Vote Yes on Prop 34! Repeal the Death Penalty in California!

Not to take away from the RNC; but there was the Pakistan story up, and I was about to comment in it about how bad it was, but then realizing how nice it has been seeing positive stories on here today I decided to just push the positive activist angle and bump Prop 34 in California that will end the Death Penalty:

I'll vote to repeal it ONLY if a provision remains

For bankers, politicians, and serial killers.

In other words, pretty much all the same kind of people.

Fight the Ron Paul blackout on the Daily Paul (now 'P AU L'), put his removed poster back as your avatar:

Just curious...

Just curious, how many people here that are against the death penalty would change their minds if their spouse and children were kidnapped, horribly tortured and murdered? I already know my answer.

I'm curious

how many who support the death penalty would change their mind if a loved one was wrongfully convicted of a murder and sentenced to death.

I am really, really curious...

I am really, really curious if people realize that they are far, far more likely to be a victim of a serious violent crime than they are to be wrongfully convicted of murder and sentenced to death.
Of course we could eliminate the criminal justice system and all jails until we get them 100% perfect to prevent the chance of just one person getting wrongfully convicted.
Or... we could continue to find ways to improve the accuracy of the system... kinda like what we are doing now until we approach getting it perfect. Everything is a work in process, as long as we have humans we will have human error, it's the way life is, deal with it.

Ron Paul supports ending the death penalty, because of it's racism and corruption. Downvote Ron Paul while you're at it...

A vote for the death penalty is a vote for state power

Every single power that people have entrusted to the state, it has abused. The death penalty is no different.

I used to be for the death penalty but recently I have thought about it more and changed my mind on it.

I Was For the Death Penalty Until I Listen to Liberty Defined by

our good Doctor Ron Paul. ( : Dr. Paul points out that with DNA now, innocent people have been released. Many, many more can and will be released if we do away with the death penalty.
