ABC's The View asked this question on Facebook - My experience on the post is the story

One of my facebook friends commented on The View's facebook page. Curiosity got the best of me so I dove in.

This is the question:

Today Mitt Romney accused President Barack Obama of wanting to slash Medicare to "pay for Obamacare." A spokeswoman for the Obama campaign said the healthcare law did not "cut a single guaranteed Medicare benefit... The truth is that the proposed Romney-Ryan budget would end Medicare as we know it."

Who do you think has the better plan for Medicare's future?

---------------------------------------------------------------------

I was reading comments and just before I gave up on society I noticed one person was posting at an abnormal rate and not responding to anyone else in the "conversation."

So I exposed "Jose Rodriguez" for what he was. An automated facebook account designed to keep people fighting with each other to distract them from reality.

This was one label I was given:

"Tea Bagger Terrorist Romney Supporter who does nothing but spew hate speech."

I did not take the bait. I went to bed....

This morning I posted facts and names of companies that sell this software. I thought maybe this would be worth my time if I could get at least one person to look up from the slop bunk and see some light.

My comment did not last 30 seconds... The View's facebook mods quickly deleted my comment.

My next comment was directed at the mods asking why they would delete my post etc.. It has lasted one hour.

On Facebook, has anyone experienced this type of info control?

If you are curious and have nothing better to do. Go to The View's facebook page and read the drivel. I am not promoting agitation. By any means. Nope. Not me. You people are free to do what you want with this information.

I am serious about your experience. Maybe a great article exposing campaigns using false social media accounts can grow out of your experiences.

Obamacare cuts Medicare by

Obamacare cuts Medicare by about 30 billion/year. These cuts come in "waste", "fraud", as well as in reducing coverage and reducing payments.

The problems' with Obama's cuts include:

The belief that cutting waste and fraud is not as easy as he presumes.
Reducing coverage is obviously not popular
Reducing payments will result in more doctors not accepting medicare.

Paul Ryan's plan cuts Medicare by about 70 billion. This comes from a completely revamped system that will send Medicare to the private sector.

The problems with Ryan's cuts include:

Sending people to the private sector will increase the cost of healthcare to seniors by more than 50%. This is a combination of the government's reduced coverage, as well as higher privatized premiums

Thanks for sharing your experience.

So long as the argument is between the Rep/Dem Authoritarian/NeoCon/power junkies, name calling and playground bullying is all that is possible.

I limit my efforts to trying to awaken people to a better option: rational, principled alternatives offered to replace tyranny.
