TAMPA (CBS Tampa/AP) — Tampa’s mayor warns that the Republican National Convention could be canceled if Tropical Storm Isaac heads for the city.

Mayor Bob Buckhorn told CNN that he is more concerned about the safety of his people than holding the convention.

“Absolutely we’re prepared to call it off,” Buckhorn explained to CNN. “I mean, human safety and human life trumps politics. I think the RNC recognizes that.”

Buckhorn also added that the city has contingency plans ready in case of an emergency.

Time to INVESTIGATE the investigators of 9/11. PROSECUTE the prosecutors. EXPOSE the cover-up.

Don't listen to this news

It's only going to be a catagory one. Here today gone tomorrow.
Keep on truckin' to Tampa. Oh wait, do you think they'll call it off like they did the "snow flurries" storm in Maine? HAARP.

Keepin' it real.

Is the mayor bought by the RNC and GOP?

if so this could get real ugly real fast, damn so many obstacles to overcome, but then again, nothing in life worth so much is achieved easily!

remember the snow storm in Maine that did not happen?

The Maine GOP canceled caucus where Ron Paul had the most support...because of a possible snowstorm and then said they would not count votes from those because they did not vote within the specified time. The GOP must be scared as hell that Paul will be nominated from the floor and force them to let him speak

pettyphy

It rings a bell dude, but one thing this event tells me is that

Ron Paul may potentially be the most powerful man in the country, the minute someone new hears his ideas, thats it, they stay that way, Freedom is popular and this Country is going to get a dose of it soon

WOW

Thanks for posting this.
