Pastor Steven Andrew Calls Republicans to Nominate Ron Paul for President

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- What if Americans had the ticket to more freedom and jobs, fewer wars, and God's blessings, but they refused it? Christian leader Pastor Steven Andrew calls the Republican Party to nominate Ron Paul for President in Tampa, not Mitt Romney. He is president of USA Christian Ministries and author of "Making A Strong Christian Nation". He gives seven reasons why Christian front runner Paul is superior for the USA.

This is a very important issue

I know there were comments below that went against this type of thinking. But there are major differences in Christianity and Mormonism. First of Mormons believe in a different god then the standard Judeo/Christian does. They believe god was a man who earned his way to being a god. In addition as Dr. Paul was accused of being racist shouldn't Mr Romney's faith also be vetted? Blacks were not allowed to hold the priesthood until the 60's and could never ascend to be a god. Surely young Mitt would have also had these beliefs? So the question needs to be asked how Mormon is Mitt? As a Christian you have a duty to fight this. If president Obama truly does believe in Socialism and Mitt really does end up the GOP nom. It will be the first time there is no God fearing president. Aside from 2008-2012.

Please admit that this has more to do...

...with disliking Mormonism than supporting Ron Paul. Because if you truly support Ron Paul, you wouldn't want to alienate potential supporters by employing religious bigotry. There are plenty of Mormons here on the Daily Paul. Why not let people who have been Mormons their whole lives tell us what they actually believe, instead of what you found after reading for ten minutes on the interenet?

Oh. And for reference

There is a particular comment you should see from Marion Romney who agrees this is the proper lds teaching. Marion was George Romney's cousin, Mitt's 2nd cousin. FYI

"As man is, God once was; as God is, man may become."

If god was once man and became god he was born of sin and therefore is not perfect. In addition that god was not the creator so therefor he was created by a higher god? Polytheism?

So open to all Republicans who call themselves Christians, The God of Christianity calls you to defend your faith and take a stand. Life on earth is too short to push for a political agenda. You must defy the GOP and vote in a true Christian candidate.

The Pope Should Endorse Ron Paul

After all don't Catholics say "Peace Be With You", to each other in Masses through out the world in many languages?

Ron Paul will stop these wars !

This ought to be front page.

Ron Paul is the right candidate...

...because Ron Paul is the right candidate.
And if the republican party wants to win back the whitehouse they better come to grips with that and quick.

RAND PAUL or NOT AT ALL

Say no to collectivist thinking...

...and reject the idea that Ron Paul is the right candidate simply because he goes to the "right" church. By this same logic, because I'm a Mormon, I should vote for Mitt Romney. Will I? Not a chance. Dr. Paul is the right candidate because of his ideas and his principles, not because of the church he goes to. He would reject the idea that a certain religion would make a person a better candidate and so should we. Don't divide the DailyPaul into Christians vs. non-Christians, when all that matters is freedom. Doesn't matter if you're atheist, agnostic, Muslim, Buddhist, Scientologist, Jehovah's Witness, white, black, gay, straight, man or woman. If you support liberty, you have my vote!

As for who the "true" Christians are, that is up to Jesus Christ and no one else!

Feliznavdavid,If you are a Mormon , you are a Christian.

Mormons are not non-Christians. So what you talking about ? Muslims believe in Jesus as Messiah(Al-Masih), Buddha got his quotes from Jesus, lots of gays are Christians, and YHWH of Judaism is Jesus (YesHUasH) even if they do not buy it. PS: AHYH is God. Jesus is Kirios/Lord. His father is Eleison or AHYH/the Being.

I know that, lolly

It's just that a lot of others don't consider me as a Christian, and I wanted to avoid that argument, as it is never very productive.

Exactly

I'm Baptist, and let me tell you, we Baptists have had some "real winners" in the White House...Bill Clinton & what was that peanut farmer's name?

Religion, just another way to divide Friends of Liberty.

Indeed.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.

I liked this quote:

"The Christian leader believes God sent Paul to help Americans, but will Americans listen? "

I also believe this. And I believe that God will cause the American people to listen, He will open their ears. Anyone who does not believe that God can open ears and cause people to hear the truth and obey does not know God.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

"I also believe this. And I

"I also believe this. And I believe that God will cause the American people to listen, He will open their ears. Anyone who does not believe that God can open ears and cause people to hear the truth and obey does not know God."

Bump for enlightening and peaceful truth.
