My father-in-law says
That I'm being "brainwashed" by Ron Paul!
Meanwhile he sits in front on Faux ALL DAY!
I thought you all would get a kick out of that.
Anything you want to tell him?
»

I AM being brainwashed...
Since Sept 11, 2001 I was glued to FOX news. I was glued to pretty much all news, to be honest. I bought the whole "give up right against unreasonable searches to be safe" crap.. hook, line, and sinker.
I bought the whole notion that nobody should ever criticize the president... no matter how wrong he is.
All this stuff, I bit so hard on that I didn't think there was any other way to be. If you didn't support the war, you didn't support America. If you didn't support the president, you didn't support the troops.
You get the point.
So I am being brainwashed.
Yes, you read that correctly. I am being brainwashed.
Ron Paul, and a few others... have removed the wool from my eyes, they have removed the dense covering that has come over my brain, and they have begun washing the FILTH that the news and government has covered my brain with.
Btw, my "brainwashing" began long before I ever heard about Ron Paul. I started becoming concerned about our freedoms before Ron Paul. But through Ron Paul, I have learned even more.
So lets keep the brainwashing going!
Members of State delegates who support Dr Paul
Just in my county, the following people are supportive of Dr Paul and many of whom will be going to our state convention as delegates
Doctors
Small Buisness Owners
Military verterans
Civil Engineer
Nulcear Engineer
Labors
Law Enforcement Officers
Teachers
House wives
Computer Techs
Musicians
College students
Christians
Agnostics
Mormons
Atheists
HUMAN BEINGS, Men and women ages from 18 to 65
Very effctive brainwashing for such a divers group. Not as good as Fix News, but amazing nonetheless.

try this on your dad
I had the same issue with my parents--they were getting worried about me. I told my mom to do an experiment for me--turn off Fox and watch the other networks for 10 days. So she watched Olbermann and the other idiots. Now, granted, those guys aren't much better than Fox, but switching over loosened Fox's stronghold and allowed Ron Paul to creep in. My parents now have a Ron Paul yard sign, wear Ron Paul t-shirts, and have a giant Ron Paul sign on their fence. There is hope--I was brainwashed for a long time myself.
Do what I do-
BABY PICTURES. They have the right to broadcast crap to grandma- but I have the right to distract her with pictures of the grandkids while they do: ) and for you teens out there- when dad is watching Bill-o- approach him humbly and say "isnt it time we had the talk about marijuana ? I need you to be my anti-drug dad "
BW'd
Your fatherinlaw is the BW'd one here but....I'm an ex kool-aid drinker myself so we can all fall into the trap!
As a reformed koolaid conservative Vannity watcher and Limpbag listener I can truky relate! He needs to get away from watching the propaganda machines on TV and radio and go cold turky awhile with a sip of Dr Paul medicine at first, and eventually more and more until he's cured!!
semantics
we're not being brainwashed,
our brains are being washed.
big difference.
tell your Pops he's being foxed.
The Truth: Show him pictures of deformed babies from IRAQ!
Deadly DU. Horror of horrors. The war is evil. Show it to him.
You can really judge a man by what he feeds his brain!
How to detox from faux? Show him evidence that faux has an agenda! There's plenty of evidence on YouTube.
I don't know what to think
until Sean Hannity tells me to think it.

It's
easy to be complacent, and lazy to let the news come to you. It's a bad habit, and bad habits are hard to break. You have to gain a good habit, and chase the news. It's harder but you feel better about yourself when it's all said and done.
It's like anything else....That reminds me I need to hit the gym.
Tell Your Father In Law to call me
Email me at fixer44@hotmail.com for my phone # and have him call me. I really feel sorry for him. We are not brainwashed, we are truly concerned about our freedom. I will be very nice to your father in law and I bet you that I can get him to change his thinking. I just need to talk to him. I can't write everything that I would say to him because it is hard to write. Trust me, I have converted people.
maybe he needs to see...

I will be honest...
I used to buy that swill as well, then I woke up. It sucks, life was easier when I did not know how deep the Rabbit Hole goes.
"Victory for liberty! That is our goal, and nothing less. -- Ron Paul, December 17, 2007"
Ron Paul is my President.
Feel the same.
It's easier to be one of the sheeple and take the blue pill. Now that I'm more aware, I wouldn't go back, but really seeing the mess our country is in is difficult.
Maybe our minds were filthy
and in need of a good washing.!!
The Dr. washed my brain from disinformation and propaganda. Now I am a cleaner slate with a cleaner perspective for Liberty!!!

I would go two ways here ...
First , I would say that the older generation apparently do not care anymore about their childrens futures , nor their grandchildren's futures , because they have borrowed trillions of dollars to live a lifestyle they had become accustomed to ..... and they have left the future generations to pay for their extravagance .
You could point out , that that's why younger people are attracted to Ron Paul ... he wants to make the current generation pay on what they borrowed . And he's the only one . The absolute only one who doesn't have 100 billion dollar programs their campaigning for ... but seeks to eliminate already existing programs and pay down debt in this way .
This will attack his father instinct .... ( smile ) .
The next point I would make ... is that the Conservative Party is no longer the conservative party ..... they spend money like their drunk with it . They spend money like it will never end ...
.... and then they slander the only true fiscal conservative in their party , the only voice of reason in the wilderness .... and think nothing of ridiculing one of the few precious men who supported and fought for Ronald Reagan , in his run for the Presidency .
This will attack his sense of pride in the Republican party .... because Ronald Reagan is their hero .
If all else fails .... unplug his battery on election day ..... lol .
Leave him be
talk to people who are more open to hear
no TV challenge
When I first stopped watching TV, I noticed that my view of the world changed. So why not challenge 'em to stop watching the "bube tube" as grandfather called it.
Give him this

Possible solution
Maybe you should show him that google video about faux news?

Brain washed no. But Truth
Brain washed no. But Truth is Addicting.
Ask your father-in-law if he
Ask your father-in-law if he knows how much debt we are all in to the government.
Tell him the facts: each and every single American, even newborns, are in debt to the government to the tune of $175,000. For the average household it is $400,000. That debt is growing.
Back that up with indisputable facts if he does not believe. The comptroller general of the U.S., basically the head accountant of the country, has been saying this very recently. He's been trying to bring the message to the people of this country because the politicians are not facing the issue.
Here's the comptroller general's bio on the Government Accountability Office website: http://gao.gov/cghome/dwbiog.html
Here are two good videos to show your father-in-law:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-16u9x3tfE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdBLjrswEDo
After all that, ask him if he believes that it's fair for the politicians of the generations before us to be so fiscally irresponsible to the generations after them - his kids and his grandkids. We could end up paying for their out of control spending for the rest of our lives.
This is pretty much exactly the reason that I have joined in support for Ron Paul in the past few weeks. I was just like your father-in-law, watching Fox News all the time, even while working. I was an avid and loyal viewer. Now I find myself mad as hell about what our representatives are doing to us and our future.

cleaned
most of america needs a good brain wash by the ideas of liberty
Essential reading primer for Afghanistan
Everyone should read "Taliban" by Ahmed Rashid , I believe he has also released an updated version called "Taliban: Islam, Oil, and the New Great Game in Central Asia". It will knock your socks off.
The other book is called "Ghost Wars: The Secret History of the CIA, Afghanistan, and Bin Laden, from the Soviet Invasion to September 10, 2001" by Steve Coll. Amazing read, complete with information from the CIA operatives who were there on the ground.
If people read and understand the information from books like these, they will feel sick to their stomachs when they hear the neo-cons trying to defend their Middle East and Afghanistan adventures.

Nat'l ID card in May 2008 [no ID card = no travel]
Have him read this:

The economy will crash
people will freeze ,starve and suffer .Then perhaps they'll believe us .
ask him to read what our History textbooks teach us
When I first learned about Ron Paul I heard him mention the word "blowback". This was all new to me so [being type-A and not liking the idea that I was "left in the dark"] I researched the role of the American Government in other countries....starting with the Shaw of Iran and I LEARNED A LOT.
I learned that our government has been manipulating in other countries for decades. I then went and looked in my three teenage children's History textbooks...guess what...not even one mention of the SHAW!
So you see, we have been taught only the things our Government wants us to know. That pisses me off because I feel manipulated and I really don't like that feeling [and without even a kiss!].
Give me all of the facts and allow me to make my own determination. But we are led to believe that they hate us because we are rich and free or because we are Christians. I believed it for a long time because I had no other inclination that there was/could be any other reason.
They had us scared out of our minds...LEVEL RED blah, blah, blah. I admit it...I too WAS scared. I raised an eyebrow when the told everybody to run out and buy duct tape...like that's gonna do anything!
When I heard Ron Paul speak about blowback I already had this nagging suspicion there was more to the story than what the MSM was informing. So I decided I would research a few things and thus the process of: beginning to think for myself.
I have found out that you might not like the skeletons that you find in the closets so be careful if you too decide to go searching....you may not like what you find!
What I have also found out is most Americans could really care less....don't ask, don't tell kinda thing. As long as it doesn't affect them personally or immediately they just don't care......read this:
I believe U.S. foreign policy is designed to confuse the American people and national leaders who are unaware of the Spiritual Hierarchy's plan to "establish an enlightened democracy among the nations of the world."[9] The tragic situation in the Middle East is an excellent example of that strategy. If you analyze the events taking place, they defy logic.

As Hitler's Reich-Marshall
As Hitler's Reich-Marshall Hermann Goering at his trial in Nuremburg after WWII said: "Naturally, the common people don't want war, but after all, it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country."
