"Further, in a surprising twist, Whitehead revealed a startling allegation that his client told him about prior to his release. Raub complained to his attorney that one of the psychiatrists that he was seeing threatened to “brainwash” him and force him to take medication."
“That really scared him,” he said.

Why am I
Not surprised that seeing this story has been touched by Glenn Beck that It would present about 1% truth and 99% spin to of course take shots at anyone out there questioning the "official reports" that come out of the propaganda mill.

Contradictory stories
This story is in direct contradiction to what Raub himself said in a phone interview with Adam vs. The Man. He said that he hadn't been given any drugs, and he'd been treated fine.

Psychiatry is not about mental health and not able to deliver it
It has a sordid and bloody history and has been a political tool and weapon form its inception.

That said, at least this will wake up some of Beck's phony teaparty listeners.
Surreal and sad
- It was bad enough before any mention of brainwashing or forced medication.
- It was bad enough before learning that, in Virginia, there were 20,000 cases of "civil commitment" per year.
- It was bad enough before John Whitehead reported that, as of this case making the news, veterans have been contacting the Rutherford Institute from around the country saying that, like Raub, they also had been unlawfully sent to psych wards.
It pertained to a different issue (the never-ending Afghanistan war), but I'm reminded of this quote by an Army vet: "All the 'support the troops' stuff is bumper sticker deep."

After recalling Beck's
After recalling Beck's totally childish attack on Debra Medina over her innocent remark on 9/11, his latest attack on Raub isn't surprising either. Beck is an IGNORANT, pompous jackass to put it mildly.
I agree
about Beck, but this morning on his radio program he has been talking about this case and more. A caller who is a psychiatrist in Florida said she has never seen a state law written as broadly as Virginia's. So, anyway, although Beck is an idiot, at least he is covering this situation.
All I can say is:
I just bookmarked that attorney's organization's website Rutherford.org and I strongly suggest every liberty minded person does. Hopefully I will never need it.

Hopefully, this tragic case will serve as a basis from repealing these unconstitutional laws as I can't imagine any of these laws conforming to ANY constitution of ANY state in the union.
Interesting comment from Brandon's lawyer:
"Whitehead said that veterans have since been contacting him from across the country claiming they too were victims of wrongful detention in psychiatric institutes like Raub. Apparently, there are civil commitment laws in other states as well, he said."
So this is evidently part of some master plan to silence military vets, as we suspected.
