of Interest to the Lawyers heading to the RNC

Dear State Party Leader:

The Republican National Lawyers Association (RNLA) is delighted to inform you of two very important national events taking place in Florida around the time of the convention. The RNLA would like you and other leaders from your state to join us at these events during this important presidential election year.

The first event is not only for you but your counsels and leading election law lawyers as well. The 2012 National Election Law Seminar will be held on Friday, August 24th (12:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.) and Saturday, August 25th (9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) at the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota. This is the premiere event for election law practitioners. Distinguished guests will include elected officials like Governor Nathan Deal; counsel to leading campaigns and committees, such as Jessica Furst, counsel to the National Republican Congressional Committee, Sean Cairncross, counsel to the National Republican Senatorial Committee and Michael Adams, counsel to the Republican Governors Association; former Federal Election Commission commissioners, such as Hans von Spakovsky; former Department of Justice attorneys, such as J. Christian Adams; current Secretaries of State, such as Colorado’s Scott Gessler; current Attorneys General such as Sam Olens of Georgia; and preeminent Republican election law practitioners such as Allegheny County Council At Large Member Heather Heidelbaugh, Virginia Republican Party Counsel Lee Goodman, Larry Levy and Cleta Mitchell. Up to 11 CLE credit hours for lawyers will be offered, including ethics. Click here to register or read more.

The second event is open to all members of your delegation to the convention. The Lawyers Reception Honoring the Romney Legal Team at the Republican National Convention will be held at Liberty Plaza, across the street from the Convention Hall, on Monday, August 27, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Romney legal team along with members of the House, including National Republican Congressional Committee Chair Pete Sessions and House Oversight and Government Reform Chair Darrell Issa, and members of the Senate will be in attendance. We would like to encourage you to add it to your delegation’s schedule. Because of security concerns RSVP to this event is essential. For further details or if you have any questions, please contact the RNLA at 703-719-6335 or at Alexandra@republicanlawyer.net.
