Response to TMOTSubmitted by dwalters on Wed, 08/15/2012 - 13:18
"You're either with us or against us?"
I think it was George Bush that made that logic famous.
In the video, TMOT, you stated two things that people could do to support Ron Paul in Tampa:
1. The delegates show up and do their part
2. Show up to the Rallies in force
The first is only an option for a few individuals. The second can be participated in by anyone - if they have enough funds to get to Florida. Both of these opportunities to support Ron Paul have a very narrow time window - the last week of August. What should a people do with their free time until then - twiddle their thumbs?
Personally, I've been trying to spread the Message of Liberty in any way I can -
ATTN: To All RNC Delegates - http://www.dailypaul.com/247161/attn-to-all-rnc-delegates
Open Letter to Ron Paul - http://www.dailypaul.com/249037/open-letter-to-ron-paul
Surprisingly I did both and - my skin didn't fall off, my head didn't explode, my toes didn't curl up... I survived. Further, nothing I have said is going to affect either of the two actions you put forth - Whoever planned to go to Tampa, is still going to go. Do you think people would change their plans on short notice because of what I said? If so, you're giving me too much credit.
I am no traitor, sir.
And I will not be categorized by Bushisms - "You're either with us or against us."
Nothing I do currently will change the outcome in Tampa. The stage is already set. So, quit trying to be the judge, jury, and executioner of those that may take a different approach than you.
I wish you the best in Tampa - TMOT. I hope you deliver a well-received speech, and I hope your band plays to the best of its abilities.
But I ask of you - why is it necessary to alienate and categorize others - ever? The logic that you have decided to employ provides only one option for righteousness - your way or no way - with you or against you.
I don't place myself in subservient positions to other men. I have my own mind. I make it up myself. I will continue to do so.
