Are We to be Freedom's Phoenix?Submitted by The Libertybelle on Fri, 08/24/2012 - 13:16
Since the crash of '08 many here, including myself, have all been shaken awake to watch in trepidation and growing concern as the world we knew, cobbled together as it was, truly showed signs of systemic decline and failure.
It's now 2012 and it's everywhere. We are surrounded by tension and the expectation of imminent doom that is global in scope. Would anyone here argue that this is not so?
During the coarse of this campaign the pace of the collapse has accelerated at an alarming rate. Dr. Paul spent his entire political career trying to awaken the Congress, and the American people, to the danger, but to no avail. It is entirely possible that Dr. Paul has realized that there is no stopping it now, no matter who is in the White House.
Is seems obvious to me that the opportunity provided by the coming collapse will, in and of itself, perform much of the painful but necessary corrections that he has been promoting for decades. End the Fed, stop the wars, a complete shrinkage of government, etc. - his core issues will have to be implemented for our nation to survive whether or not he is in the White House. There will be no other choice.
The big question is: Will Liberty and a Free Republic spring from the ashes or global totalitarianism?
That is our job now...to make that Free Republic happen, springing from the ashes like the Phoenix. Freedom's Phoenix. One man in the White House cannot stop what's coming or restore our Republic. I know we all realize this, that the future we envision requires US,educated and activated Patriots, to do the work of restoration after the collapse.
Ron Paul will not go away, he will always be here to inspire us should we need it, in the coming years. I have no doubt of that.
So, frankly, at this stage, I am loath to have Ron Paul preside, as President, over the collapse he spend his entire political career warning against. Nor do I want him to go down in history as the President who's Libertarian principles coupled with Austrian Economics caused it. For everything he would do would not prop up this travesty of a society under which we are forced to live. It would utterly change everything. And change it must.
Most Americans, as they have not yet been oppressed enough to feel their faces crushed in the dirt under the boot heels of their masters, would not understand the bitter medicine needed to heal our society - to avoid a collapse. The hue and cry would be deafening, and they would blame Ron Paul and our movement for causing the temporary discomfort required to avoid a collapse if, as I have stated, that is even possible at this juncture.
Perhaps our movement needs to shift gears and think about how we can position ourselves in the future to be seen as the only ones with the message of TRUTH that can restore our nation. Would this not be far better then to be perceived as the cause?
Is this what Ron Paul is thinking? Why he has pulled back?
I don't know. I know nothing.
But these are thoughts that have been running through my mind in the last few months.
Although Dr. Paul will always be my President (oh my heart wants this so!) and I will always actively support This Movement, when I look at the ramping up toward collapse that the last few months has brought us, well, I can see why Ron Paul, always far seeing, would have the good sense to step away from a falling building, so he is not crushed and can be there to help US rebuild.
Forever in Freedom, my Patriot Friends. I remain ever faithful,
