Do Jesse Benton and John Tate, as reps of campaign, have authority to negotiate election results?

I can understand negotiating how they will instruct their delegations, but how is it possible they can horse trade elected delegate slots as if the votes never mattered?

Why Bother with Delegates when campaign managers can decide

the outcome of a nomination. Why even have a nomination, what is the point. The powers that be have already decided who will be the Republican candidate but We the People, the delegates can still vote for whom ever they want come Monday and I hope they are awake now for the sake of our country.
