated.

The only thing that matters

The only thing that matters is the 2500 delegates in Tampa.....

6 days to Tampa

"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all -- security, comfort, and freedom. When ... the freedom they wished for was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free."

"Fairy tales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten."

I Have Been Shouting As Loud As I Can

Defeat Romney and Paul has the delegates, message, theatre, and support.

This is a two man race, and everybody else on here is trying to make Paul the second choice. We need to make Romney not the first choice.

Paul is not doing anything to increase support that can be capitalized on, but Romney is doing EVERYTHING to decrease support, which can be capitalized on.

Demonstrate with a poll that (1) Republicans are open to a nominee other than Romney, and (2) that they want not him.

1 – How satisfied are you with how Mitt Romney has reacted to the Supreme Court ruling on "Obamacare"? (1) Very satisfied (2) somewhat satisfied (3) dissatisfied (4) very worried
2 – How satisfied are you with how Mitt Romney has reacted to attacks related to his time and record at Bain Capital? (1) Very satisfied (2) somewhat satisfied (3) dissatisfied (4) very worried
3 – Disregarding that Mitt Romney has won the popular vote in a primary process to become the presumptive nominee; who would be your first choice to be the Republican nominee for President in 2012? South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan, or somebody else (alternate order)
4 - Assuming Mitt Romney loses the election this year. Would he be your first choice to nominate in 2016?
5 – If the Republican Party rules allowed, would you prefer that Republican delegates nominate somebody other than Mitt Romney for President at the Republican convention next week? (1) I would prefer our nominee be somebody other than Mitt Romney (2) I am open to the idea of nominating somebody other than Mitt Romney (3) I only want Mitt Romney as our nominee.

The poll can be conducted for $3,250; but must be paid in full by Monday.

This would be both a national story, and demonstrate to delegates that voting for Romney is doing what the electorate wants them to not do.

Don’t Repeat & Replace Obamacare
Repeal & Replace The Presumptive Nominee
Only A Popular Incumbent Will Defeat Mrs. Bill In 2016

A great idea

I would add :-

1) How satisfied are you with Romney's current standing in the polls and show the RCP electoral college maps (a Right of Center site).

Dick Morris outright lied and made up a poll that supposedly said Romney was doing well, but he couldn't even name the polling company.
GOP sucked it up w/o question.
There are NO published polls showing Romney doing well.
All show him losing the electoral college map 332 to 216 and sinking like a stone in national polls.
So give them the national poll averages on RCP.

2) How satisfied are you with Romney's Tax Returns non disclosure and the harm it is doing him with Independents in the polls?

"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all -- security, comfort, and freedom. When ... the freedom they wished for was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free."

An analysis of Paul Ryan's effect on Romney's election chances

added as related thread and ammunition.

AKA a complete demolition of Mitt Romney's election chances written dispassionately from an Independent voter's point of view.

"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all -- security, comfort, and freedom. When ... the freedom they wished for was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free."

What do you think about using that list to spread videos support

supporting the delegate challenges, such as in LA, and OR etc?

Oregon ballots being taken to trunk of car by CD convention chair

Integrity means having to say things that people don't want to hear & especially to say things that the regime doesnt want to hear -RonPaul

I don't think most GOP

care much about election cheating against Ron Paul.

A lot don't care much about using physical violence. After all there is not much of an outcry about killing innocent women, children and babies with drone strikes - as long as they are brown of course.

I might just be a cynic.
But I have talked with over 100 GOP voters (on twitter and financial trading boards).
Fox has brought out the murderous psychopath element in a lot of people.
Hitler also did that in Germany.

Some will respond to what they consider a breach of fair play.
But you have to find them and they are definitely a minority.

"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all -- security, comfort, and freedom. When ... the freedom they wished for was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free."

It's your word against FOX's though and...

FOX is still winning that battle. That is why there is nothing more important than FIRST eroding their trust in FOX. THEN you can talk about how great RP is or how horrible MR is. Until that's accomplished, it's in one ear out the other.

You make a good point

If we can get to Indie's very quickly it will show Romney going down further in the polls.

Persuading GOP that Fox has been lying to them will take longer than we have got.
Unbrainwashing takes longer than 2 weeks.

But we can find triggers to get them slightly awake enough to ask the question :- Do we really want Romney?
And if more than a few hit those triggers, they will wake up a bit more.

If we can just get them looking at poll data and electoral college maps.
Real ones, not made up ones like Dick Morris did a week ago.

Santorum delegates will definitely go for the abortion and mandate items.

A lot of GOP will go for mandates and that Romney is a social progressive Democrat.
Romney's official campaign ad from 2002 is a good one.

I didn't say it was easy to unbrainwash them.
But if we flood the sites with different aspects and topics it WILL have an effect.

But it needs volumes of people posting and volumes of slightly different posts, covering the multitude of topics available.

It needs ACTIVISM.
And a lot of it.

Paul Ryan has given us a multitude of new hit points.
I posted up a couple of cartoons.
The Dems are going to have a field day with Ryan's budget.

It's difficult, but another angle is to get them thinking :- what do you think would appeal to /switch off Indies?
They are the ones that will decide the election. Not GOP voters.

I didn't say it was easy.
It needs a lot of effort from a lot of people.

Are we in it to WIN it?
We CAN do it if we put our backsides into it.

"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all -- security, comfort, and freedom. When ... the freedom they wished for was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free."

Spreading the good word today!

Went shopping to 2 different stores and both cashiers mentioned Romney VP pick and guess what both cashiers and other customers said, they HATE both Romney and Obama!Believe it or not all of them wished Ron Paul was still there.I gave them all info stayed at first store for about an hour talking about the convention in Tampa and of course OUR President Ron Paul, the second store for almost 2 hours! The American people love Ron Paul and they are waking up to this! The other customers standing around smiled as soon as I said Ron Paul is still in it!Please everyone you have to keep spreading the word out about Ron Paul!Everyone needs to get to Tampa and get Ron Paul nominated!Every delegate and alternate needs to get there!By the way the one and only common sense question I used was this and it works everytime!
"How can you vote for a candidate that has never served in our armed forces?"
Bingo!Only one that has served Ron Paul. Then this leads to Michael Schreuer endorsing Ron Paul for President.
Explain video here:
CIA Chief Endorses Ron Paul

I mean come on people where is the common sense of the American people! Why in the world would they endorse a candidate that has never served and let the media tell me that Ron Paul is crazy cause of his Foreign policy!Really????Do not think so!I want my family and friends that is serving this country actually have a Commander n Chief that knows what he is doing!!!!

Great Work IAN!! MODS please front page this. Additional sites for RP Nation to comment at are needed. Go to this site for the top FIFTY conservative spots to post.

SWARM THESE SITES WITH THE GAME PLAN ABOVE. Now is the time patriots! Hammer down! Whoot!

I already post on "conservative sites" atleast once a week.

If its not censored then its just looked at with indignation. I never bring up Ron Paul but gently try to steer people in the right direction. I talk about how the all these personalities talk negatively about the main stream media but at the same they are the main stream media. I tell them to look up real alternative choices. Then I point them to zerohedge, infowars, adamvstheman, max keiser, economic collapse. etc etc...

I don't think you are using the right ammunition

take a look at my suggestions.
They will certainly resonate more with the man on the street, GOP delegates and GOP voters.

Thank you for posting this great piece

Encouraging news, for certain. All you Ron Paul delegates, be encouraged! We are behind you.
