Iraq to Receive First Batch of F-16s in 2014

Story here:
http://news.antiwar.com/2012/08/21/iraq-to-receive-first-bat...

Here's the pattern:

1. Lobbyists for U.S. "defense" contractors persuade politicians to give out billions of U.S. taxpayer money in foreign aid...

2. Country recieving such aid is required to use a large percentage to buy American-made military weaponry...

3. U.S. defense contractors (private companies) sell their goods, profiting handsomely off the American taxpayer...

4. Country involved in transaction falls out of favor with U.S. and war breaks out...

5. Same defense contractors profit again when their weapons are purchased by U.S. military for conflict with aforementioned country...

6. Ultimately, American-made weapons involved in original transaction are used to kill American soldiers fighting in that country.

And so the cycle begins again.

Yet Americans (who fund such immoral behavior), seem blind (or apathetic) to the consequences of such a flawed foreign policy.

At one point during the war

At one point during the war in Iraq there were 200,000 foreign and U.S. contractors whose salary was paid by the U.S. taxpayers. How about KBR's cost plus contracts?

Bob Marshall

Well ya...

Now that a "Petro-dollar puppet" is in place, we need to arm him to the teeth against the natives, and against other countries interested in their oil supply. Saddam was a "Petro-dollar puppet" for a long time, but I think he started to feel like a tool after awhile. Started to want his country to have some economic sovereignty, maybe started to feel a little ballsy with the weapons we gave him, so he turned against the petro dollar paradigm. Big no-no....Libya tried it, poof! No more Gaddafi. Syria is trying it- and now our CIA is in there creating a shitstorm. Iran is trying it and slowly SUCCEEDING. So Syria and Iran are next on the chopping block

Also big Western corporations

Also big Western corporations get money sometimes, look at Ford getting around $100.000.000 from the Romanian Gov. to "invest" in Craiova.
Of course the Romanian Gov. got the money from the IMF, the country is around $150.000.000.000 in debt, all this debt was acumulated in the last 23 years and there's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to show for it, except "austerity measures" like 24% VAT on EVERYTHING (food, water, energy, etc), salaries taxed 43%, still the Gov. needs to beg IMF for more debt. Plus other taxes and on top of this you have to bribe everyone in order to get things done or if you get sick, paying medical insurance is not enough, you also have to bribe the doctors and the staff.
During the communism it took Ceausescu regime around 10 years to pay off the $13 billion debt (interest incuded), that was a time when Romania was producing and exporting,so there's no way the debt can be paid with a 4 million people less population and a non-existent economy.

Keep in mind in 1989 Romania had ZERO debt and Ceausescu signed a law making it illegal for any Gov. institution to borrow money, 10 months later he got assasinated and 23 years later the country is bassicaly owned by Western banks.

7. Multinational banks and global financiers ..

.. encourage, enable, manipulate and profit from the entire process on both sides of the conflict.

True Von - about the banks profiting as well.

Win or lose they profit from war.

As explained in "The Creature From Jekyll Island."

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Money borrowed by taxpayers.

Taxpayers only pay the interest on yesterday's debt.

Debt per person is $48,000. And Congress is charging these planes to our credit account.

We need to find a Congress that spends only revenues.

Free includes debt-free!

That is typical for our "Aid" money

A. Part of the money goes to bribe & prop local official and promote socialist (subsidized) dependent weak economy.

B. The rest goes back to Pentagon, US subcontractors and trade unions.

C. There is a rare additional spending for Israel. In addition to A. & B. Israel is forced not to sell its advanced technologies to Russia, China, India, etc to assure Pentagon's superiority. By making Israel weak via A. USA can pay little for C.

That's correct Liberty_First.

And downright criminal.

How long will American citizens turn a blind eye to this?

Immoral war-profiteers who could care less about American servicemen and women lives at stake.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."

True

But trade unions at Boeing & Lockheed Martin just love it.

True again - those same unions give a lot of money...

...from their members' dues - to the politicians for their dirty work.

It's unbelievable how people don't make this connection.

But then again, that's what "Dancing With the Stars" and American sports are all about - distracting the populace with entertainment to keep them fat, happy and IGNORANT.

While fleecing them behind the scenes.

The book "The Creature From Jekyll Island" opened my eyes about this.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Not sure...

...this should be ignored.
