Judge Napolitano on the 2012 Election, Obamacare, and The Future of Liberty

Reason Magazine's Matt Welch sat down with Napolitano at FreedomFest 2012 and discussed the ramifications of the Supreme Court's ruling on the individual mandate and whether or not there's a substantive difference between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney from a libertarian perspective.

The Judge may mean well

The Judge may mean well however he is stuck in a lawyers brain and can't get out. I would only vote for someone who held the similar ideas and understanding as I have. The true roll of government is, as the good doctor has states over and over again, “to protect our liberty”. Romney, bless his little pointed head, does not share my understanding of the roll of government so one of us is off track notwithstanding I can't vote for a novice or a lair. He either is very naive or is a crook. In either case he can't get my vote. Wake up Judge and vote intelligently and with integrity forget about the lesser of two evils.

The Thing

Is before Obama was elected. He told us lots of things we liked and said he was going to do but never did & lied. What makes people think Romney won't do the same? Romney could end up getting elected & end up doing the same stuff stuff Obama is doing. What if Romney got elected and he started flying drones and killing people. After all, he agrees with the NDAA.

September 11 anniversary

The anniversary is coming up and I just saw this video, which I had never seen before. Found it interesting, please tell me your opinion.

It's best to start with the simplest things

Have someone look at footage or even photos of the towers as they were "falling".

Ask them if it looks like melting and falling down, or if it looks like explosions and disintegration.

If they say explosions..... then they disagree with the government story and they are officially a "whacko". After that they are on their own to investigate further.

If they say it looks like melting..... then I'd advise them to get their eyes checked and leave them alone. No need to waste your breath. There are none so blind as they who will not see.

Thomas Jefferson: “Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever."

Viva La Revolucion!

Judge... you're wrong...

... Bush, McCain and Romney would have no compunction when it comes to assassinating US citizens. I'm surprised at his naiveté.

In addition, I think he is aiding and abetting the cause of the neo-cons when he focuses on the appointment of US judges. This is their strategy: (1) to convince the war-vangelicals, they lie about threats to the US and Israel's security; (2) to convince the evangelicals who can't see that war is not pro life, they lie about Romney's (pseudo) pro-life stance; (3) if (1) and (2) don't work, they focus on the appointment of Supreme Court judges.

I think the judge has been at Fox for too long.

I saw an interview several

I saw an interview several years back of Ralph Nader given to Cspan about third parties in presidential races and he stated that historically elected presidents have adopted major parts of third party platforms to so called “ appease the masses” . He gave as an example FDR adopting the socialist agenda after the Socialist Party won 30% of the popular vote. Voting our principles is never a wasted vote.

When we look at the SC

When we look at the SC decision on Obamacare in a historical perspective it make perfect sense. What is missing from almost all legal education is the understanding of the organic laws namely “An Ordinance for the Government of the Territory of the United States, North-West of the River Ohio” commonly know as the Northwest Ordinance. This act is one of the organic laws along with the Deceleration of Independence, Constitution, and Articles of Confederation. It has been referred to in many SC decisions in the past restating the powers of the Congress in all territories and districts owned by the United States. Anyone who resides in a federal district is subject to the whims of the Congress or unless State laws are claimed and applied. The Congress has not hesitated in the past to exercise “general and plenary powers” over the residences of the federal districts and territories. The main solution to Obamacae is “nullification”. This is State inhabitants regaining their rights as State Citizens and rejecting being classified as a “district or territorial” resident.

Paul / Napolitano

I can't help but think how much these guys would absolutely destroy Obama-Biden in a debate!

and after winning the election, having Ben Swann as Press Secretary would be the icing on the cake.

"It’s not pessimistic, brother, because this is the blues. We are blues people. The blues aren’t pessimistic. We’re prisoners of hope but we tell the truth and the truth is dark. That’s different." ~CW

This is really good!
