Gawker.com has posted 950 pages worth of confidential financial documents related to Mitt Romney.

Audit files in the document dump also show that Romney has kept a number of offshore accounts through a Swiss bank and a Bermuda shell corporation. Through those accounts, Romney was not "subject to United States federal income or withholding tax on its income from United States sources," according to a 2009 audited financial statement on Bain Capital Fund VIII LP included in the document dump.

Dead issue

Why do people keep beating this issue? I am NOT a Romney fan, but I do like facts and reason.

1) If Romney did something illegal or did not pay what was required, the IRS would be all over him (and if not, that would be a failure of the *IRS*)
2) If we don't LIKE what Romney has been able to legally do, then change the tax code (which *does* need done). This is a failure of *CONGRESS*.

Because beating this issue

Because beating this issue keeps away any talks about the FED, economy, wars, etc.

Some garbage is about to come out about Obama's past this Sunday on FOX, so that will keep everybody busy talking shiat for another month.

Those documents make this have more weight

The Blaze

I have been trying to post the link of this story on The Blaze, where they say "The Truth Lives Here" but they seem to not want to let it go through. I have been telling all the blind that post there that the real truth lives here, we will see if anyone actually wants to do what Glenn tells them, "Don't take my word for things, don't take the media's word, do your own homework, research on your own." - Glenn Beck Just do not try and put your research on his (supposed) news site.

This is the beginning of the end! Either Mitt Loses next week in Tampa, or he loses in November those are the ONLY choices! He is now damaged goods!

I can think of many things I do not like about Romney. The fact that he makes money and puts it in offshore accounts is not one of them.

The biggest argument is that although he is paying an incredible amount of dollars in taxes, he is paying less of a percentage of his wealth in taxes than the average household and is using legal 'tax dodging tricks.'

Simple solution, get rid of the income tax.

I agree with you. Only 5

I agree with you. Only 5 minutes of him speaking about "solutions" to various issues is enough for me to get a clue about him... no need for 900+ pages of further indecency.

It's either empty speech or opposite to almost everything I believe in, and appeal to. Not to mention the constant INCONSISTENCY and flip flopping ... much disturbing, if only for rational thinking !

Now, if that's (this 900+ page leak) what it really takes to help some asleep people wake up... Oh well, *sigh*

"Cyril" pronounced "see real". I code stuff.

I would be fine if Mitt made

I would be fine if Mitt made billions more and lived in a diamond-coated mansion. Doesn't affect me. Jealousy and class-warfare mentality are behind the Mitt 'n' taxes issue. I just don't like the guy for a plethora of other reasons.

Gawker won't be attacked over this, like Assange, because...who runs Gawker?

And apparently he's been keeping a personal eye on Gawker's own offshore financials.

Crooks are crooks, but when crooks call out other crooks for doing the same crooked things, it makes them hypocrites as well.

But hey, no honor among thieves.
