Rand Paul On Mitt Romney's VP Pick

Here is what Rand Paul had to say about Romney's VP pick.

"The pick of Paul Ryan solidifies the Republican ticket's commitment to taking on the pressing issues like the deficit, entitlement reform and tax reform," Sen. Paul said. "Congressman Ryan's values and commitment to fixing our fiscal mess stands in stark contrast to Vice President Biden - and presents a clear choice to the American people."

According to CA Sec of State, he is

I wrote to CA Sec of State weeks ago asking why they listed Romney as THE nominee.. no answer.

Rand Paul opened his mouth to watrn us that the GOP was going to come after us who are seated by using that layalty oath as a reason to remove us.

Thanks to Rand, we see a much bigger picture than those who didn't even try to get a committee seat, become a delgates but think cheering Ron Paul is all we need to do to win.

wait a minute...

Ron Paul didn't get reelected 11 times?

Isn't Ron Paul THE exception?

There are now hundreds of us thus we are not THE exception.

I think you are making this up

How come Rand is held to this supposed "oath" and Ron is not? They didn't care about Ron Paul, so he got away with it... makes NO sense. What power do they have to enforce this "oath"? Kick him out of the party? They didn't kick Ron out in '08 when he refused to support McCain.

I think you're making this stuff up.

What makes more sense is what Lady Hawk said on this thread:

Rand Paul's "Big Mistake" (See Bottom Sentence)

Submitted by LadyHawk on Wed, 08/15/2012 - 18:36. Permalink

Jacqlyn K. Smith, a friend of a Facebook friend, and a fellow Ron Paul supporter and Liberty Lover who lives in Clark County, Nevada, posted the following after attending a party on August 14, 2012 for the Ron Paul delegates going to Tampa:

"I'm a NV State Delegate and a really good person:D As for Ron NOT wanting to be President... Not true. Cynthia, in our Group of Delegates we got together with at a Washoe County Send-off Party tonite, actually talked to Carol Paul today. She speaks with her regularly, and Ron Paul is NOT throwing in the towel. He is having a big rally in Tampa in fact. Rand is regretting his 'endorsement' which was really tossing his hat in the ring 4 the VP slot... which was a big mistake on his part."

That is much more likely: He wanted a shot at the golden ring. And he missed. Badly. And now he's paying the price.

Sorry you think Im making this up

Here's what Rand says at 47 seconds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOV1yquNIec

He said it was a personal decision

He made it of his own free will, not because of any document he was forced to sign by the GOP.

What I heard at 47 seconds, was that Rand saw his dad getting snubbed politically for his entire career for not endorsing Bush I, Bob Dole or whatever dumb candidate the GOP selected to run for President.

So Rand decided, as a result of a kind of middle-school-esque peer pressure exerted within the GOP, that he didn't want to be snubbed like his dad. He was gonna be a playah. Therefore he decided he would go ahead and endorse - sight unseen - whatever dumb candidate the GOP put up as the nominee.

That dumb candidate - and I think everyone here, including you, Granger, would agree - that dumb candidate, that I doubt you would ever vote for - is Mitt Romney.

Seriously Granger. You're a smart person. Are you going to vote for Mitt? Do you, in your heart of hearts, endorse Mitt Romney for President of the United States?

I don't think you do.

That's not what I heard.

Well, best you sit outside and find out from MSM ben or the other PAID spokesholes for your "reality". Enjoy!!

IF Ron Paul is not the nominee, I'M VOTING GOP FOR Ron Paul REPUBLICANS and whoever the GOP nominates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ron Paul or Mitt... that's where I'm at 100%

What are you? Marginalized? Been there, done that. Not going back.

I don't think you should call yourself a Ron Paul Republican,

just plain Republican if you will vote for Mitt. Ron will not vote for Mitt. He will vote for a Constitution Party or something similar, just like he did in '08.

I can see how you would think that

Being you didn't bother to do what Ron Paul asked ALL of us to do, get a committee seat.

I'll be seated and voting NO on taxes, entitlements and spending/growing the government.

I think you being on a committee seat is not accomplishing much

for Ron Paul. You can vet Mo and Joe and eat donuts at your little meetings, but I don't see much being done except for someone always on DP telling people they aren't any good because they aren't on a committee.

That only exposes your ignorance

Those delegates that were tossed out, were tossed out by committee members who don't want Ron Paul as president. Too many of us did not do what Ron Paul asked and take those committee seats. Now the GOP wnat to eliminate us from our seats, and you are on thier side.

What good are you if you're not on a committee vetting delegates, issues and candidates for your ballot?

How are YOU helping future liberty candidates by working to knock Ron Paul Republicans off their seats for a Republic who put on a LP suit for this election KNOWING he would lose?

Good Morning Granger

Funny how the same Do-nothing-Lawyer4-moles are here throwing around the same BS as always.
They claim to be RP ONLY yet support an agenda that subverts and divides...There are hucksters from Richard Gilbert's little band of merry tricksters asking for donations to go to Tampa LOL!

Yeah...what are these people doing, or have done for the movement, which is the real concept here...whether Dr Paul gets the nomination or not...It's the movement..the RON PAUL REPUBLICANS.

Good example: Jesus died on the cross for us....the Apostles carried the message that has survived to this day.
No where in Human History has the world been influenced so much by one "man".....Ron Paul will be remembered this same way if we abide by his "suggestions".......HALF-MEASURES=NOTHING....IOW,
Half Measures avail us NOTHING.....GO RON PAUL REPUBLICANS!

Hey Now (((((((((Danton))))))))))

Certainly Jesus was the exception.

They remind me of this song because it won't be long http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64zBBtxRCYM

All they will have then is folks like me, ain't life a trip.

Smile smile smile

GRANGER! Could Listen To That

Yeah!.....Gotta go to Jersey..get some RonPaul Beach Towels.

From one: RON PAUL REPUBLICAN to ANOTHER!..a freebie!
Put some leashes on these trolls...I gotta go to NJ now.

So you're voting for Romney?

Do you think Ron Paul is voting for Romney? Do you think - in all honesty - that Rand is? Come on Granger - get REAL.

Politics is one thing. What you say on the outside is quite a different thing than what you believe or what you do.

Were you convinced by Rand's endorsement on Hannity? Was that a rousing, inspiring endorsement? "We've got a lot in common. He's got a family, I have a family. His dad ran for prez., so did mine. Blah blah blah."

Marginalized? Me. No. I'm human, fully awake. Not a robot, and as such I won't let a meaningless pledge, given to a political party determine how I live my life or who I'm going to vote for.

I don't need validation from a political party to tell me what to believe, or how to live my life.

Good luck voting for Romney.

I'm voting for Ron Paul Republican and who ever the GOP nominates.

I think Ron Paul is the exception and since I am not, it doesn't matter to me who Ron Paul votes for. It matter to me that I keep my seat.

What are you doing? Trying to get Obama votes is all I see from you.

I took Rand Paul's endorsement on Hannity (YouTube clip on DP) as a wake up call, a warning, an annoucement that the GOP isn't going to have any more Ron Paul exceptions but do whatever they can to remove Ron Paul Republicans from the seats and offices by any means possible. Interesting how you side with them, offering no support or empathy, but you are clueless and careless about the power of those seats. Shame.

You voting for Obama, by defaluting for a third party candidate that doesn't have any power, just a soap box? You are NOT awake in my book, furthermore, you don't want to be awake.

Thank you for the good luck, I'll need it because unlike a coward like you who didn't even try to get a seat, in the next two years, it's those seated like me you're going need, expecially once GJ loses and leaves you on the human trash heap.

Have a great posting day.

Ron Paul will never endorse or vote for anyone who

advocates going to war with Iran or staying in Afghanistan. Period. Never.

Ron Paul is THE exception

How many times have you read: Ron Paul is the only candidate?

Ron Paul could of solved this

Ron Paul could of solved this rand paul problem? If he just would of worn a condom.

Ron Paul 2016

That's : Could "Have"...

...or could've....your comments are as credible as your grammar.
Must be that blend you're tokin' on.

Good thing

Ron Paul is proud of Rand, and so am I.

That certainly is a stark

That certainly is a stark reminder of why Ron Paul is loved so much. Marginalized? He has been there done that. He went back . . . again and again.

As an exception

Ron Paul was an exception from the beginning. I am not Ron Paul and I am far from an exception with hundreds like me, who are going to hold on to our seats despite the Neocons, and you.

Be careful. You are turning

Be careful. You are turning into an obnoxious person in your efforts to do good.

My comment was to point out that Ron Paul is more than just the message. I don't care to get involved in your petty rants.

I'm not making any effort to do good

My effort is to materialize Ron Paul's message. Some might think that is good, and others would not.

Have a good posting day.

Rand was under no obligation

Rand was under no obligation to support Romney until after the nomination in Tampa.

Raspberries to Rand Paul.

Was Rand Hoping

that Romney would pick him as his running mate? I think so...and now he really looks bad in most peopes eyes! If he could not show loyalty to his own father.....what can we really expect from him.

And as far as an oath to the by-laws.........what by-laws.......the GOP makes them up as they go. Look what they are trying to do to the Ron Paul delegates.

Me thinks you rationalize = telling yourself ratonal lies..... Granger!

You are dead wrong about Ron Paul.....he was not marginalized at the end of the day.....he inspired a mogvement that now has millions and they are young people. Freedom and integrity are his two major qualities. Will you or Rand be able to do what Ron has done?

Going along to get along is exactly what got us into this mess. It just does not cut it any more.

Want to Blame Someone?

..Look in the mirror.
If enough of us "take over" the GOP....

..WE make "The Rules"....it ain't gonna happen overnight.

So..."DIG IN"...it's gonna be a wild ride!

"Beyond the blackened skyline, beyond the smoky rain, dreams never turned to ashes up until.........

I don't agree with you

I think Rand was warning Ron Paul Republicans what the neocons were planning on doing to remove us from our seats if we continued to pummel them with RON PAUL RON PAUL.

Rand only looks bad to those who didn't do what Ron Paul asked ALL of us to do. He's a hero to those who took Ron Paul SERIOUSLY and did what he asked of ALL of us. Of course you didn't do what Ron Paul asked. Why?

What they are doing to the delegates they plan to do to the committee seats and offices and that is what Rand Paul warned us.

Me thinks you didn't do what Ron Paul asked all of us to do, are under the influence of MSM and think the crowd knows what's up.

Ron Paul's lone NO votes did not stop the NWO from the patriot acts, fema camps, drones... he says that he ate lunch by himself for decades... I consider myself marginalized here on DP. Been here much longer than most. Did more than most for the elections.. and I know what it must feel like to be Ron Paul.. who gave me a mission and I'm on it! What are YOU doing?

Elites with a UN Agenda 21 that see over populattion as a real threat to THEIR planet and put a third rail into both parties that have outted liberal and conservatives and gave us neoliberals and neocons got us into this mess.

What are YOU doing to get us out since it's not doing what Ron Paul asked YOU?

Doing nothing doesn't cut it anymore.

But knowing that many of us signed loyalty oaths, and many of us had no freaking clue they would test us and out us, Rand nominated Mitt to wake us up, because if we want to keep those seats we worked so hard for, and didn't bother reading the by-laws, since they might not have given us copies, not knowing how things work, well.. Rand tipped us off. THANKS RAND!!!!
