The second day of the Republican convention will feature a video tribute to Ron Paul, the Romney campaign announced Friday.

The film is one of many accommodations for the former Republican presidential hopeful and his network of supporters at the convention. Paul's son, freshman Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), will be speaking on Monday, and the Texas lawmaker himself is planning a day-long rally with supporters on the Sunday proceeding the convention.

"While they certainly disagree on many issues, they have always had, if you watch the debates, a lot of mutual respect between them. Congressman Paul's people came to us and said they'd like to do a small tribute to him, and we said absolutely," said Romney adviser Russ Schriefer during a conference call with reporters.

If they did play a generous video of his accomplishments, I can just hear a pin drop in the auditorium and the gnashing of teeth that will precede the wailing " we picked the wrong guy"

This is the last straw, the burying of ron paul. The RNC creates new rules on the fly to block any ron paul supporters; Maine delegates are thrown out and Romulans will replace them. I am truly broken hearted over all this. I hoped with all my heart right would prevail over might. Now I have lost all hope. How can we make it another four years, the stress is too great to bear. America as a country being attacked from within can never sustain four more years of this onslaught. It is truly the end of free elections in America.

The country is on the brink of total collapse, and it seems the govt is arresting citizens who speak badly of the 4th Reich, and yet and yet we speak about the future. How will we have a future when America is gone, and all who oppose the status quo are in fema camps and fed drugs in their food daily, because I'm sure that's what awaits us. I am truly beside myself in pain over this.

And where do we go from here? Seems to me all ron paul supporters are disorganized, some will vote for Johnson, some will write in Dr Paul's name, some will not vote at all. I wish Ron Paul would spend any remaining campaign money on getting all his supporters to act as one and either write Ron Paul on the ballot or tell us to vote Gary Johnson. He should do this every time he speaks until we all hear him clearly and unite as one.
I look over this last paragraph and see I'm still hoping, but every day is another arrow in my heart, God I can't stop crying.

Who gets the vote?

I think it is easy to say that any votes cast by us Ron Paul-ers will be against Romney! So, in the end, we could vote for Obama, too. Wouldn't that be just as easy? With the two party system, and in a state that does not allow write-ins, I don't have much choice. A vote for any a party, other than the big two, will, also, remove any vote supporting either one. Thing is, they have made me so mad, that I might help guarantee a Romney loss by voting for Obama! maybe they will learn to play fair the next time! Then again, they might prefer to have Obama in control, when the SHlT hits the fans!

The GOP establishment are sore losers/cheaters. I know RP wants the delegates to be respectful, but he also said they shouldn't be pushed around. So which is it? Respect the RNCs decision to exclude RP? Or demand that the real deal be present? I think the obscene power grab to change any rule they please on the eve of the convention equates to us getting pushed around. They've lost any chance that the delegates are going to behave. For this likely event, they've planned ahead and cleared out a jail for the RP delegates.

I cross my arms at them.

What's the point of a RP video playing at the convention? No one but attendees will see it. He cheats RP out of his wins and then wants to post a vid honoring RP? Bunch of freakin back-stabbing actors all for show. Tell them not to air that video. It's self serving and has nothing to do with RP. It's to fool people into thinking they didn't cheat RP.....
Get rid of that video. This is so disrespectful.
Rachael Maddow will be at the convention? I hope RP gets to speak with her on video.

I'm a lifelong Republican, and I will be in Tampa at the convention. I have been to my district and state conventions for the last five years and have been marginalized for supporting Ron Paul. I have witnessed the Republican establishment cheating firsthand.

If you think showing me a video of Ron Paul (who will likely be somewhere in Tampa) will make me happy then you're delusional.

Either let him on stage in person to make his speech or we will work tirelessly to ensure that the people who made this decision are replaced. We have taken over states this year, and we will take over the entire RNC. You can either welcome us and work with us, or we will take over the party and throw you out.
