Correlation Between the RP Rally, Paul Fest, LPAC & LibertyFest NYC

Long story short…
Few years back I meet with John Tate & Campaign for Liberty about an idea to have a major Liberty event in New York City. I’m basically told, raise $20,000 and then maybe we’ll help.

Fast forward to September 2011. It’s the second installment of LibertyFest NYC, the event I wanted to work with Campaign for Liberty on. Instead C4L has their own event that same week, “LPAC” in Reno.

LibertyFest NYC is a success with over 700 people attending. Later that week Campaign for Liberty’s “LPAC 2011″ starts. Ron Paul & a list of celebrities are speaking. Over 700 people attend. Roughly the same amount.

We (a grassroots team working on LibertyFest NYC) had maybe a tenth of the resources C4L had for LPAC2011, and yet same outcome?

Now imagine if the higher-ups who run C4L had just been willing to work with the “crazy” grassroots. Just imagine the potential, of a major liberty event in New York City, with our skills combined. Could have been epic.

Fast forward to August, 2012. P.A.U.L. Fest organizers (cont.)

FEC laws

It's really difficult legally for political groups to participate in co-operate events nowadays. State and Federal election laws are more often than not the primary factor for groups when they make these kind of decisions. You have to be very careful or you can unknowingly find yourself in serious legal troubles.

Fancy Shmancy Fine Print:

Why do you have to be 18 or older to attend LibertyFest NYC? :(

NYC Venues tend to be strict when alcohol is being served.

Because Illuminati might try to infiltrate ourminds!!

///the ever present dangerous thoughts of the teenager. We might you know, incite a revolt against unjust government, and that wouldnt be good!

Oath of Freedom
for the True north, strong & free!

I heard delegates should not go to one of the rallies because

it ends or is taking place right when stuff is getting started on floor and security will be searching all the people coming in late. They want Paul delegates there to show support for Dr. Paul.

It is what most of us would like to have seen:

one true, unified effort by all factions to really experience and demonstrate our strength and numbers. The Rally for the Republic came closer to that in 2008 and a unified event this time could have swamped that.

But to be fair to the Campaign, they are hedged in by a plethora of legal issues in this horrid culture of litigation, unjust courts, and a corrupt GOP plus a far worse police state.

And the choice to run for RNC nomination has its load of limiting considerations. I do think the Campaign could/should have been more inclusive and communicative with the grassroots, but again the RNC albatross is very limiting. by hindsight a mistake, if it turns out unsuccessful.

The thing is, nobody knows even today how the end will play out. The many backseat drivers and 2nd guessers who have dropped out and intentionally litter the path of those still "in for the win" have taken perhaps the biggest toll of all.
