OK, I'm a NYC liberal who reg. as Rep to vote for Ron

Big time liberal who used to believe government could do some good. But our government is so gross that i thing the most important issues are cutting nearly all spending. Then maybe we can build some departments without corporate influence and corruption that do people good. But our government has lost its way on nearly all fronts and is just filled with corruption.

Great video here, 35 minutes into it RFK jr gives a great speech thats 30 minutes long about why it is our gov. and media lost its way. A lot of it stems from reagan getting rid of the fairness doctrine.

Welcome aboard. I'm pro-choice; pro-choice on just about everything. I don't agree with Ron Paul's personal viewpoint on several issues like abortion, but then again, within the proper functions of a President his personal viewpoint should be irrelevant and he knows that. Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are the only 2 candidates that I respect for their integrity, even though I am no fan of Kucinich's economics. We have much bigger issues than abortion and gay marriage to worry about though -- issues that involve the survival of this country, like our collapsing dollar and foreign policy.

and tstorey, i totally agree with you except for one thing. if we want to be nice to the doc we should also be respectful of the official campaign. It's okay to offer constructive criticism, but sometimes people are so invested that they get all emotional. and that's embarrassing.

HQ is Ron Paul's ship... so let's try not to sink it with too much baggage.

If you've read many comments here, you'll notice that a whole lot of people who like RP also like Kucinich. Many of RP supporters are not necessarily traditional/typical republicans.

Kucinich's handgun stance is a big huge stumbling block for me, but I like a lot of other things about him. I think Ron Paul and Kucinich are both very courageous for being willing to stand apart from the other traitors.

I liked the video where Kucinich says something about the eagle having a left wing AND a right wing. (don't have the link)

Many people here have suggested Ron Paul pick Kucinich for VP. Don't know if that would happen, but it would be a good sell:

be more pro-life...for me that means conception to natural death. As much as I want to defend the unborn, I want equally to defend the 20, 30, and 40 somethings. I'm happy to join you in the effort to bring our troops home, out of harm's way, and defending our nation through strength, not force.

As a Libertarian I sometimes feel more aligned with Democrats than Republicans, and sometimes vice versa, but I generally view both parties as different sides of the same coin. I'm so happy to see people leaving the left/right/middle paradigm and hopping on board with FREEDOM!

I also was a registered Democrat until I understood Ron Paul's message.

I now switched to Republican and will vote for him in my state's primary.

I also said and thought that a woman has the right to choose to have an abortion, but after hearing Ron Paul's rationale it sorta changed my feelings towards this sensitive subject.

Basically, the argument isn't whether a woman has the right to choose or not, it's whether having an abortion is considered murder or not.

But to be honest, there are so many other problems that our country is facing that I think makes the entire abortion issue almost irrelevant.

I honestly believe that our "Empire" is about to end because of economic reasons. We're way to over extended and our dollar is dying.

I applaud you for your support of Dr. Paul. I welcome you as part of this new family that is known as the Ron Paul Revolution. I too have set aside my differences, which are very few, aside for this cause. Other than Ron Paul, I only consider Kucinich as a honorable candidate. A small part of me hopes he will be his running mate but some of his domestic policies leave much to be desired. It would be a great sign to see a unity ticket. I won't hold my breathe though. ;(

Every vote in my life has been a protest vote. My conscience doesn't allow me to vote for the "lesser of two evils". To do so is morally corrupt and so unpatriotic that it spits in the face of those who have sacrificed for this right we take for granted.

I am now a Ron Paul Republican. I'm honored to say so.

A couple of things about this website.

It is like a really crowded bar right before the police come....the only problem?...the police never come.

The profile of a daily paul poster is wildly varied. I assure you at some point you will feel like you are on the L train at rush hour.

Keep in mind all of the scuffle has it's heart in the right place. Around here folks don't just want Dr. Paul to win, they want everybody who doesn't want Ron Paul to win...well, I'll leave that to your imagination...you're from New York.

I think we have all had to look beyond some social and moral issues to the bigger ones. National Sovereignty and Freedom. If we ALL lose ALL of our freedom, there will be NO DEBATE or CHOICE for anyone. Period. Not unborn children, not women, not fathers. It will be the bureaucrats and the peasants. The possibility of things changing one way or the other will cease to exist, and so will the United States of America. I would gladly choose all of us having a voice, having a chance to change policies one way or the other, whether I agree or not, over all of these hand picked globalism cronies.

Of course I should mention a lot of Christians think it is the other way around. That if our moral issues go down the tube then we will be handed over to the evil globalists.

But I think if we vote for a man who desires to restore freedom we are fighting both the moral and sovereignty issues at the same time.

The more that you learn about the Philosophy of Liberty, the Federal Reserve Cartel and the IRS, the more you are going LOVE Dr. Ron Paul.
