Let Me Get This StraightSubmitted by kevink on Thu, 08/23/2012 - 20:26
Correct me if I'm wrong but let me ask the following:
1) Did the delegate compromises we made prevent us from getting a plurality in states that we would've had (and deserved) one in? If so, why would these compromises be made?!
2) The nomination process was moved from Wednesday to Monday? Bob Wenzel (of EPJ) seemed to think that the reason was to give our people as little time as possible to organize. I wonder if some of our delegates were planning to get there Wednesday to vote but will miss out now that it's on Monday.
3) Kurt Bills endorses Romney after Ron and Rand endorse him?? And he endorses Romney PRIOR TO the convention?? Same w/ Rand obviously but that's "old news" at this point.
4) The laws all seem to favor the establishment when it comes to the RNC. Everything I hear is "it's a private organization and they can do what they want". If that's the case then isn't the whole thing pointless? I totally understand that the campaign has had an enormous educational effect but what about winning the nomination? I mean, what's to stop the RNC from saying "Ron Paul won but we're a private organization so Mitt Romney will be the nominee. Too bad!"
