Update: Second Video Added - 71 Year Old Taken To The Ground For Questioning Paul Ryan
Submitted by go213mph on Mon, 08/13/2012 - 19:52As Congressman Paul Ryan cracked a joke about him, Tom Nielsen found himself face down on the floor being handcuffed by police. The 71-year-old retired plumber from Kenosha was thrown to the ground, placed in handcuffs, and arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest after objecting to Ryan’s plans to gut Social Security and Medicare during his congressman’s only public appearance scheduled during the August recess — a $15 Rotary Club luncheon in West Allis on Tuesday.

new law in action
federal restricted grounds and buildings act could get that ' disruption' 10 years on prison. Pretty sick how ryan made that joke and then peiple even found it funny. Some man worried about how hes gonna survive after paying into these programs thinking he'd be able to retire with a livanle social security check, but the government would rather pay defense contractors. I'm not pro welfare, bit you cant rip the rug out from under people.. so he has every right to be pissed.. we all do... and if its a felony to just cause a disruption at a political event, he might as well have socked him in the face, since batterys a much smaller offense anyways.
I'm not too sympathetic.
An outburst in public is one thing, on private property during a private organization's event is something else again. How should a church or theater react if someone began loudly berating pulpit or the stage?
New Hampshire and Ecuador.
Church or theater
aren't obviously places of an event where a politician paid by taxpayers money tryies push his agenda into the people paying him (the taxes + here the 15$).
People have the legitimate right to express their disagreement with a politician, because he is their employee. And they especially have this right when using free speech for such purpose. Abridging of this right in any way is clearly unconstitutional and abridging it using violence is clearly a criminal offense.
If I would see a politician like Ryan to laugh at a voter being subjected to battery and arrest by this politicians bozos for merely using free speech right expressing disagreement - I would not buy an used car from somebody like that, much less vote for somebody like that - a politician which so apparently doesn't understand the basics of the democratical discourse surely doesn't deserve a right to be elected, because although such person maybe has the age to be eligible, the person anyway arguably isn't mature enough to have the eligibility and be cappable of full responsibility in the office if elected.
It is amazing
What "arguments" people can over and over try to justify abridging free speech.
It is nobody's right to use physical violence against somebody just speaking - either in public or private, either in civil or rude manner, either what they say is right or wrong. A person is absolutely untouchable until commiting crime or threatening to do so. To cry is not a crime.
There simply cannot be any democracy until people have this deeply engraved in their minds, because the tyrrany would use violence against all speaking their minds against it whenever sees it fit (and very often does).
In my opinion the bozos throwing the poor old guy on the ground and arresting him should be prosecuted for battery, illegal restraint and illegal imprisonment.
Grow up
This guy was clearly out of line. What exactly did Ryan do that was so wrong? The police took away a man who was verbally bulldozing a civilized event. I do not support Ryan on most issues, but I definitely do not grant martyrdom to any emotionally charged citizen.
trespass?
Looks like they had name tags, which I guess means they paid to be there. Trespass won't stick.
A politician needs to accept public debate at a public event
Ryan could have easily engaged the man to discuss his viewpoint and defuse the situation. Ryan is EMPLOYED by that man and others in the room. Ryan is a SERVENT of the people in that room. Politicians should not expect to be liked by everyone, nor should they be thought of as an elite protected class with the authority to arrest anyone as soon as they speak out with a dissenting opinion.
But this was a private event,
But this was a private event, not a public event.

A politician speaking to people
on political issues is not a private event.
Oh, I guess it's ok
And I guess it will still be ok when they progress from force to tazers then to a bullet in the head of anyone who air's their grievances in their presence.
Isn't that the way a dictatorship works?
Yeah
They are already buying the hundreds of millions of the hollow point rounds for the American taxpayers money, so it is only a question of time they'll try to unfold full-blown dictatorship.
And in my opinion only civil way how to stop their endgame is the legal way using the federal capital crime statutes in the USC 18 Chapter 13 against them using Grand Juries, because the question of civil rights is not a political but legal question in the first place.
Let me know next time you go to speak
And I'll come in and start shouting over you.....wtf?
I'm no Paul Ryan fan but this guy was very rude.
When's the last time you saw saw Dr Paul act like this? As a matter fact, this is the exact behavior usually handed out to Ron Paul that we all despise.
This is what Ron Paul was talking about when he pleaded for decorum.
For Freedom!
The World is my country, all mankind is my brethren, to do good is my religion.
I agree that he was rude ,
I agree that he was rude , however, you can only ignore people for so long before they become angry. That being said there are betters ways to conduct oneself. As far as arresting people, does anyone remember when the Occupy people barged into one of Dr. Paul's speaking events and began shouting? He addressed their concerns and by the end they were agreeing with him. So, this situation could have been handled better by both parties.
Rude
He was also uninformed! Questions about it, have scared a lot of people. Fact is, it will be quickly broke under Obamacare.
A good economist, like Dr Paul, would have been able to explain it. Unless this guy was too rude to allow an answer! Who better to know than Dr Paul and us MDs!
Obama Dem gang
I think the security reacted badly. It is a shame. Mr. Ryan should have doused the shouters by facts and logic. Instead, he overreacted because they knew these people were the Dem gang sent to disturb. So what? No need to trample the 1st amendment unless Ryan doesn't know how to speak out of script.
Watch Rachel Maddox have fun with this stupidity.
As for me, I am writing in Ron Paul.
For the crime of telling the truth, Ron Paul should be sentenced to serve four years in the White House.
Tom Nielsen looks like the real deal
I think he got some courage to speak out when George Soro's plants broke the ice with their socialist rants.
We need to start the "Peoples' Police Force". Uniforms, full gear, vehicles, jailhouse and legal team. The whole shmear to start taking these clowns into custody.
We out number them. We collectively out finance them. And we are certainly smarter and more dedicated.
Question is; Do we have the will and fortitude?

Good or Bad?
Thanks for this thread; but it is very upsetting and sick! Many of the people in the videos need 'an eye for an eye' to 'wake them up' for the harm they do (see guy being tased at Kerry event).
So, after seeing these things, would it be good or bad to have a small army of security and attorneys (and parliamentarians) to protect the rp supporters and equivalent in Tampa?
Can you imagine all the power of the energy of the people congregated in one place to be strong enough to overcome the tyranny, to everyone's delight - even the Romney supporters! And then...it turns into a dictatorship just when it is determined 'the people' have won? Who is gonna be there to fight and protect 'the people' from the wrath of 'TPTB and their LEOS' (the powers that be and their law enforcement officers)?
So, with the whole world watching and hoping the Americans fight for RP and win, is it a good or bad idea to have plain-clothes LEOs for 'the people' (security and attorneys who are willing and able - with the strength, knowledge, and power - to fight, protect, and win)?
I think we need it.
David v. Goliath
Republic v. Dictatorship
Courage v. Tyranny
Unity over fear. Do not abandon your 'brother'.
Prepare to Be Safe. Have Justice Prevail.
Question is: Good or Bad?
(Just asking.)
Any wise, worldly people care to share their thoughts and/or advice?
Thanks.
looked like provocateurs to me
no surprise it is out again.
Land of the Free, huh? It
Land of the Free, huh? It sure doesn't look like it to me. Sometimes I feel that our beloved country has about as much of a chance of surviving this mess as a snowball headed to hell. It is a giant train wreck waiting to happen. We ALL need to try to prepare for this mess that is most assuredly heading our way. Get out of the cities, especially the big ones. Have some land that you can grow food on. Be stocked up on all that you will need to be self-sufficient. And have the means to protect yourselves and your extended families. Farming equipment, seeds, medicine, build yourselves something like a passive solar dwelling with a water supply. Have the tools to purify that water. Buy and get the necessary training on how to use firearms. Stock up on both ammo, a reloading machine, and supplies that include spare parts for your firearms and any other important equipment. Things like brass, powder, primers and bullets. Ammunition is a lot cheaper when you make your own. Rough times are coming. Be prepared. A shotgun is an incredibly versatile tool. It can use such a wide variety of ammo that it can be used to hunt small game to bear. And don't forget the lowly .22 long rifle caliber rifle and spare parts for it. These are very inexpensive. And so is the ammo for it.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men and women to not support Ron Paul!
Wow, This happened on Sept. 6, 2011!
I didn't realize the date until I clicked the link to watch the YT vid! I found the same video in a piece dated 9-9-11 lol, illuminati numbers, (link below). There's NO question that Paul Ryan is a CFR globalist scumbag. Imo, the timing of this raises questions as to motive. And because it comes from provacatuer George Soros and one of his many front organizations, MoveOn.org. I have to ask, "Why, NOW?" and "Who benefits?" from this "news" release. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/09/09/1015119/-Arrests-At...

Microcosm of Tampa
This is a microcosm of what will likely happen in Tampa when someone stands up and questions the nomination of Mittens.
Tampa too is a private affairs business...or so they like to say.
Will all Ron Paul supporters step up to the plate and defend their comrad when this happens in Tampa?
Or will they cower into the corners of their mind and say "old fool" too? and later laugh at Mittens, as he tries to make light of those who oppose him by attempting to be a comedian?
Buck the system, Vote Ron Paul 2012 for Peace, Prosperity, & Liberty.
"...Paul Ryan spoke at a
"...Paul Ryan spoke at a PRIVATE luncheon..."
The vast majority here would express that it is Michael Nordstrom's right to remove ANYONE he wishes from this political site, for ANY REASON he choses, because this is HIS PRIVATE event. Yet Paul Ryan, at his own PRIVATE luncheon, is not wrong to have policemen eject a man for violently interrupting the luncheon? Sorry but Paul Ryan, regardless of what he does in office, has every right to remove this man from a PRIVATE gathering, despite it being of political nature.
If the man wanted to say something he should have tried to do it a little more diplomatically and maybe he would not have been ejected. Little doubt that he KNEW that jumping up and yelling at the top of his voice was going to have the exact result that occurred.

RP is amazing...he had exactly the best prescription for that interruption and related with their grievances like a real citizen not an elitist. RP is the best professor in the world and I am always amazed at how much there is to learn from him even in the smallest nuances. What a lovely person he is and an example to emulate.

That's a leader right there! And that's what being "presidential" really means.
True Role Model!
He always seems to know what to do! :)
Thanks for posting.
It's because Ron Paul does not need to hide his history
Nothing to uncover or protect.
Ryan, like Romney is in constant defense of everything in the past, present and probably the future too.
Exactly. Night and day. Ryan believes in
coercion, RP believes in peace and liberty. Plus phonies like Ryan/Romney/Obama have no confidence in their own lies, they cannot parry challengers. But RP is used to it, his convictions and principles stand up to any challenger and he has no fear of questions. He always has good answers and uses any challenge as an educational opportunity.
