Big 3 Networks Limit RNC Coverage

To 1 hour a night! Hmmm....

ABC, NBC, and CBS will only air 1 hour of coverage per evening from 10:00 pm to 11:00 pm eastern. Heard that on the radio this morning from a local CBS affiliate.

Why only a single hour? And why so darn late at night?

I would expect at least 2 hours of coverage, from 8-10 pm - but the Big 3 don't want to put the RNC on prime time television.

What are they afraid of? Bad ratings?

what grips me most of all is

what grips me most of all is Romney got to speak at convention in 2008 when McCain/Palin were in the position he is in now.

in 2004 the remaining people in the race get to speak at the national convention also?

Why not Dr. Paul? Is this the first time in history that this has taken place were they did not allow a candidate for President still in the race NOT SPEAK?

I bet it is...

Ben Swan, what shall you say?

Romney got to speak at the 2008 convention...

because he was promised the nomination in 2012 should McCain lose.

Minnesota Mary

control reasons

I'm sure he was asked, but turned them down because they wanted the speech to be editted. Paul will tell the truth on Sunday at his rally. How many outlets will televise the rally?

Ron Paul 2012; Rand Paul 2016

Not being totally in control

The RNC is scared S***LESS that they wont be able to control EVERY single thing that happens, especially when broadcast on live television. So what better way to start damage control by limiting peoples over all exposure the reality?

you bet

you bet they are.. Romney wants to protray an undivided party to the nation in this convention. The nation needs to know that we are a divided party and that we shouldn't allow criminals run our nation any longer. We would have a much bigger hand if we blockade the convention for those 4 days. We will enough in Tampa because of PaulFest and the PaulRally he's holding to do it. If the delegates don't hold a convention, they don't have a nominee. That too is in the rules. And it has to occur at the appointed place which is the Tampa Florida convention center, if they can't finish/hold it inside, they will be forced into the parking lot otherwise its not a legitimate convention, and if its in the parking lot where all the PaulFest people can participate verbally, our voices will be heard. The call to be respectful of the rules of the convention include all of the rules.

It sounds extreme I know but the cause of freedom and the future of our nation are at stake.

genius, non-violent solution!

genius, non-violent solution!

Does anyone know how much air time they've given these

in previous election years?

Honest question here. Clearly, they don't want to give RP any publicity but if their primary concern is making money, I don't think the RNC appeals to enough folks to have the networks forego showing the circuses part of bread and circuses, like they normally do.

The weak spot in the constitution is that the founders never foresaw a day when people would just let their own children's future be taken from them because they were more concerned with what some celebrity is eating for dinner. I hope we're not at that point yet, but we must be close.

On that note, I'm off to go obsess about the centrifugal bumble-puppy.

I wouldn't want to broadcast

I wouldn't want to broadcast that garbage either!

I guess our delegates need to

I guess our delegates need to stick around at night for the cameras to turn on.
FRACK the MSM

nope.

It will be recorded and edited. Any evidence of support for Ron Paul will be edited out.

whole fruit

According to the list of what's allowed inside the GOP convention,
they're scared of whole fruit.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.

They are afraid of people...

...catching any of the truth and are probably already nervous something getting on the air that they don't want anyone else to see...like the possible abuse of Ron Paul supporters. I can just bet they will "create" something regardless...that's their style.

they're afraid of televising

one hell ofa azzwhoopin being conferred upon one mitty O Robsme by one
Dr. Paul ! my take on it !

They are afraid that Ron Paul and the supporters are going
