The tea party is sh-t now, anyway and I'd rather Ron Paul not be associated with it!

Notice who's missing?
These frauds are not for freedom,
Might as well change the name to the neocon party.

I AGREE!

it was co-opted a short time after Neocons saw it was a popular movement started by Dr. Paul's followers .... they added right wing power brokers to the mix and changed the message to suit their adgenda and ended up with allot of racist, war mongering, fox news watchin', patriot act believin', make Israel the 51st state thinkin' - idiots.

They will never equal our substance

On December 16, 2007 Ron Paul supporters marched, and gathered for discourse appropriate to a true "Tea Party", a rejection of the status quo. We chose the 'Boston Tea Party' and the Gadsen flag to symbolize our spirit and our goals. We focused on the necessity of following the Constitution in order to restore a small, fiscally responsible government, and the maximum liberty envisioned by the founding fathers. This took place in cities all over the country, while money was raised online for Ron Paul's campaign. It was much more than a fundraiser - it was the embodiment of a new movement. We are the originators.

AND THUS SHALL IT EVER BE.

I get embarrassed when they link Ron Paul with the tea party.

When tea party is mentioned, thoughts of what it originally was representing when Ron Paul encouraged it and to now what is is with Michelle Bachmann and Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. It sickens me and I don't like his name being mentioned in the same breath with it.

Trump?

Seriously, Trump as a leader of the tea party? Ah well.

Why of course!

He has something BIG planned! He said he won't be speaking, but the RNC and Mitt have something BIG planned for him!

Your attitude stinks. Oh, so the Neocons are coopting the Tea Party, so, Ron Paul and we his supporters should just surrender it over to them.

True dat

However,
When a ship that's foundation was built by us, and finished by these neocons who are now sailing it, and we have another ship called the Ron Paul movement, why not just get on the Ron Paul ship..
I don't know if that made sense to you, but it did to me.

The only way a "Ron Paul Movement"

would catch steam after 2012 in future elections is if Ron Paul wins in Tampa and becomes president. The idea is to continue bringing people over to Ron Paul's Movement. If Ron Paul is not the Republican nominee this year, that means in 2014, 2016, and 2018, we're going to need to win voters over to Ron Paul candidates who didn't vote for Ron Paul in 2012. If we try to bring them into the "Ron Paul Movement", most of them won't be interested. However, under the auspices of the Tea Party, we can get them to vote for Ron Paul candidates. As the former Santorum, Gingrich, Romney, et al. supporters get involved in the campaigns and vote for Liberty (Tea Party) candidates, many will come to see that Ron Paul was right all along.

We will be much more successful at the ballot box purifying the Tea Party than trying to break off in which case we will be marginalized right out of the GOP.

The Vinegar Party

The mistake you made..

...is you were too willing to give up the name. I fight for it, I correct people, I lead them to Jason Rink's book "Ron Paul, Father of the Tea Party".

People know who those neocons are.

NO one ever heard of tea party action dot com. LOL
