Yet Again: Central Planning

Kentucky state senator Joey Pelton at 4:27:

It's a great privilege to be here today to talk about something we can push -- jobs. That's what it's all about, jobs. And [jobs] are what government should be about.

Drug legalization promoters, recognize the words you speak, the words you receive and their manifestations, your acts, will accomplish one thing: moving a private affair into government, a transference that will continue transformation of both entities -- the private person/the individual and the government -- into reversed roles, their unnatural roles: the government person says X, the individual does X: order giver, order doer: master, slave.

Legalization promoters, learn the difference between legalization and decriminalization. Pay attention to words so that you can understand their significance.

Said Pelton at 5:20: [Drug legalization-decriminalization] is not a democrat and republican issue. This [issue] is an issue [we citizens elected to our positions by our fellow citizens] can do to put [our citizens] to work. (DPer: Notice the role reversal.)

State secretary of agriculture Jamie Comber at 13:46: That's one of the roles. ... This is going to be a working commission. This isn't going to be a board that sits and meets and not does anything. This is going to be a commission that will try to create jobs.

Pelton is right. The issue isn't political. This issue is what all issues are: discernment between freedom and slavery and living the state you want. Let us learn words and their significance. Let us trust ourselves, our ears and our minds. Believe what you hear is, yes, what you hear.

Excellent analysis.

It could be considered a friendly warning that government will always try to find a way to justify its unsolicited involvement with every aspect of people's lives that it can identify, be it economic planning, marriage, gun ownership, property rights, safety regulations, etc etc.

Your reply is excellent. But

Your reply is excellent. But I would dismiss "friendly," leaving warning. lol.

Although belated, I hope your Christmas was good, Chris. Happy new year's day too. Let's make this year a good one. New year, more liberty.

Go Kentucky!

One good point that I got from this video that I had not considered... is the registration, regulation, and inspection of the farms that are permitted to grow it. While ideally, they should not regulate what a farmer decides to grow, this is a step in the right direction.

The main reason for not allowing hemp is that it looks too much like marijuana, and you can't tell the difference from the air. If you only have a couple of hundred farms that are regulated and inspected, that blows that reason out of the water.

Will be watching this carefully. Is Rand on the verge of making up for his endorsement of Romney?

Good post!

Kentucky Hemp Commission Meeting Today

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Kentucky Industrial Hemp Commission met for the first time today. The cultivation of industrial hemp may begin as early as the spring of 2014. If you want to invest in industrial hemp in the Commonwealth of Kentucky the time is very near.

This is my new favorite video

This video is like a dream come true for me.

I became a hemp activist in 1993. The medical marijuana Prop 215 in CA killed hemp, and then, and I don't agree with the commissioner on this, the medical marijuana community claimed hemp would cross-polintae and and ruin their crops. I don't believe that. Hell, most mendical marijuana is grown from clones indoors. here, where it is decriminalized.

Hemp for food, feed, fiber and fuel.

THANK YOU RAND PAUL! THANK YOU KENTUCKY. It is a wonderful day. Awesome. I've waiting a long time to see this day.. it's only a start, and it makes me VERY HAPPY!

Hemp Hemp Hooray!!!

.

This issue should be questioned to every candidate for every office. Get involved, gather like minded people, put together groups, talk to as many people as possible, network, and we will make this Hemp Dream a reality.

Now if us r3volutionists

are not looking into ways to get the best industrial hemp plant seeds available, we are missing a ripe opportunity. Learn from what is happening around us so we can capitalize on the knowledge given, in turn we become stronger financially as libertarians to do some good things. There is a reason our Founding Fathers were rich and able to push forward, and there is a reason the people pushing the agenda of today are rich and pushing forward. Let us learn to latch on to opportunities, and to all you Rand naysayers, I stick my tongue out at you, and maybe my thumbs in my ears with my fingers sticking up.

Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must. like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it.-Thomas Paine

The R3volution requires action, not observation!!!!

It's way too obvious, beneficial, and common sense rational...

... so it has a rats ass chance in hell of ever passing lol.

I'm only half kidding. I will be pleasantly surprised if this survives the inevitable tidal waves of ignorance, special interest money and lobbyists, and the total political cowardice of the 'overlords'.

My first instinct is the country is still not ready or smart enough to do it. But hey ... ya never know ..
