Note: If we want to pay the teachers...well, I guess I can justify that, but they should be paid to help students UN-LEARN all the crap I was "taught" in Schuel.

President Obama has proposed a plan that would prevent teacher layoffs, invest in comprehensive reform and strengthen public education. The President’s plan would provide $25 billion to prevent layoffs and support hundreds of thousands of teacher and other education jobs.

How about instead of teacher layoffs
taking a close look at WHERE THE MONEY IS GOING. Schools might cut administrative costs - jobs such as maybe New York's $25-35/hour temporary secretaries (retired secretaries enjoying nice pensions) to answer phones and file when regular staff is out sick, taking vacation days, etc. Or maybe foregoing stadium lights right out of The Natural for nighttime baseball practice. Or maybe scrutinizing union involvement some? Don't miss THE CARTEL, bearing in mind that New Jersey was just a case study - just one example of what is happening across our nation.
