Ron Paul Will Not Seek To Be Nominated From The Floor, Because The DELEGATES Seek To Nominate Ron Paul From The Floor.

Jesse Benton's comment, "Dr. Paul will not seek to be nominated from the floor" has stirred a lot confusion among the DPers.

This is understandable, but at the same time EVERYBODY has to remember that the only important thing is to understand that it is the DELEGATES that seek to nominate Ron Paul from the floor.

It is not the job of Ron Paul, but of the delegates. Everything else is distraction. PERIOD!

This is well understood by the highest Up-Voted comments on this thread "Benton: ‘Dr. Paul will not seek to be nominated from the floor.’":

BS!

The campaign will not seek to nominate..more words, the campaign will not help the delegates organize to nominate Ron Paul, thus leaving the delegates to be disorgnaized lone voices in a sea of Romneyites..

Thats a fact.

True

Ron Paul has done absolutely nothing to help out his own supporters here.

Instead he has done everything he can think of to just make them appear "fringe", and to discredit them, pour cold water on them, and sabatoge them.

Ron Paul has been a total no show by his own choice ever since April. This man does not want any Revolution. He prefers conformity to and acceptence of the GOP business-as-usual scripted, teleprompter, puppet-show.

The sad truth is that Ron Paul would hide and refuse to even enter the Convention building, if Mitt Romney mysteriously died and by some miraculous grassroots rebellion he was formally selected as the Nominee.

That's how much he has taken us all for a ride.

Could It Be

That he wanted the nomination but that he just didn't win it and at this time these statements about stealth delegates and bound delegates voting for Ron Paul are simply embarrassing to him. I think that Ron Paul may be ashamed of his Paulbots.

Why?

We all knew that Ron Paul's Campaign faced long odds (for reasons that involved both legal and illegal tactics).

But why just duck and hide, and go out with a whimper?

Why not instead go out with all guns ablazing, and maximize your results, and push the case right until the nominating vote?

What Ron Paul should be embarrased about is not contesting and protesting all the cheating tactics that were used against him (and legitmizing those tactics by keeping mum about it).

And just what would he expect "Paulbots" to do other than pursue using the rules to their advantage if possible? There is no embarrassment in that.

But there is in being a quitter (and walking away from your own supporters).

QUIT COMPLAINING AND DO YOUR JOB

So what if "national" wont help you organize. In all reality, they'll probably DISCOURAGE RP delegates from trying to nominate him.

BUT ITS NOT UP TO NATIONAL OR EVEN RP AT THIS POINT.

Delegates were elected to DO A JOB. They represent their constituent state delegates WHO ELECTED THEM TO DO THAT JOB.

If they don't even bother trying then they are just more slimebag politicians who promise constituents to do one thing BEFORE their election and then don't even bother.

While Ron Paul may be our ideological leader, ITS NOT UP TO HIM OR HIS CAMPAIGN ANYMORE. It's up to the delegates and the people they represent to DO THEIR JOBS THEY WERE ELECTED TO DO.

I wouldn't go that far

but for whatever reason Ron Paul was convinced by some in his campaign to kick it in a lower gear for some type of political gain for his POS son.

If it wasn't for that, Ron Paul would probably be attending rally's right now with 20,000 people at each stop around the country. That alone could have propelled the campaign into the area of "impossible to ignore".

Now is the time to make a

Now is the time to make a hard charge, but he seems to be going paws up allowing the GOP machine to bury his message alive. It's such a shame come this far and then take a dive at the last minute.

Ron Won't admit it but

his withdrawal from the race was a gift to his son

Surprised your comment got so

Surprised your comment got so many likes considering it is FALSE. He has NOT withdrawn! Come on!

Exactly !..we get the kind of gv't we put up with..

What better way for him to be nominated than this way: "by the people"

What if...

He gets nominated from the floor and then "recants" and says, no I do not want to run? Who would be your next best candidate. I mean really, what if he knows full and well the liberty movement is more peaceful without him at the helm, not to mention the potential by being shot by the cabal.

You can "what if" yourself to death, so knock it off.

Delegates are there to do the job their constituent state delegates elected them to do.

They just need to do their jobs.

Quit wringing your hands.

It's a valid question to ask.

It's a valid question to ask. What was the last campaign event Ron Paul has done? The last letter I got from the campaign, signed by Ron Paul, ask me to come to the rally in Tampa where a noted Romney supporter would be speaking.

Now, I understand, in spite of my own opinion of Rand Paul, that Ron Paul doesn't want to ostracize his son for the blatantly premature endorsement of his opponent, but it's wholly inappropriate to have Rand Paul, a Romney 2012 supporter, take the podium in what is likely to be the very last campaign event for Ron Paul 2012. It makes me think that Ron Paul really has compromised his campaign in order to bolster his son's career. I'm a long time supporter of Ron Paul, but I vehemently disapprove of that.

Nominating yourself

Nominating yourself up until recent times was always considered uncouth. Traditionally it's always been someone else that nominates you.

If you believe that you're

If you believe that you're the only candidate that's good for America perhaps you would set aside your delicate sensibilities and ask your supporters to do all they can from the floor to put your name in nomination.

I hope.

I hope that he knows that the delegates already know what to do. I hope that the plurality of delegates from 5 states put forth Ron's name, whether he likes it or not. Too many worked too hard. It's not about him, never has been anyways. Much love to the good doctor, but I'd sure like to see/hear his name put forth for the nomination. I think he would too! So,...

I hope.

If you want RP to be nominated

then the "campaign" is your enemy. But the grassroots pushes onward!

AD in NV

this campaign has turned into

a big bunch of confusing signals.
Why on earth does RP want people to come down to Tampa to hold signs?
They better be going there to make a difference and change that old establishment around.

This is not critical in a negative way - I have always supported since 2007 .... however, so many differing messages coming forth.

If RP just wants another feel good rally - ya, that can be done. Everyone will preach to the choir - everyone will feel good after all said and done. What will it accomplish? Maybe it will continue some to stay on fire and add some to the fold...

You know the media is not going to care - they will pat him on the back and say - wasn't that nice of the GOP to throw a bone to good old Dr Paul by making a controlled/censored video about him. Thank you for your interviews - your supporters brought us good ratings - we never agree with you - now, just go back to your private life, we have a NWO to establish.

That is what needs to be interfered with - exactly that agenda.
Needs to be interrupted and turned around. If not this year - most likely never will.

Going to Tampa for a rally and to hold signs can be done anywhere / anytime. It is not and should not be the reason for anyone going there.

I would like to tell you...

...a short story from Poland. That's because it shocks me how liberty-minded people think the same amazing way in every place in the world.

There is an old man in our country, who has been talking about personal liberty and free market for years. He has never succeeded in politics, but he's the one who has awakened many of us here (including me). He is still a kind of icon for many libertarians / free marketers in Poland.

Once, during interview, a journalist asked him why is he running in the election?

He replied that this is not about election. He said that he really has no business winning. He said that he don't care about it.

At first, it was quite shocking for everyone. But after a few seconds of silence he added:

"My goal is to change your way of thinking. Winning election will be just a consequence."

Keep going. Regards from Poland.

Rewolucja Swiatowa!

The message, just as the problem, is global. We have all been fooled into a false way of life. And it no longer serves this world.

What is the name of the

What is the name of the polish man?

This story...

...is about Janusz Korwin-Mikke. I believe you can find a lot of web sites about him, also in English. He differs from Ron Paul on a few issues (for example death penalty for murderers), but the general message is the same. He talks mostly about how free market works, why socialism / interventionism always fails in the end, what the proper role of government is and many more (abolishing income tax etc.).

Wherever I went, such a man was there. A liberty inspired man.

As I became older, I became aware. Wherever & whenever I traveled, I met such a man. Sometimes I could capture their message in a short story as you have done. Other times I took a bit longer.

That is a great story

I think many people here wish that Ron Paul had been as upfront about this as the old Polish man. People still would have supported him.

But what we are left with now is the feeling we've been lied to. Like a kid who learns that Santa Claus is not real. Ron Paul was never in it to win in the first place.

Many people, including myself, feel hurt and betrayed.

allegory - ˈalɪg(ə)ri/ - noun - 1. a story, poem, or picture which can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral or political one.

Ron Paul has said this at many times in many places.

Perhaps you missed them or perhaps you weren't listening. The old Polish man is saying the same thing, "It's up to you".

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)
