Maine Delegation Thrown Out

The RNC has voted NOT to seat the elected Maine delegation, and NOT to follow rule 13 which will allow the remaining five delegates to vote on who to seat in Tampa.

The RNC will choose the delegates from Maine.

The Honorable Paul LePage, Governor of Maine will not be attending the GOP Convention.

No downvote from me...

...I've been wondering the same thing...The only justification I can make relies on the conspiracy theorist in me...that he and his family were threatened a la Ross Perot.

General Election

With everything that has been going on with breaking rules, federal crimes committed and "Chicago Style Politics" that would make Obama proud, we have to consider this: If Romney gets the nomination and we write in Ron Paul's name on our ballot, they will figure out a way to give those votes to Romney. I have given this much thought and have come to the conclusion that if we cannot vote Ron Paul, we must consider putting our support to the only candidate that is on the ballot in all fifty states that is closer to Paul's views than anybody else, Gary Johnson. I do not say this lightly as I have had it in my mind to write in Dr. Paul, but I do not want to give anything to the corrupt RNC to use against Liberty. Gary Johnson, although he is not Dr. Paul, is very close in his policy ideas.

For right now, let us continue to battle throughout the week, but if Dr. Paul is pushed out completely, I say let us look at Johnson. With our support, we could get him in the debates, without us he will not have a chance. We need someone in the debates that will talk about Liberty and Johnson may be the only option. Go Ron Paul and his loyal delegates and supporters, but when the crap hits the fan, we must still push for Liberty.

The writing

has been on the wall for weeks now. And many, like myself, have advocated this as a plan B ever since it's been obvious the the C4P had no interest in anything other than hiding while only coming out to lick Romney's shoes... So about a month.

None the less, I gave you a +1 for content re-post.

This doesn't make any sense

Why would Romney even do this? Unless Ron Paul is closer to winning than we imagine...

Otherwise, it seems like he should just let Paul have the few hundred delegates that he earned, and try to have unity and respect in the party. That way he would pick up at least SOME of the votes of Ron Paul supporters in Maine, Minnesota, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, Colorado and other swing states with a lot of Ron Paul supporters.

This strategy, though, burns the bridges, ensures that hardly any of the Paul supporters will vote for Romney (and some will even vote for Obummer out of spite) and will all but ensure losses in all of those swing states. It just doesn't seem to make any sense.

OPEN those Cayman Island & Swiss bank accounts NOW!

The Federal Reserve Elitist families had to have issued MAJOR PAYOFFS to Romney. I suspect BIG money was given to him just to run to lose. Why else would they have ensured antagonism in the RP camp? This way no Paul supporter will vote for Rummey, and Obummer will win for sure. After all, they don't want to REtrain another minion!

This was the final nail in the Rummey coffin. I would REALLY like to see those Romney Cayman Island & Swiss bank accounts to see if the FEDS & their elitist counterparts paid off Romney to run against Obummer and "lose". Bet you there are millions that were deposited in his accounts when he decided to run.

Easy. It's called "5 state plurality." Romney and the GetOut!Party want his coronation, er nomination to be as smooth as satin, which it would not be were Ron on the ballot. My fear is that after the convention the campaign will disappear like a traveling carnival and we'll never get any 'answers' to our many deserved questions. And if Judas Benton has ANYTHING to do with C4L moving forward then support from me they shall not get. I won't subsidize Benton's income anymore. He's going to have to get a real job (although from the half a million he made off the campaign he won't have to do that for a while:( )

If this is not grounds for

If this is not grounds for all out violent civil war I dont know what is. We call upon those who protect us from domestic enemies. The time is now.

Don't hate the player, hate the game!!!

Chaos is coming soon enough...

...I say we prepare then sit on the sidelines and let everyone else do the heavy lifting. When the dust settles we'll be there to pick up the pieces and put things right again.

Calling news stations or enforcing the law?

Is there anything that we can legally do, NOW? (Grrrrrr!)

Would bombarding local and national news stations with calls asking what's going on with all the rule-breaking do any good?

can't avoid civil war with

"President Obama Elected to Second Term"

I don't play, I commission the league.

This is criminal

Why isn't it blasted all over the television? What about all the money these people paid to become a delegate? What about the fees they paid to attend the convention? What about playing by their own rules? They really want Obama to get re-elected and finish off this country once and for all, don't they? This is infuriating, at best. Why would Romney care about a measly 5 states for Ron Paul if he knew he had it in the bag as the media keeps portraying? Not a good day in America. Maine's Ron Paul delegates should show up anyway and make it known since the media isn't. Arghh. I've never been more ashamed of the GOP than I am right now.

Absolutely no way I can

Absolutely no way I can support the GOP man now.

I hope they like Obama...

The governor isn't going

The governor isn't going because he is allowing this to happen.... from the distance... If he had any back bone he would be in Tampa speaking out and supporting the elected delegates... he is no hero!

GOVERNOR needs to issue an Exec Order

To prosecute, at the full extent of the law, anyone other than the delegates who are seated at the RNC for election fraud. The RNC is private but this is FEDERAL ELECTION FRAUD.

And this boycotting thing is ceremonial at most. Obviously the GOP doesn't care if he's there or not.

It's up to the delegates/people of Maine to hold the state Government accountable or let them be mowed over.

Regardless, the REAL MAINE DELEGATES still need to show up at the RNC whether they are seated or not.

The RINOS are planning to hand it to Obama. What you do is for the rEVOLution, not for the GOP.

To All Non-Ron Paul Delegates:

Wisdom Strategies

F$#K the RNC

and their authoritarian bullshit. They won't even let Ron Paul SPEAK at the convention and are robbing him of his delegates so that their prince Romney (who has little chance of beating Obama by the way) can become the nominee uncontested. I forget, is this a democracy or a dictatorship?

So now they pass this rule binding the delegates to the rigged popular vote. It is obvious to me that Romney was APPOINTED as the Republican nominee. He sucked in every single debate. The conservatives are holding their nose voting for him. He is terrible on civil liberties and won't cut the budget by a dime. F#$K Mitt Romney and F$#K the RNC.

What you said about...

Romney being the 'appointed' nominee is something I immediately noticed before the process even started. He was the 'frontrunner' or so said the presstitutes from the get go. Same thing happened with Obama. I never even heard of the man and the press just out of the blue just started gushing about him being the D presidential nominee, a couple of years before the election. Then it was hero worship from there on out. The whole damn thing is a charade.

This is a 'soft' dictatorship we live in.

Quick quiz re Maine delegate issue.

Naturally, the RNC will say that the Maine delegates "refused to compromise." Here is the RNC's idea of compromise.

Let's say (and, actually, this is true), the RNC does NOT owe me $1,000,000. They raised that amount themselves, no help from me! So I say to the RNC, "Hey, let's be friends. How about we compromise? Here's the deal. You only have to pay me $500,000."

True or False: The RNC would likely respond in the following manner.

____ "Yeah, no problem. Thanks for the offer." And they write me a check for $500,000.

Hint: Why would the RNC make a deal with me, when they didn't owe me anything to begin with? They WOULDN'T.

I see a lot of posts from

I see a lot of posts from angry folks (trust me, I'm furious too) talking about leaving the GOP. If anything, all the cheating and corruption I've witnessed in the last few months has strengthened my resolve to change the GOP from within.

Last week I interviewed to be on the Dekalb County, Georgia executive committee. While I don't think I have a snowball's chance of getting on, there are enough young, enthusiastic Paul supporters getting involved that we will run this county's GOP in a couple years. I didn't hide the fact at all that Ron Paul was what brought me to join the party. Rather, I tried to convince them how much better it would be for the party if they would welcome the Paul supporters with open arms. I said, "Look at how much enthusiasm and organization we've got here in Georgia. We only carried 10% of the popoular vote, yet at the state convention we had 40% of the delegates. We're young, enthusiastic, and not planning on going away."

...and I'm not going away. I'm going to be a liberty thorn in their sides!

Good luck with that...

...if you're a liberty candidate, I don't care what your party affiliation is, I'll vote for you. As for me, my new party affiliation is 'unaffiliated.'

You still think it can be changed from within?

Have fun with that! There is no Honor among thieves, there is no Honor in the GOP. I am out!

In many counties, probably

In many counties, probably not, at least not anytime soon. However, in my county at the mass precinct straw poll Paul got 113 votes to Romney and Santorum's 25 each. We have a strong group of liberty-minded individuals here, and actually many of the establishment GOP folks are actually willing to listen (as long as Paul supporters don't yell at them about being warmongers, how Romney suxxxxx, etc etc). I plan to ask Linda Herren (our state committeewoman) about her feelings on the blatant cheatingbreaking the rules, etc. At my interview, she seemed like a reasonable lady, although certainly wary of me as a young "Paul infiltrator."

Charles Gregory, head of GA for Ron Paul, was elected to the state house. Other liberty candidates here won their primaries-- Carter Kessler, someone else I'm forgetting. Regina Quick beat out Doug Mckillip for state house in Athens. SO while on the national level things ain't so hot, on a local level we are working our way into the establishment.

I'm not trying to pressure anyone else to follow my lead, I just believe that this will be the most effective method for me to make a difference at a local level. If I lived in, say, Rockdale county with the warmongering neocons I saw at the district convention, I might have a very different outlook. Additionally, I'm going to look into running for local office.

I think each individual has to make his own decision about the best course to help effect change. If some feel the best route is to go with the Libertarian party, more power to them. My dad was very active in the Libertarian party my whole childhood. I had Russell Means and Andre Marrou both stay at my house during their presidential runs-- of course I had no idea who they were at the time :)

More than anything I just refuse to let myself become jaded and pessimistic. Meeting other folks who truly care about their country and the constitution during this campaign has been truly inspiring, and I'm not about to quit standing up for what I believe in.

"A Liberty Thorn In Their Sides"

Indeed! I love this attitude. The neo-conservatives currently controlling the GOP want us to leave. No, NO Way! Hopefully fairly soon, the neo-conservatives will be the ones wanting to leave the GOP.
