Romney/Ryan are closer to Stalin than Obama

http://ian56.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/romneyryan-are-closer-to...

This is a comparison with Stalin's actions not his supposed ideology.
Actions speak louder than words.

1) Rich elites
Stalin supported a small number of rich elites. In Russia these were the Politburo members and senior Communist Party officials.
Romney/Ryan support themselves, their donors, corrupt members of Congress and senior Republican officials/members.

2) The poor
Stalin kept the poor disenfranchised and poor.
Any wealth was transferred into Communist Party coffers.

Romney/Ryan want to raise taxes on the poor and cut taxes for the rich.

3) Empire building
Stalin wanted to build a great empire and spread communism throughout the world.
Stalin set about regime change in various countries by inserting communist agents to stir dissent.

Romney/Ryan want to build an empire of their own. The US already has 1100 bases in 130 countries.
Romney/Ryan want to increase military resources still further.

4) Military spending
Stalin spent far too much as a proportion of the economy on the military.
The rest of the economy suffered as a result.
The USSR eventually went bankrupt from a poor economic model that favored special interests, far too high military spending and strategic overstretch.

Romney/Ryan plan to spend FAR MORE than Stalin on the military as a proportion of the economy.
The Ryan plan proposes spending 100% of GDP on the military.
The Romney plan proposes to spend 110% plus of GDP on the military.
Romney/Ryan favor a flawed economic model, the favor of special interests above those of the ordinary consumer and taxpayer.

The proposed levels of US military spending are over DOUBLE that at the height of the cold war.
Who was the largest strategic threat, the USSR or Iran?

5) Subsidizing their own
Stalin kept Communist Party officials on board by offering various subsidies and special treatment.
The opposite if anyone upset him (he usually had them killed).
He was the same as a medieval King with his nobles. Medieval kings distributed favors, monopolies, land etc. and took them away if a noble upset them (sometimes he killed them).

Romney/Ryan will subsidize their own. (Themselves, large donors and senior Republicans.)
E.G.
By non prosecution of large banks for fraud.

By offering $45bn of subsidies to large oil companies. (This is probably why the Koch brothers are supporting Romney/Ryan. Ryan also has interests in oil.)

By continuing national Healthcare mandates.
Mike Leavitt, Romney's head of transition makes money from healthcare exchanges which make money from healthcare mandates. The Ryan family make money from healthcare insurance.

By having astronomical levels of military spending to spend taxpayer money on weapons and contractors, like drones, cruise missiles, bunker busters, blackwater "contractors" (blackwater have changed their name but they are the same company).

6) Civil rights
There were no civil rights is Stalin's Russia.
Stalin operated indefinite detention without access to lawyers.
Russian troops could freely operate on city streets to quell any dissent.
Communist Party officials were above the law.

Romney/Ryan advocate indefinite detention without access to lawyers. Romney said he would have signed NDAA as written.
Large corporations who donate and large donors are above the law.
E.G. Romney/Ryan have made no outcry about Holder's lack of prosecution, this week, of Goldman Sachs for blatant lying to Congress about fraud.
They have made no outcry over the lack of prosecution of Joe Corzine over the transfer of $1.5 trillion of client segregated funds to JP Morgan. Joe Corzine was a major bundler for Obama.

NDAA repealed Posse Comitatus, allowing US troops to operate freely on the streets of American cities.

7) Free Press
Stalin kept a tight control of the media and press. There was no free press.

Romney/Ryan seek to ensure there is no debate in Tampa.
They try and ensure there is no real debate on Fox News.
Karl Rove tried to get Fox to ban a certain individual from appearing (he did not succeed in this case).
Fox website articles very rarely have comments. They do NOT want any public opinion, they want to dictate public opinion (unlike say Huffington Post or websites for major papers that do have comments beneath articles).
All comments made by Romney/Ryan (and Obama) have to be pre-authorised before appearing in the press. (Otherwise the journalist risks losing their credentials to follow the Romney/Ryan campaign.)

The American mainstream media is not free.
It is controlled and force fed by both political parties and six large corporate interests.

Conclusion
Romney/Ryan are far closer to Stalin than they are to Reagan.
Romney/Ryan are closer than OBAMA to Stalin.

A few on here do get it

Someone posted a comment to one of my threads

"that's it, put it in a way that Romneybots want to hear but don't move off message"

He/she got it.
Most on here don't.

"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all -- security, comfort, and freedom. When ... the freedom they wished for was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free."

Thinking of giving it up on here

GOP have trouble not thinking like GOP.
They have trouble thinking like Indie's, who are the ones that will decide the election.
That is why they think that the Ryan pick was great.
The RNC have picked a candidate, that the Indie's will HATE, GOP intensely DISLIKE and Dems LOVE (because it hands them the election).

Dems are having a field day with Romney/Ryan despite the state of the economy and high unemployment. They LOVE Romney/Ryan.

Too many Libertarians on here cannot think other than Libertarian and cannot think like ordinary voters.
You have to think like GOP, Indie AND Dem at different points in time if you are to persuade. You have to put yourself in their shoes.
You have to be able to look from the other side of the fence, if you are going to be able to persuade the majority of people.
And the great majority on here seem to be incapable of doing that simple thing.

The great majority on here are just like GOP and Dems in many ways.
Blinkered with tunnel vision who cannot see how and what others are thinking and don't want to try and understand why other people think like they do.
And if you cannot do that, we have already lost the nomination.

"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all -- security, comfort, and freedom. When ... the freedom they wished for was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free."

Comparing Leaders to Stalin?

The fact that we are comparing leaders to Stalin should be alarming...wake up the people!

Personally, after all the EO's signed by Obama in the last 4 years, it scares me to think of what he might do when umbridled by re-election in the next 4.

Godspeed Dr. Paul to the White House! May Liberty prevail!

bs.... Obama does the same

bs.... Obama does the same exact things.. there is NO difference between the 2.

You and I know

that it is BS and spin and that Romney and Obama are one and the same.
Still Romney/Ryan are worse on the above points.

Do you think Indie's think that Romney/Ryan are more into subsidizing rich elites?
Do you think Indie's think that Romney/Ryan are more into neglecting the poor?
Do you think Indie's think that Romney/Ryan are more into Empire building and military spending than Obama?

Do I think that Libertarians will never get elected in a million years if they don't talk the language of ordinary voters?

Do I think sarcastic comments like yours and that general attitude are one of the major reasons we are not in a better position to get Ron Paul elected?
