Shenanigans? LA Ronvoy Departure Suffers 4 Hour Delay

It's been one hectic morning here in Phoenix as I finish packing for Tampa. Along with assisting the broken-down Arizona Delegates in an RV in El Paso, Texas, I have kept close contact with the Los Angeles RONVOY which was scheduled to depart at 9:00 a.m. It seems that Avis denied SEVEN credit cards in a row when they tried to pay for their reserved 12-passenger van arranged through Revolution Travel Management.

They had to go somewhere else.

They were told that none of the 'credit checks' they did on customers would allow release of the vehicle to them.

Seven. I wonder who own Avis? Connections? Who knows.

Now we're 4 hours behind schedule, but at least they're rolling.

It Kinda feels like the chewed-and-spit-up gumball rally - who will make it to Tampa first?

So, the people who wanted to travel on the Ronvoy gave Susan Wolfe their credit card numbers and were going to be charged a massive fee for the convenience (Susan's travel agency cut $100 off the cost, so the profit was clearly $100 or more per person).

Now, when people arrive at the rental places, they are having to give their credit cards to the actual rental places in order to rent the vehicle?

So, exactly what did Susan Wolfe do, aside from be an expensive middle man? It appears that she did not secure the vehicles, or set up professional drivers (as promised)...and that was the reason why she was charging a mark-up price.

Yet another red flag about this festival. I have never given my credit card to a travel agent, and then gotten to the place to learn that I didn't actually have a vehicle confirmed.
