Ron Paul Campaign Strikes Deal with RNC to Seat Delegates

Tampa, Florida (CNN) – A stand off between Ron Paul supporters and the Republican National Committee over convention delegates appears to be easing, and both sides are close to announcing a deal that could help avoid a potentially embarrassing moment for Mitt Romney on the day he receives the GOP presidential nomination.

The deal, which is expected to be announced Tuesday afternoon, will seat more Paul delegates at next week's Republican National Convention, an act that could help prevent an organized effort by Paul supporters to try and bring Monday's opening session to a grinding halt.

Dr. Ron Paul, please don't say anything.

Instead of waiting for the campaign to do something, do something. Show up in Tampa and if nothing else hand out information to people. Dr. Ron Paul can't do everything nor can the campaign, this requires volunteers acting, peacefully, on their own.

When did we start listening to CNN again?

If the MSM is talking about it, it is NOT IN OUR FAVOR!!!

By them making a deal they only ADMIT to their own CRIMES AGAINS RP Delegates! We legally elect the delegates, they take them away and then we're supposed to be thankful for this "Deal"??? Are they f@#$ing kidding!!??

Sorry we do not negotiate with a domestic threat.

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience"—Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

Are hey kidding us?

"The deal, which is expected to be announced Tuesday afternoon, will seat more Paul delegates at next week's Republican National Convention, an act that could help prevent an organized effort by Paul supporters to try and bring Monday's opening session to a grinding halt."
Will seat more Paul delegates. Is that not a joke? No, it will steal more delegates away from us. It will guarantee that RP will not have plurality and will not be nominated. It will make sure that he does not get to speak at the RNC. In others words we come away with nothing, zip, zero. Is this not insane? They give us a few of the delegates that are all ready rightful ours and then they expect us to sit quietly by while they anoint Romney. What good is any delegate who just shows up and goes along with the anointing of Romney? Am I loosing my mind here or is this the crazy of the year? Will never happen with this delegate. I am going to open my mouth down there so get ready GOP.

Error: ... Romneys "Presumtive" nomination

Ron Paul 2012 !!!

Error: ... Romneys "Presumtive" nomination

Ron Paul 2012 !!!

Not unlike during the Republican 2007-2008

campaign, Republicans and media have conspired to bring Romney to power. Such an usurpation of a Constitutional election seems to be the norm, nowadays, with the Democrats having done the same for Soetoro. This former Democrat/Republican, now, an Independent as a result of the Clintonistas and the Bushites, will never support parties and persons who fail Constitutionally. If it doesn't pass Constitutional muster, it's null and void, unenforceable, and which, according to a bunch of folks who are investigating and litigating such issues this very moment, fully characterizes the current federal government.

Ignoring Rand is a mistake

Ron Paul is making deals not for his nomination but for Rand's future
in the GOP.I love Paul like the rest of you and worked hard for him
here in il.But Benton threw in the towel a long time ago and Paul is
doing deals to help Rand not himself. If it was about getting himself
nominated in Tampa there would be no dealmaking.Watch and see if Paul
even makes it into the Convention,i doubt the deal with Romney will
include any Paul appearance.I hope we see the good Dr. but i doubt
Romney would be that stupid and Benton that smart.

N.J.K.

Romney all ready has a shoein on stupid.

And Rand is dead in the water. And a truck load of Paul delegates are pissed.

The Republican party is corrupt to the benefit of party insiders

not unlike the Democrats. Actually, in that regard, parties of Democrats and Republicans would seem to have much in common with the Communist Party.

There are no ":deals"

They can "deal" all they want. Ron Paul has always stated that he does not control those who support him.
Let the games begin.

RAND PAUL or NOT AT ALL

And they will begin just as soon as I arrive in Tampa. My

chicken will not eat this s***.

Deal with RNC

Not a good deal if Rand is speaking on Mon. because MSM is not airing prime time for convention on Mon.

The fewer people that hear

The fewer people that hear Rand the better. He is not one of us. All he will do is try to sell Romney to us. Who needs that? Only masochists (at least among Ron Paulites) want to hear that.

Just who in the h*** wants to hear

Rand in the first place. And if they expect me to sit through a boring a** speech given by Santorum then they are crazy. Personally I am going to be looking for News media where I can tell our story. Tell how we got screwed out of about six states. I truly hope the rest of the Delegates do the same. If they stick a mic in your face then tell them the truth.

Good luck! You are on the

Good luck! You are on the side of angels. I suppose I'll watch Rand even though I'll be red faced, angry, and spewing profanity.

Now NPR on board with "Campaign strikes a deal."

NPR = Ministry of Truth
Demeaning, condescending, and inflammatory:

Romney And GOP Strike Deal With Ron Paul Loyalists Before Convention
by Liz Halloran - 09:15 am August 22, 2012

The status of Maine's delegates remained unsettled.

The compromise would appear to avert a potential public clash with Paul supporters during the convention's opening day on Monday.

Winning

This is proof we are WINNING!! Yeah, they better start trying to bribe us! Do not believe the MSM on this one. When have you ever known Ron Paul to COMPROMISE on PRINCIPLE? This story is evidence we are WINNING!

I am a delegate. I am going to Tampa, and I have a deal for the RNC. "I nominate Ron Paul to run as the GOP candidate for President". Yep, that's my deal. Hammer Down Patriots! 1 week till game time. Booya!

Good for you

I am a delegate from GA. We do not need to lay down when we get there. I just wish there was some way we could identify each other. We walk into that convention with a RP button on and they will strip search us so fast it will make our heads swim plus they will take our buttons.

Fight!

We have fought too long and too hard to let them steam roller us now!Go RON PAUL! Go all the way! Fight till your last breath for Liberty! For our Children and our Grandchildren,FIGHT!

Barbara Tranquillo

I thought Ron Paul won 27 of

I thought Ron Paul won 27 of the 46 delegates to which Louisiana is entitled ?

So 17 is just an effort to keep everyone quiet so Romney and the Republican powers to be, can have a non controversial conference.

With all the fraud, lost ballot boxes, closing of voter stations, mis-reported results and other shenanigans, I won't be voting for Romney. I'll just write in Ron Paul even if its classed as a spoiled vote. At least the Republican party will have a good impression of how many Republican voters they lost due to their corrupt practices. We will continue to work to replace them all with liberty and constitution candidates.

They really think we can be intimidated to vote for 'anyone but Obama'. Are they that stupid !

;-))

Yea ther perdy stuped!!!!!
Are folk really FREE , if they FEAR to exercise their GOD given rights!

"Pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance." Sun Tzu

Will never vote for these Fascist Pigs!!! Repub or Demo!!!
Write in!!! Protest vote! Yes!! My Morals intact! YES!!
Next time we won't bring pencils.;-)) Peace!

"Are they that stupid?"

Yes. And unfortunately, so are a lot of voters...

Fiasco in Michigan

Hi im a delegate in Livingston county that went to Michigan state convention and just found out last night at the County Convention that the RNC disqualified the two folks that we voted to send to Florida! they claim a goofup in the rules and this is just BS! this crap is how Romnuts is cheating his way in! SO DO NOT GIVE UP!

What concessions has the RNC made?

How is this a compromise if the RNC is still cheating delegates out of their rightfully earned positions? Are we supposed to be appreciative that they are willing to cheat slightly less by allowing just a fraction of our properly elected delegates to be seated? Has the RNC admitted that there's been blatant cheating and disregard of their own rules? How are they penalizing the guilty parties?

NJ

Any one who buys into

this deal is dumber in the head than a Hog is in the a**. I can not believe any one would be so stupid as to buy this hog wash.

After reading Swann's update

It does make one wonder why Romney is picking at Paul's delegates. Seems as though maybe the RNC knows the delegate count and are trying to stifle any chance of Paul winning.
If that's the case the Paul delegation is failing. They may be "negotiating" their way out of a win which doesn't surprise me.
Seems the campaign has been doing that for months now...
Why is Romney going after such minute amounts of delegates if he has this thing sewed up ?
I know one thing, i'll be glad when this crap is over. At least THEN we will have some direction....

"If ever time should come, when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in Government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin."
Samuel Adams

Yeah, We'll have 'direction',

Yeah, We'll have 'direction', I just hope it's not straight down...

Louisiana and Massachusetts should have never

bought into this con. Maine had more sense and good for them. Look at it this way. Some one steals a $1000 off of you. Then they come back and say, "I will give you $400 back and all will be well". Like hell it will.
That is exactly what Louisiana and Massachusetts did. They took the $400.
What a crying same. And grab onto this. That $400 can now go and sit quietly while the GOP anoints Romney. Oh yes that was part of the deal. We give you back $400 of the thousand we stole from you but in turn you have to keep your lips buttoned. If that is not crazy I do not know what is.

Once again Maine has to lead

Once again Maine has to lead the way on Liberty.

I agree with you that the other delegates sold out for too little. BUT in their defense they did not have their governor standing behind them AND they were not the submitted delegates backed by their state party to the convention....Maine is coming from a position of more strength.

That being said. I would never sell out unless we got another state for plurality. Period.

"If you put a gun to my head and said vote Romney/Gingrich/Santorum...I would say pull the trigger!"

As others said

Why are we/they compromising on these decisions? We know the things we want to place into the platform but just because we make a deal and get parts of what we would like into the platform does NOT mean that they will be implemented. Leaving old dogs to learn new tricks. Meanwhile, Romney still hasnt even gave any clue of his own policy lol.

Just need to keep calm, everyone is frustrated with the slow trickling of information but as long as everyone stays vigilant and doesnt start going all negative at every little piece of information we get we can keep moving to the goal.

I love www.isidewith.com shared it with everyone I know. If anything they realize its not just a red and blue idiot running for reelection.
