Footage Of Michigan Police Shooting Homeless Man Over 30 Times

Three days before Independence Day, Milton Hall died in a fusillade of police gunfire outside a strip mall. He had been arguing with officers in a parking lot next to a shuttered Chinese restaurant when he was shot, in full view of passing motorists and while he was holding some sort of knife. Saginaw County Prosecutor Michael Thomas said later that the squad of police confronting him opened fire "because apparently, at this point in time, he was threatening to assault police." Thomas' office and the Michigan State Police are investigating Hall's death. Saginaw Police Chief Gerald Cliff said Hall was "known to be an assaultive person" with "a long history" of contacts with law enforcement, "not only with police from our department but with the county. You decide...

This was Murder Pure and Simple

There is no other logical explanation.

This is the kind of danger police face every day.

These poor cops, a half dozen of them pointing their guns at this crazed 49-year-old with his back to them. Who can possibly blame them for shooting him once for each of his birthdays when it was so obvious that their very lives were in danger? After all, with all the hours they've spent brushing up on their marksmanship at the police range, they have to take advantage of an opportunity to shoot an actual person down, and this guy was obviously poised to do a Bruce Lee on these cops with that knife of his and they had no choice...no choice at all but to shoot him until they all ran out of bullets...otherwise who knows how many of them would have lost their lives to his skilled knifework?

Smart phones are helping dramatically in our fight.

But the only way this made it to mainstream media is the same reason TSA groping stories are allowed. It's pure "prisoner conditioning", and we are the prisoners.

Welcome to Prison Planet.

I predict that those murderous police officers do not live to die of old age because what goes around, comes around. And when the civil unrest begins (and it most certainly will when a grocery trip costs $300 on average), those guys won't last very long.

Every other police department seems to enjoy using

tasers on anyone at the drop of a hat. So why empty their guns on a man who was not a reasonable threat to them at the time they shot him in the back. Where were their tasers.

A similar video is in the news today where a large contingent of South African police gunned down and killed 18 unarmed striking miners.

Murder is murder, no matter what uniform you wear.

"Bend over and grab your ankles" should be etched in stone at the entrance to every government building and every government office.

thinking...

the same exact thing! they taze people for jay walking or other silly crap but when a tazer would work perfectly (since the guy was pretty much stationary) they decide to just end him completely =[

He said:

"My name is Milton Hall. I called 911." So he was the source of the police presence?

If anyone else in broad daylight were to shoot and kill a man with a knife in similar circumstances then the shooter would be charged with homicide. There was an incident recently where a man had bought a knife and started stabbing people. Another man with a gun confronted the knife wielder and told him to drop the knife or he would shoot him. He dropped the knife.

It is beyond comprehension why the police did not act with similar restraint. Yes one policewoman did shout out drop the knife but it is not clear that Milton Hall heard her since the police were so far from him.

Now they have closed ranks and are justifying what is clearly an unjustifiable act.

The reason for making this public on CNN, a controlled network, is I believe to intimidate the people into not resisting police officers who are being shown to have a licence to kill.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

I, for one, am comforted ...

... that this matter is being investigated by an independent POLICE agency and the Michigan State POLICE. No chance for a conflict of interest there. God help us if the multitude that are still asleep in this country don't wake up soon.

I take my marching orders from the Constitution!

The guy had a KNIFE. Would a taser have been insufficient?

Seriously?

I understand self-defense.

There is no way anyone was in danger of imminent loss of life from the few steps this guy took. None.

Thus this cannot be a justifiable shooting.

Certainly, there is no justification for SIX officers to fire over 40 rounds.

They stood their like an execution squad. This wasn't a gun battle with gang members.

American Terrorists

in blue uniform and a badge and many of them ex murderers continue their murdering in this new profession afterwars.

wow what you just said is so

wow what you just said is so true! Some of these guys dont know anything else that they want to do after they get out. So they join swat teams or black water type stuff. I use to be a Marine and when I was getting out, ppl from these agencies would come and try and recruit me.I just couldnt do it anymore and that was before I was fully awake. Man the military using the hell out of these guys man and when there done, they most likely dont have any education experience, so why not join the police force lol. Its a joke ya'll

I can't believe what i just saw

That is so terrible.

He wasn't some murderer running on the loose who posed an immediate threat.

The police are supposed to be trained how to deal with these individuals and situations. Someone with a knife walking away... fire one bullet and every cop in the area will empty their clips instantly.

Are there only a handful of police officers trained in each department?
And if not available... just gun down person? TERRIBLE

30 shots against a knife??? I

30 shots against a knife??? I remember the days when police would stand for hours trying to talk to the person to put down the weapon. If they had to shoot, seems like using darn tranquilizer darts would be better. This is ridiculous.

I know its commonsense! these

I know its commonsense! these monsters are just trigger happy idiots looking for an excuse to do what they did. Nobody even thought the cops will shoot him dead, ppl were joking on the video and everything! then BAM!!! its sick...

All 6 of these cops deserve

All 6 of these cops deserve to be killed. But, the only way justice will ever be served is if vigilantes start appearing - if people start standing up for each other.

The man was clearly not an immediate danger and could have been easily subdued by a taser.

This was not self defense. It was murder. It was a firing squad.

“If ever a time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.”

What has Hall's "long

What has Hall's "long history" got to do with anything? That means they should have been more cognizant of whom they were dealing with. Instead of apprehending an armed man, who was clearly no threat to the police officers, they executed him without a trial or charge. These police officers are not competent enough or responsible enough to act as law enforcement personnel. What law were they enforcing when they shot down this man? Who were they defending when they shot down this man? People need to fear the actions of these six lethal police officers ...not the rantings of a "pissed off" man in a parking lot.

Every officer whom fired a shot should be put in prison for life

This is a disgusting incident. And demonstrates clearly that poor judgement with weapons should be punishable - police or not.

This incident was nothing short of execution.

If the man had a gun and was pointing it around, maybe one shot to the leg could have subdued him for arrest. This was totally unjustified.

No Wonder...

...D*H*S needs a billion rounds of ammo, cops seem to need LOTS of it.

This just goes to show you what the world would be like if gun control advocates had their way and only police and government had guns.

Unfortunately

Unfortunately according to the Supreme Court case “Graham vs Connor” this appears to meet the circumstances of deadly force based on objective reasonableness. Death is such a waste. So sad.

laws

do not replace or redefine morals or common sense.

life sentence

that was a murder. they should be stripped of their jobs and can split the life sentence among them. How many, 6? 80 years divided by 6 = sentence for each. That's my opinion!

Why the fuck ....

Couldn't one officer have taken control of the situation and just shot the guy in the leg. There was no need to murder Milton Hall by firing squad.

FUCKING COWARDS!

Why did they shoot at all?

Why did they shoot at all? It looked like he was walking away.

Appears the last warning they gave him was regarding the dog..

not "gunfire". This looks horibly wrong on the part of the police regardless of any alleged criminal "history". And 30 to 40 shots?? Disgusting !

Police probably decided not to risk getting the dog killed.

So they just kill the man instead.

We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.

He has a long history? mob mentality anyone?

cops have become mobsters who support themselves and their orders, but see the community as a battlefield and they are troops... we need better cops who care for people knowing full well their salary depends on it....but when taxes are dislocated from socialism and can be financed by fascists with a printing press then we get mobster cops with a wet dream for killing; enforcing order over law

Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right. -Henry Ford

Their official excuse was

Their official excuse was that he had "a long history?" wow.

What does his 'long history' have to do with how this particular

incident was handled? If he had no priors, would they have tried mace first? If he was a boy scout, would they have stopped at 6 gunshots? Did his 'long history' not with just the city, but also the county involve knife throwing which led the 6 officers to believe that shooting at his legs from 10 yards would have been ineffective? This was overkill and im glad its on cell video which doesnt lie.

This is so sad

All those police should be locked up for LIFE!!! Absolutely no reason to all open fire like that. The militarization of police is a very bad thing. All this violence and wars are programming people to do these things. It was disgusting seeing the police chief saying what he did justifying the killing.
