Proof Ron Paul is Winning

I've seen some people here question whether Ron Paul was ever in this thing to win it.

I have no doubt in my mind that he is and always has been campaigning to win.

But what he's trying to win is much greater than executive power. He's trying to win a battle of ideas. He's campaigning to reshape the thinking of the electorate (and anyone else who'll listen) of this generation and generations to come.

Guess what. It's working. Here's anecdotal evidence (recorded an hour ago on my phone):

I know he's changed my thinking, and that's going to impact the thinking of my children and (hopefully) their children.

My wife and I can't be the only ones teaching our children the principles of liberty.

Stay vigilant. The world will not end if Ron Paul does not become president. Indeed, it can become a much better place if we follow Paul's example by continuing to study and share the principles of liberty with anyone who'll listen.

If, over a few decades, one man can change the minds of so many, think of the impact all of his current supporters can have over the next few decades.

That made my day and put a smile on my face :)

best video ever.

Posting on FB. Kids love Ron Paul.

The painful lesson of this

The painful lesson of this campaign is that even with a perfect message, a perfect candidate, a huge grassroots movement, a failing economy, and the threat of new wars - elections and the electorate have been deemed irrelevant in an airtight system of control. There won't be a next time.

They may have beaten you down already.

But they have NOT beaten the Liberty movement. Hell, we are JUST getting started. We're so much farther along than in 2008, the Statists are shooting themselves in both feet, there will be a next time and beyond. Just keep the love in r3VOLution, that is the key.

There is always a next time.

Cheer up man, you get to fight the status quo for the rest of your life. Stay vigilant my friend.

How do you propose to stop the movement fracturing?

There is no natural successor that could project onto the national stage.
Judge Napolitano is the only one I could think of, that might be able to perform this role and unite.
But he does not appear to be interested in performing such a role.
There are a couple of long shot candidates.

And don't say to me - we don't need a leader we will do it ourselves.
Because I am sorry - that just is not going to happen.
Unless some kind of leadership is established after Ron, my fear is that the movement will wither on the vine.

There have already been contentious issues (e.g. Rand Paul and Jesse Benton).
But this is how movements like this are fractured by the powers that be.
Divide and conquer, sow dissension, distract and deflect.
Infiltrate the upper echelons.
Classic stuff to counter movements that are deemed to be against the current governments best interests.

There is a tsunami of economic woes about to hit America's shores from Europe.
They can take advantage of this by saying something like, the public safety needs more draconian laws, the economic crisis needs a strong leader.
The situation in America in 4 years time will not be dissimilar to how Hitler rose to power.
Have you thought about that?

"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all -- security, comfort, and freedom. When ... the freedom they wished for was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free."

The glue of the movement should be beliefs, not a man.

If the whole thing falls appart because Ron isn't there to keep it together, then a lot of people missed the point.

However, if people in the movement understand what Paul's been saying, it should continue to grow without him.

If people really get it, then Paul could endorse Romney tonight and it shouldn't stop the growth of the movement.

I think one of the biggest things that trips people up in this movement is an overemphasis on purity and consistency in a politician. I love those things about Paul. I think it is wonderful that he is that way. It makes him a very admirable man. However, there is very little hope for the future if we have to rely on putting principled men in charge of running the country. There is a lot more hope in educating the masses about the principles of liberty. If we can do that, even the most weaselly politicians will vote they way we want if they want to get/stay elected.

As much as I love Paul, I'd rather have a congress full of weaselly politicians who vote for liberty under public pressure than a few ideologically pure and consistent Pauls who can't pass good (or stop bad) legislation.

I feel the same way! we need

I feel the same way! we need someone to step up and educate the masses, I would love the Judge man! if Ron Paul doesnt win, idk who's gonna step up.Idk

Expect Tom Woods to take the helm, instead..

And then there will be many we see like Justin Amash proving they are the next leaders of the movement.

You are the next Leader

There is no one who is going to come along and save things. Become your own leader, in any way you can. Don't wait for permission, don't wait for someone to come along. There is no super hero, no one to save the day. YOU MUST DO IT. If there is one thing I have learned, it is to do what I think is right and ignore anyone telling me to stop.

When we asked the Ron Paul campaign to fire their State Coordinator in Oklahoma, we didn't know what we had unleashed. We now have hundreds of leaders, who don't ask anyone what they should do, how they should do it, or when - they just do what needs to be done. WE HAVE DECENTRALIZED THE MOVEMENT HERE. Nobody is in charge - we are each our own boss.

Put into practice the ideas of pushing power to the lowest level - especially and including your group and campaign structures - and you will be amazed at what happens.

The Revolution is a decentralized one.

Steve, thank you, again, for

Steve, thank you, again, for being the voice of reason! You voiced very thoughts running through my head when I read some of these responses to a fantastic post.

If we have an organization with a leader, we will be infiltrated and destroyed from within. It is what TPTB do best, look at how they foment revolutions in governments of other nations they have targeted. They will attack our movement in the same way. So,constant, persistant, disorganized, independent action with no central organization is the only way to win. We all have the same goals and choose our own actions toward that goal on our own.

Whack a Mole, on a grand scale, comes to mind...

If my need to be RIGHT is greater than my desire for TRUTH, then I will not recognize it when it arrives ~ Libertybelle

And every time somebody tries to centralize power, we end up with trouble. Just look at the Ron Paul campaign. We all have stories of them trying to sabotage Dr. Pauls chances of winning.
Liberty starts with YOU and ME.

Haven't logged on in a month

Haven't logged on in a month because of all the discourse and stupid arguments. This is the first real message of Dr. Paul's true victory that I have heard so far. We are winning the real battle, by promoting the ideas of liberty and personal responsibility. This is the real victory, the spread of the idea of Freedom. As long as this is in the minds of Dr. Paul's followers, we will win!

Ron Paul for FREEDOM!!!

Agreed... Ron Paul will be

Agreed... Ron Paul will be speaking at conventions for at least the next hundred years.

He hasn't been running a presidential campaign for 30 years. He's been trying to teach his ideas, and at this point I think he's really happy about his success in getting people to understand.
